Useful information. I own my Octavia 2 for more than 13 years and didn’t know about this one.
It's certainly a handy feature. As I recall, it's not mentioned in the owner's handbook (which is odd).

Yeah, same here, have had my Octavia mk2 RS for 8 years now, and never knew there was a storage spot for the parcel shelf :p
Not that I've removed it more than maybe once or twice in all that time, I didn't buy a modified RS to transport big things :P

HELP have a2009 Skoda octavia with a rear parking sensor which I have identified as not working but how the hell do I get at it there doesn’t seem to be a vid for this model can I prise it out or push it ???
Have you looked under the car at the inside of the rear bumper?
@@CarSpyTV yes but no access unless I take the bumper but there is a plastic moulded panel which covers the boot latch held by two plastic nuts 10 mm and slips under the door gate seal have taken nuts off but can’t take it off there doesn’t seem to be anything visible holding it and I don’t want to force it in case it breaks ?
I've just checked our car. If you lie on the floor and look up at the bumper, you can see the back of the parking sensors. If you need more space to remove the sensors, you can loosen the bottom of the bumper by removing four torx bolts. Good luck.
