Funny, I really don't remember a specific team order (other than this one) in the 2021 season for Bottas. Remember much more from the Vettel Ferrari era.
The team orders in 2021 more were forcing Bottas to take engine penalty after engine penalty, they were stress testing an engine to give hamilton an advantage in the final 4 races. Also, for most of the season Max and Lewis were so far ahead that team orders just didn't matter, no other drivers that year really ever looked to be winning a race on merit.
The fact remains that shamilton heavily relied on his wingman Bottas and basically used him as a crutch to win many titles. The same can't be said about Perez however even though many of shammy's fanbois try to say he's Max's wingman. in the past years, Max has won enough points alone to win Red Bull the championship. Shamilton could never do that.
🤣 You obviously weren't watching in 2021. And the 2023 Red Bull was the most dominant car of all time. Meanwhile, When hamilton had a dominant car, he also had an extremely competitive teammate taking points.
@@valerierodger So Hamilton is slow enough for his teammates to be competetive? Sounds like a skill issue. A 7x WDC shouldn't be losing races to Rosberg and Bottas.
Why is this even controversial? Imagine the outcry if Perez had pitted and taken the FL point off of Max. Even all these years later and with Hamilton not being dominant anymore some fans still can't drop their double standards.

I love what this video points out. Bottas was always there to give position to Hamilton. Verstappen fought most races on his own that year, Perez was hardly a help by moving over and giving points away
First thing is why they pitted him on soft if he is not going for fastest lap, his tyres would make it to the end and he is 3rd anyways. Second thing is Valtteri at the final sector aborted his fastest lap but he was so fast in first two that he got it anyway... but at the end Lewis pitted for softs and got that fastest anyway so all of this stories are just for fun...
For better clarification, could you please make a video on how many times Bottas recieved team orders to assist Hamilton in his championship fights. Because you said *MANY* and I only know of 2.
For me, the proof that Bottas would not help Hamilton for the championship was in Spain, Verstappen and Hamilton had stopped in the pits and returned behind Bottas (who had not entered the pits yet), Verstappen overtook without resistance, but Hamilton was held back for a few corners and Bottas could have simply gotten out of the way. In return, he secured the constructors for Mercedes
Bottas got done dirty in '21, the amount of team orders, having to give up wins and positions, being screwed over in strategy and sacrificing his race to stay out to block Verstappen and then be the engine guinea pig for Lewis by having to take penalties every other weekend or so.
People are wrong. The best part of this is the second Merc lost ground and didn’t have the fastest rocket ship on the planet Hamilton jumped ship to Ferrari and now they’re stuck with George as a #1. Huge Bottas W.

yeah, they used him as a guinea pig in 2021 instead of constantly giving him team orders i think.
Premium racing series - telling premium race drivers to go slow. Ridiculous.
I remember seeing in Formula E, somebody got a penalty for "using too much power". I'm sorry, I thought racing cars were meant to go fast
Sanest Verstappen fan
This guy lives a miserable life
🤣 You obviously weren't watching in 2021.
IMAGINE DRIVING FOR A TEAM AND YOUR OWN EGNINEER TRIES TO SCREW YOU ... WOW MERCEDES ...JUST WOW
? Was it the engineer that lifted out of the last corner? Or Bottas himself. He's just a bottas, there's your answer.
@@5950ziel HIS CONTRACT WAS ON THE LINE KIDDO
@@5950ziel YOU SOUND VERY SIMPLE
Why is this even controversial? Going into this race Hamilton led Verstappen by just 3 points in the championship standings and as things stood Verstappen was going to take the lead by 3 at the end of the race, in such a close championship (which Valtteri was not a part of due to being so far behind) what's wrong with ensuring Lewis got the FL point? Imagine the outcry if Perez had pitted and taken the FL point off of Max. Even all these years later and with Hamilton not being dominant anymore some fans still can't drop their double standards.
Bottas wasn’t in the championship fight Lewis was
Like what are we doing here loooooooool
valteri bottas is my favourite adopted australian, i hope he comes over and has a crack at V8 Supercars one day. I love the guy.
i fell asleep before the end .
Which would have been the time if Bottas didn't lift?
1:11...?
Bottas is a BOSS.
While I can unherstand his contract term. Announcing that Valtteri would part ways with Mercedes after 2021 so early in the season are their biggest mistake
F1 is a cruel sport.Everyone talks about how being a team player matters but the truth is that the only way to avoid these situations is by being consistently quick.Nobody would dare to touch prime seb vettel or max now when they ignore tean orders because they know the team needs them for their speed.
Its a shame we wont have the fastest lap point anymore. Usually its pointless, but it creates these historical moments at times
Bring 2nd driver was not meant to be a team game unless they understand how driver feel after being ordered too much
One driver is an all time great with multiple world championships, the other is a journeyman
NOW WHERE IS THAT "James, It's Valterri. FAK YOU!!" moment MAN?!!
Thank you for using text instead of an AI voice. Keep up the good work and my best to you and yours.
I love what this video points out. Bottas was always there to give position to Hamilton. Verstappen fought most races on his own that year, Perez was hardly a help by moving over and giving points away
The life of a number 2 driver.
3 of Lulus championschips were won with only. 1 point difference t no2 . 7 years in the fastest bolide wow what a goat.
Watching Mercedes was like watching a presidential election
Funny, i've seen this vid first on here, now the official F1 Channel posts a video about it...
For better clarification, could you please make a video on how many times Bottas recieved team orders to assist Hamilton in his championship fights. Because you said *MANY* and I only know of 2.
After playing F1 Manager 1:20 pretty much felt like home lol
Im taking my popcorn and going to comments section to see what the experts’ opinion on who is the best driver, best wingman and best car
😄
For me, the proof that Bottas would not help Hamilton for the championship was in Spain, Verstappen and Hamilton had stopped in the pits and returned behind Bottas (who had not entered the pits yet), Verstappen overtook without resistance, but Hamilton was held back for a few corners and Bottas could have simply gotten out of the way. In return, he secured the constructors for Mercedes
Intense team order and yet got knocked out.
Was it Baku where he qualified P3 on purpose, cause he knew P3 is better starting position than P2?
"Valtteri, it's James...."
Bottas got done dirty in '21, the amount of team orders, having to give up wins and positions, being screwed over in strategy and sacrificing his race to stay out to block Verstappen and then be the engine guinea pig for Lewis by having to take penalties every other weekend or so.
If he did not lift in the last corner he would have taken it.
If he wouldn't have lifted in s3, he made a very good chance to get that fastest lap. Shame he didn't say "fuck you" and went for it fully.
That car was a weapon
How good was the Alpha Tauri in ‘21 for that plumber Gasly to be in 4th on straight-up pace?
Never dissrespect gasly like that
@@williamhendrichs5083 Just did. So?
@@happycanayjian1582 Yeah IT was 3rd car on tracks like Mexico,Zandvoort and some others
And that is why we the Dutch love Valteri :-)
Of course, Max is a Dutch personality, but Lewis is a world one!
@@alntdi1 what a gay comment
Times when the Merc made you hit fastest lap without even trying
James, it's Valtteri, I'm just playing
was team order legal in 2021? if yes why did they lie to him?
It looked he was securing the fastest lap if lewis ever have an unwanted incident. To make sure that maybe perez wont steal it?
Lol are you serious? He was literally doing it to fk with Lewis. Everyone who drives with Lewis hates him, he's a scumbag and a HORRIBLE teammate.
The one time bottas didn’t yield
People are wrong. The best part of this is the second Merc lost ground and didn’t have the fastest rocket ship on the planet Hamilton jumped ship to Ferrari and now they’re stuck with George as a #1. Huge Bottas W.
I come from an athletics background. Nibody ever gets told to slow down to let a teammate win. This stuff made F1 hard to get into
Bottas also made the 2021 championship closer than it should have been by ramming Max and others in Hungary in the wet
Bot: I need that seat!
Audi: That’s not my problem
Love Valtteri...BIG MISTAKE GETTING HIM GONE THIS YEAR!!!!!
If it was my karting arena, they'd just cap the speed to stop the fastest lap attempt.
I am new to formula 1 sport racing. What does this mean?
This means the father has a favourite child and the other child has to get lost
When Rosberg retired, the championship winning seat was the best that nobody wanted.
Btw, who gets Lulu’s seat for next year? Still no decision? I don’t have access to the net 😢
LOL What are you on? Everybody wanted that seat. All the contracts were already signed. Mercedes was able to get Bottas because he was at Williams
@@mikaelbiilmann6826some rookie moron who crashed two laps into his f1 career
We are so back
bro literally said 'hmmm IF'
not being fast is a different, not being able to gather the team around you is anotther thing ..
hamilton is not faster than you...but we want him to be so please slow down. confirm you understand this message
Merc not being straightforward as always.
I miss Bottas
Where is him now?
In Sauber
He's away fishing. Good weather for it.
In sauber, usually last 5 xD
Currently a 70’s hairstyle lapping at 70’s pace.
That happens when you re #2 of the team. But still very well paid
Valteri it's james ahh moment
Amazing data from sector dividing
James: Valteri, it's me. I'm gay and I piss and shit all over myself.
Bottas helped Max. :D
Mercedes won constructor title many years with performance of Valtteri.
Haha! He loves de Aussie lifeshtyle!
What an skill issue in Equal Machinery
Aftwr he took both redbull cars out at the start of that one race he should be allowed to drive in the opposite direction if he so chooses.
yet lulu fans think Lulu did it all by himself. Lulu is the Greatest Bottler of all Time
Wow, rent free in ur head ain’t he
keep crying cheaters. lets not get started on shitty teams.
And the most succesful driver oat
Yeah cause we never seen Checo backing Hamilton so Max can get closer to him. Oh wait....
How about your fraudulent neweymerchant who needs illegal car to win all championships. Wait till you see him this weekend being nothing with a legal car
Mercedes, Mclaren and RB are weird. The other teams probably too, but those teams are really good at screwing one person on their team at any moment in time. Ferrari screws both so they get a pass.
