Oh how Music thrived during the 70s. I love this era SO MUCH!
ABBA,Led Zeppelin, Chic,Black Sabbath,& the Carpenters. Now that's what i call an awesome list.😎👍👍
Yeahh, folks, you see? Here it is, THIS music, one of the few reasons why I’m still stayin alive!
Retro greetings from coastal Mississippi. So glad l heard these treasures first hand in the 70's. Such a great musical decade. ABBA 50 this April 2024. Thanks for the groovy tunes❤😂🎉
The best decade. 70's forever
The 60's were far better!!!
Ha if u remember it u wernt there party 7 n a bifter
If you don't like 70s music, why are you here?
@@veronicaprado_ To let you know that The BIGG 80’s hands down the best Decade in music, Amen
Name a decade with a more complete diversified sound of great music and musicians. I'll wait.
I was born in March 1963 so I was a child of the 1970s and glad I lived in that time. We had the BEST Music great TV people were friendlier and times we more easy. My favourite 1970s 2 songs are 1 Bridge over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel and 2 How Deep is your Love. Bee Gees.
I was born in d 70s & I love 70s but I believed 80s is golden era music .
70s was GREAT music, but SO WAS THE 80s.
Unquestioably the greatest era for popular music.
Ah, Let It Be... I sang this song on my father's funeral more than a year ago... Everytime I hear it, I remember all time I spent with him, despite painful.
I miss him dearly.
Sorry for your loss, take care 🤗
I'm Sorry For Your Loss
My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
My dad was a kid in the '70s. Those are the popular songs in his childhood says.
I'm waiting for 00 songs that defined the '00s !
"_" by "_" is my favorite song from the 00's.
Don't make me feel old that makes me feel old
Exactly. I couldn't name one band that write their own music and play their own instruments from the 00's. Unlike the 70's that produced a plethora of amazing bands, whose music is still played today on commercial radio.
@@VolkColopatrionsame! 😂
Yeah the 1900s were the best!
Thanks for all of these songs, my dearly departed mother loved to dance to them all. 💃💕
I love the story of when Queen were in the studio and Sid Vicious showed up and mocked their sound. Freddie mocked him right back, calling him Simon Ferocious and grabbed him by his lapel, picked him off the floor and literally threw him out of the studio.
I hope this doesn’t change your view of the ultimate singer, but that’s just a story. And a sad one. Sid was 6’ 2” and outweighed Freddy by about 15 pounds. Freddy was 5’9” or 5 inches shorter
@@debbylou5729 Brian May himself told the story several times. And Roger Taylor corroborated it.
Size and weight become irrelevant if you are motivated enough.
@@FuzzyFoot58too right. Height and weight don’t mean much if you don’t know how to use them
So many great songs and many memories relived. It is like my life through the 70's in song.😅 Life seemed simpler then as a teenager despite the usual angst. Music certainly played a big part in my life.🤗
It Feels So Good To Go Back To Memory Lane
The Golden Age
Fantastic compilation!
70s rock forever.
Part 2, please!
Another great montage by Some Random Guy. Personally would have liked to have included the first record I ever bought "Dont Give Up on US" by David Soul RIP. But a great collection all the same
Brilliant List, great job as always. Thank You 😊
The 70s had some great music!😊
Look at the all kinds of music we had at hand...unbelievable.
Very few I didn't recognize. Thank you. Love the trips down memory lane.
Awesome songs I would add this as well
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Voodoo Chile
Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song
The Who - Baba O'Riley
Sly & The Family Stone - Family Affair
Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Lucky Man

Patti Smith Group - Because the Night
The Clash - London Calling
Blondie - Heart of Glass
Michael Jackson - Rock With You
Sugarhill Gang - Rapper's Delight
Supertramp - Breakfast in America
Three Dog Night-Joy to the World as well.
Some great choices there.
There were so many great songs over the decade it's impossible to get them in when it's limited to 70.
Cockney rebel sebastian
@@louisuytdenhouwen8078I forgot that one love that song
Voodoo Chile is from the 60s
These songs bring back good memories. Thank you Some Random Guy👍
The good stuff has stood the test of time. The crap has been forgotten. People sometimes forget this and conclude that all music from the past was better than today's music.
My pick for the most influential song remains I Feel Love. Along with Blue Monday a few years later, the beginning of a whole new genre.
Im a gen z and I love old music. I do like some of now music but mostly good old music.
@@nataliejones8308 I was a teenager in the '70s and remember it well.
At the time a recording was only released if somebody other than the artist liked it and thought it was worthwhile. Now any idiot can upload to RUclips/Spotify/whatever. It shows.
@@marsgal42 The artists I love from the 70s are Queen, David Bowie, Genesis, Boston, Elton John, ABBA, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Dolly Parton, Stevie Wonder, Eagles, The Police, Billy Joel, KISS, Led Zeppelin.
The list goes on. I feel like I listen to old music because my parents listen to them growing up as well. I wish people in my generation accepted these kind of music since it's "Real" music than now.
@@nataliejones8308 How do you define "real music"?
@marsgal42 no auto tune, have good talent by playing the drums (like Phil Collins, Roger Taylor, Neil Peart, list goes on), the guitar (Eddie Van Halen, Tony Iomni (if that’s his name, from Black Sabbath), list goes on), bass ( Alec John Such (Bon Jovi), John Deacon, list goes on), and singer (Freddie Murcury, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Steven Tyler, list goes on).
I know this is music related but off topic with the 70s and more old music but I have played trombone for 8 years and have a lot of musical talent. I agree with what you said (as a gen z since you already know). I don’t want to argue or anything, I’m just agreeing with you with what you’re saying. I get educated with music and pop culture so…..
Soundtrack of my 20’s WOW!!!
The ‘60-‘70s was one of the greatest eras of music. We were spoiled and didn’t know it at the time.
❤ 70's
I had started listening to Western music in the mid 80s. After reaching my 40s, I understood that the 70s was the best era. Most of the songs in my present collection are 70s hits. The best era.
The 70's: the decade where I was born! 😄😄😄😄
Here before it gets taken down again
Thanks For Sharing!
Great list, but there are many more songs that I really think should be mentioned here.
Life in the Fast Lane
Take it Easy
Desperado
Highway to Hell
Wish You Were Here
Man on the Silver Mountain
Highway Star
Burn
It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock and Roll)
Whole Lotta Rosie
Heartache Tonight
Wonderful Tonight
Cocaine
Lay Down Sally
Let There Be Rock
Iron Man
These are just some many favorites of mine. I'm not really huge into disco.
Aaah my teenage years, soo good. That music is still playing in my house, will to the day I die and hopefully at my funeral so everyone can dance their feet off 💕💕💕💕
Hope you had a great Day. 💕
Love your Videos. ❣️
Greetings from Germany. 💞

Yet another excellent compilation of 🎵 from.a superb decade that was the 70's along with the 60's & 80's we were blessed with terrific artists & song writers never to be repeated!! Thank you for that SRG 😊❤🎉
Despite being born in 1981, I heard most of these songs when I was a kid. I became familiar with "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" through a remix that was released in 1993. I was already familiar with "Hotel California," but when I heard the acoustic version on that MTV special in 1994, it was love at first listen. I wish I got to hear "Sultans of Swing" back in the '80s (I'm not sure how I missed it back then), but I did look at the video in early 2024 and I discovered why it was so popular.
You started on the right path to music..
Wow what a collection of songs, thank you for the memories. Everyone of those songs could beat any of the rubbish produced in the last 25 years.
Love this music, so many good memories❤
Thanks for the memories SRG!
Fun Decade🎉
O the memories love to be back there again thanks for sharing 😅😅❤❤
The 1970's was the yrs. of great music. I have ticket stubs from when I saw Boston, Blondie, Rush, Meatloaf, Sweet, & Foghat and the prices were
$6.00 to $6.80 a ticket. I wish we could go back to those prices again.
EXCELLENT 🤩🤩🕺🕺💃💃
Excellent 70’s playlist, thank you, dare I say Ruby Tuesday -Melanie should be included, I know we all have our favourites but Melanie certainly made this Stones track her own🚲😎🇳🇱
Oh je hebt gelijk broer! 🫡😎🤠
What a great video Random!! I think I listened to these songs more than I did the 80's songs when growing up. You always bring back memories for me/us gen X'ers:) Thank you!!
Yeah, some great memories there. Ok, I didn't think much of the Bay City Rollers, and I didn't think much of the Village People, but I do remember virtually every one of those songs. Glad you remembered Baker Street, that was a defining song.
Stairway of course, but every single track off LZ number 4 deserves to be on this list.
Did we get something off Dark side o the Moon?
Did we get something off War o the worlds?
What about Suzi Q and Devil Gate Drive?
How about some Neil Diamond ~ Sweet Caroline perhaps? Not exactly my speed but if you're defining the music of a decade, you really can't leave that out.
How about a bit of Meatloaf? Almost any track off that album but perhaps the best was the title track.
If you're going to have Do the Hustle (which I'm not arguing with) then you got to have Everybody was Kung Fu fighting ~
The Night Chicago died ~
Ma Baker ~
Marvelous! Thanks. ✨
Good ones.
Hay hay hay!!! (Cue theme song)
Child in time deserved too be on this list 😅
Great video bro
Exciting!
Good selection!😊
Excellent selection. ❤
J’ai pris une claque en visionnant cette vidéo
❤️❤️❤️💔
Mais j’ai apprécié
Quel souvenir !!!!
🤦
Let me guess: yesterday's video got a copyright strike and you had to re-upload it? That must be annoying! I love your videos! ❤
Yes, yesterday's video got blocked.
Thank you so much Random Guy!! 98% of the songs were when I was in High School. Soooo many memories. Thank you man!
This was fun!😃 Maybe just about 10 songs here that I can't relate to or don't like. The rest - 💯
Great list😊
You Light Up My Life by Debbie Boon was number 1 in Billboard's Hot One Hundred for 10 weeks and is not in this list.
I would have included Bennie and the Jets and Philadelphia Freedom.
ELTOOOOOON.
IN 1970 I WAS 4 YEARS OLD AND IN THE END OF THAT DECADE I WAS 13 TO 14 YEARS OLD(1980), SO I REMEMBER SOME OF THE HITS BEFORE THE END OF THAT DECADE.🇨🇾🇨🇾👍👍
All chart hits but Led Zepplin. They didn't need the charts xxxxxxxxxx
Hugs from Brazil 🎉
Any song by David Bowie, Donna Summer, ABBA, and The Bee Gees
By the rivers babylon I was with my dancing queen, then we sat down with our bohemian rhapsody and we stared at the blue sky and those nearby we told them, we will rock you and they misunderstood and we didn't want our waterloo!
The 70s started out brilliantly then slid into black ghetto disco. Dire Straits and The Police led us back into the sunlight.
Don’t forget Boston’s debut album!
If you decide to do another seventy...
Ray Stevens "The Streak"
Barbara Streisand "Memory"
Star Wars Theme
Bread "If"
Alicia Bridges "I Love The Nightlife"
"Beautiful Sunday"- Daniel Boone
Dear Some random guy 😉!! Thanks for efforts ☺️. And let's all, who strikes your so short cuts, be cursed!!! They are stupidly greedy freaks. And simply don't understand that we, after your reminder, go to their channels to hear full tracks. Thanks for your work
What next? 60 songs that defined the 60's?
Yep knew it...
Only one song that I didn’t know. No songs by Styx or Jim Croce? 🤔🤔🤔
Molto bello il video io sono un tuo grande fan
Great transition from “Let It Be” to “Paranoid”😂
Toute ma jeunesse de18 à 24 ans 🥲
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
very nice and very concise compilation but i miss Blitzkrieg Bop from The Ramones and Let there be rock (or High Voltage) from AC/DC that should not be missing
Good list. Needed more Pink Floyd tho

Nothing representing the whole teen fan thing - David Cassidy/Partridge Family, The Osmonds, not even the Jacksons!
One punk song which is one more than I anticipated.
What a great list of songs. When someone comes along in 2074 and makes a list of great songs of the 2020s they'll have to limit it to 20 songs - music has gone terrible again. (Like it did between 1990 and 2010.) We did an icebreaker at work, what was the number 1 song on your 21st Birthday. Mine was Whitney Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You," which I refused to play and instead played Dolly Parton's original. It was surprising how few people knew it was a cover, and how many people actually appreciated the original. Also, when I explained the lyrics are not about romantic love but a thank you/apology to her mentor after she quit his show for bigger things everyone understood why the songs first lyric is "If I stayed, I'll only be in the way.."
What s the intro at 0:00?
Layla - Derek and the Dominos

Where were slade and the glitter band?
En tout respect, Où sont les chansons de Styx, Van Halen, The Beach Boys, The Ramones, Genesis, Peter Frampton, Bob Seger et le groupe Slade ???

What's the intro song?
Layla by Derek and the Dominoes
@@lagrandesatanichiakurumiza9630 Thanks.
Where's the Genesis, Yes and ELP?
❤👌
Elton.
it's impossible that there is only one David Bowie song...
Thought this was done last night?
There might have been a copyright claim filed or something, I am guessing.
Last night's video was blocked due to copyright infringement, so I replaced the song in question.
Curious as to what song was it?
Surprised the Eagles are still in there.
@@ELEcomments Highway to Hell - AC/DC
do you have email? I need help identifying a song!
The Bigg 80s,…..the Best Decade in Music
Smokie living next door to alice? Kraftwerk Das Model? Racey some girls?
No ACDC ?
They were included in the original video with 'Highway to Hell' but then the video was blocked due to copyright infringement because of that song. So I replaced it and re-uploaded the video.
