    Great video!
Watching your process is really cool. You're definitely ambitious, and the way you organize yourself so you can achieve writing goals is inspiring. Sounds like you're on a good schedule, and I look forward to seeing how things progress in your upcoming vlogs.
As far as moments where things, "clicked," there's not many of them on my side. I tend to brute-force the story along, so that's why these videos are so informative. Even if it's not my own story, just seeing the beats of a proper outline can really lend some perspective. I'm going to try and incorporate some of these tools in my new project, and hopefully, writing it will become a little smoother.
Thanks for being an awesome part of the community.

That’s awesome! I definitely have to brute force my way through a story sometimes, so I totally get that. That’s what I love about chatting with people online about their processes though is it’s a great way to incorporate new things into mine. I hope some of this helps with yours!

I don't usually read middle grade, but this one sounds fun. I hope you publish this one. On a different note, I would be interested in a video discussing the difference between a beat sheet and an outline. I thought they were the same thing?? I am trying to learn how to outline as all my stories just end up being a slice-of-life with no direction. I haven't finished Save the Cat, but would still be interested in that difference between beat sheet and outline.

That’s a great idea! For now my short answer is that a beat sheet (at least the way I use it) is tracking the internal story/structural arc of the story as it relates to the major theme while an outline is usually tracking the external story and what is happening chapter by chapter or scene by scene. People use outlines in a variety of different ways though-it just depends on what you personally want to plan for your story before you start drafting! I like thinking of story beats as the rhythm of the story with the outline being the melody. Hope that helps

I love this story idea! Also this comes at a great time, as I'm coming back to writing from a long hiatus as well.
