no lol its New Jack Swing... late 80s early 90s rnb club sound.... NewjackJeans gives me bobby brown 'every little step' vibes not only musically but also straight up choreo of out of that video... bobbyb browns 'dance you know it' was THE FIRST album i bought with my own money as a kid i musta been 11 or 12 and played it on my 'walkman' constantly!! this is right up there instaly as my joint fave newjeans song alongside new jeans and cool with you.. check out bobby brown 'every little step' video .. you will see the similarities both musically and choreo.. let me know what you think! i dunno man MHJ seems to have the EXACT same music taste as me they keep releasing my fave genres
I swear I’ll get these music genres right one day 😂 maybe if kpop goes on a Houston type rap influence or late 2000’s post hardcore I’ll be able to call it out instantly 💀
I swear the first 10 seconds is straight out from rub the right way by. Johnny gill who was also apart of the same boy band with Bobby brown in new edition and bell biv devoe these guys brought a whole new sound
As for the genre, it can be said to be the '90 old school pop of the new jack swing, but it is a very finely tailored song and also has an emotional ballad feeling.
The 90’s sound was super heavy but I’m all for it!

Super Natural’s sound/genre is New Jack Swing (late 80/early 90s) if you didn’t know. Alot of people resonated with the mv concept and the choreo especially , definitely their best and I think this is their best song tho especially with that ending (just my opinion🙌🏽)

@@HallyuBlastEnt i think this is their best song as well... at least joint top with new jeans and cool with you... soooo nostalgic for me given bobby browns 'dance ya know it' was the very first album i bought with my own money as a child when i was like 12 and this song is sooo remeniscent of that album
@@HallyuBlastEnt I think it’s top 3 solely because this style fits them more dancing but the actual song showcases their vocals really well also hope they lean more into this old school hip-pop/R&B style in their next album

they sampled 'Back of My Mind' by Manami which is produced by Pharrell, that's why he's credited
