it's because I came in CLUTCH w/my measuring tape last year at a Savers with Carrie so she could measure some pants and now I'm just living a lie because that was literally the only time I ever remembered it hahahah
@@alexasunshine83 Maybe you should both put a measuring tape in your bag! Or keep it with your wallet/keys etc. so you don't forget ;-) It's pretty smart tho to bring one tho, I've never thought of that!

Thrift therapy is REAL. I feel all warm and cozy and calm just thinking about an afternoon where all I have on the schedule is thrifting. 🥰🤩
I was taught to take the waist of the pants you want and wrap it around your neck and if the ends of the waist touch each other they will fit. 9/10 the pants usually fit it's a weird thing but everyone does it here
In 1973 my husband was in the Marines based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina when we first went grocery shopping at Piggly Wiggly. Coming from Connecticut we were used to grocery stores named Finest or Stop & Shop. I couldn’t wait to phone my relatives and let them know that our first true Southern moment was at Piggly Wiggly.
I’m Australian, and the first time I heard of Piggly Wiggly was in a movie and I thought it was made up. I cannot tell you how overjoyed I was to discover that they’re real. It’s the best name ever.

That spring dress/blazer combo reminds me of pale pink roses when the petals are kind of cream at the base into pink. It’s a stunning combo 🌹

quick hack for measuring pants that i always do an i look like a WEIRDO is taking the waist of the pants and putting it around my neck. If they can go around my neck and touch on the other side, chances are they will fit well!

Fun fact, my parents met because my dad was my mom’s manager at our local Piggly. So the Pig is kind of responsible for my existence.
The floral/pink dress remind me of the dress Carrie Bradshaw wears when she falls into the turtle pond. :)

Karen Kane is $$$$ back in 90’s… I used to buy Carole King clothing at Macy’s years ago and Saks fifth Avenue you did a goodbye that skirt is very cute you can actually wear it with so many things casual or dressy that was a great find you were very lucky with that one. I had a pair of nice crêpe palazzo pants by Carole Kane that lasted me for 15 years her clothes were made really well.

okay hear me out, that long green collared dress... paired with an over sized black graphic tee over it, have the collar stick out the top. with docs or some sort of black boot???? stacked necklaces..... AHHH i need to see it
Look for a tiny keychain measuring tape! Mine is a plastic retractable flexible sewing tape, I found it in a dollar store with the little emergency sewing kits. It's a total lifesaver, I even clip it to my belt loop or bag if I really want easy access to it for pants shopping.
Love your style. I like to look at men's button up dress shirts. I'm short so they are either mid thigh high to knee high.

the measuring tape made me remember a trick my grandma did!! she wraps around the waistband of any bottoms to her neck to see it it fits on her waist. as a mid-size im actually surprised this works 🤪

Another reason larger sizes are gone is because smaller people buy them and either alter them or buy them for an "oversized" look. Don't know how I feel about that.
