- Kia K5 Intake Filter and ADD W1 BOV Adapter Installation step by step. How to install Kia K5 K&N Intake Cone Filter and ADD W1 Blow Off Valve Sound Adapter? In this video we install and test drive both the K&N cone air filter and the BOV Adapter from ADD W1. Installing the K&N cone filter increases the performance and acceleration response of your car, it also opens up the intake system so you can hear the turbo spool during acceleration. With the filter installation alone you will be able to hear the relief valve or bypass valve "pshhhhh" sound softly. But once you install the BOV adapter the bypass valve "pshhhhh" sound is appreciated louder. Allen Wrench Size is 4.5

Now go get a Spectre intake 45* intake tube to replace the intake silencer/baffle just before the turbo inlet. Or get a full intake.

I tried doing mine today and messed up pretty badly and don’t know what to do.. I got 2 bolts off but the one that might be hard for everyone which is in between all the plastics and frame if that’s what it is. Long story short I ended up stripping that bolt trying to loosen it and getting it out but nothing. Just ended up putting everything back to how it was and thats that. Please any guidance would be appreciated!!
I’m sorry to hear that! If the bolt got stripped, there are ways to take it out, but you should have replacement bolts in hand because that one might no longer work. Those bolts are very tight, is important to have the right size allen wrench and preferably the T type like the ones I included the link for in the description.
Can’t u just disconnect the Mass Flow Sensor during the progress then reconnect it when u are done?
I didn’t disconnect it, but I have seen comments of people that have disconnected it during installation. The important part is to make sure you take picture of the correct orientation before so you have a reference when you install back. Also ensure that the wiring connector is put back in correctly.

its the install the same for the 23 gt k5?
The install I show is only for the EX, GTLine and lower trims with the 1.6T engine. It doesn’t apply for the 2.5T GT

No lost of power with the install.
My man that HOT air intake definitely lost you some power
Not really, the car still feels powerful enough. I kept the air intake guide that brings air from the front to where the intake filter seats. I don't feel like there's any heat soak during winter and cooler months, might be a different story during summer.
