Hello, I have two questions. Which power source would be used for DC BUS1 and DC BUS2, when I have both engines and DC generators running, but I just connected external power and pushed EXT PWR on? So this is example of just arriving to stand and GPU being connect while both engines (or single engine) are still running. And second question. DC BTC should I think prevent situation when it is closed but DC BUS1 and DC BUS2 are powered from different sources. Does it means, that DC BTC shall open slightly before GCU connect generator to DC BUS via 11/12PU? Thank you for answer.
Each engine is equipped with a high energy ignition system: Two engine ignition exciters (A and B) powered by the DC supply and two spark igniters, one for each ignition exciter. The engine ignition system provides ignition for: - On ground starting using exciter A, exciter B, or exciters A + B (based on ENG START selector position) The use of exciter A or exciter B can enable to detect an hidden failure. - In-flight starting will use exciters A + B regardless of start selection - Adverse weather operations are done using exciters A + B.
