it took me some time to find an answer for this question. When do I need to replace it? Distance drop. When you need to get closer lock or unlock your car. Thanks. Good advice.
I had that problem with my 2014 Honda crv when I was at the grocery store parking lot I thought the car battery was going bad or the alternator too which it wasn't it would send me code which it didn't cause my key was acting weird 3 months ago but I cleaned it too so it's back to normal
Dbj... just in case you do this......if you keep your fob within a few feet of the car, it continues to ping the car. This will drain the battery (per my owners manual). So, don't leave key in the cup holder...experience.
Super helpful, many thanks!
Thank you for that. My fob is getting slower or not enough when it should work.
Thank you

Very helpful information. Thank you!
You can actually use the key you kept away in your pocket, to pry open the key fob without needing to pry it open with a screw driver
Exactly 👍
How to deactivate sensor so that door doesnt open after locking?
👍
This guy is an expert & is afraid he's gonna break the plastic, yeah, methinks I will always leave it to the experts
It would be nice if you could just check the battery life on the car menu 😂
My key fob battery dies everyday and i need to replace it daily. Any idea?
Your battery buttons are stuck on load position.

This is for a care with push button start. My 2017 Camry does not have button start. So what is the procedure for maniacal key starts
Thank you

Don’t handle new battery with oily fingers! If you do, wipe with rag or paper towel dampened with alcohol.
