Just picked up a 25l in that colour. Can’t say I can disagree with those cons, but I’m rarely bother by packs not being able to stand up on its own, I never open my bag while it’s hung on a wall, and I generally prefer minimal organization anyways, so this works out nicely for me. That pufferfish gold colourway is dope.
I've been rocking the 32L for over a year now and it stopped my bag search. I love the heck out of it. I had an issue with it an Patagonia gave me a full refund and I just got another one.
I bought the 32 about a week ago - Hard to argue with any of your points! That being said, if you can get a deal (I paid £93), it’s virtually impossible to beat in that price range. I’m a pouch/packing cube kinda guy, and the big open spaces work really well!
Thanx, nice review! What's the name of the yellow one, is it Pufferfish Gold or it's another one? On all other pictures on the web the Pufferfish Gold looks much more "brownish".
Well, cant have super lightweight and then expect all organization being there. We all need to figure out what is important to us. To me it is very important how the pack feels after wearing it for two to three hours - no comments on that front. But the missing hanger is a solid don't-like. Anyway, thanks for the time saving good review, since I can always agree or disagree with what is a negative and positive for you. Definitely enjoyed your run down!
I’ve seen a couple of reviews from you and I gotta say you’re one of the best reviewers out there. A lot of reviewers just repeat the description on the website of the backpack, they don’t critizise, basically they don’t review, they just show. Review doesn’t mean “describe”. I like that you actually tell what is annoying and how the backpack behaves on a real life use. One thing I’d add is how confortable it is when you pack the backpack on the heavier side, which I havent seen that topic brought up in almost any reviewer, and for people like me, who has to carry stuff for basically the whole day (including meals), or has to do a lot of walking is important. Anyways….Subscribed.
Thanks!!! thanks for the note, and yes i should talk more about teh comfort in my next videos! Got two more bags im reviewing next week so stay tuned! I'll have one posted on Tuesday and the other one on Friday =)
@@DesmondCheng I actually bought the MLC mini, as I travel a fair bit. Way more organisation and big space are really maximised. Not sure if it's the best choice as a day pack but as a travel and from time to time day pack, I highly recommend it. The black hole as so much potential but lacking too many key features
I almost ordered the 32L until seeing this and your valid dislikes. All good points helping me reconsider this. But I do have to say the simplicity and lack of organizational compartments appeals to me and my style of packing. Less is more. Thanks for a great review
great review, I don't think they should charge that much for such a simple backpack; you're essentially paying for the patagonia logo only. The old versions were far better!
Yeah I just looked at this bag at REI and think it has great potential, but too many flaws to buy. I noticed that velcro too, super weak. Worse than the cheapest crap I've bought off Amazon. I think it could use better structure with a plastic frame sheet or thicker foam, larger water bottle pockets with a compression strap on each side for tall objects, and a shock cord on the back because one column of daisy chains is not that useful.
Thanks for having the integrity to say a pack is crap for the right reasons. I hope the designers are listening!
yeah hopefully!!!! but i have a feeling they are not lol.

i love the pufferfish! they discontinued it though!

pufferfish gold!
Im a big fan of the Carhartt 35L with the bottom zipper. I was debating between the 32L black hole and the 35L Carhartt. Glad i went with the Carhartt
thanks ill check that out!

Thanks! Osprey parsec i would consider a bit heavier than this, but still in the lightweight category and it has better internal organization!
You made some really solid points in the dislike section!
thanks!
