I was there the night before while he was setting up and doing sound checks. His friend Michel Geiss invited me and my family past the barricades to meet him. I told him I was from Texas and he said "oh, J.R. Bang Bang!" - after the TV show Dallas. I got his autograph, shook hands and talked for a bit. Unfortunately, I could not attend his concert the next day as our tour was leaving for England. I was heartbroken. Sooo, fast forward 30 years and he was doing the Oxygene 30th Anniversary Tour and kicking off in Glasgow. Well, I HAD to go. And wouldn't you know, I got to meet him again and he remembered me. I found out that he used the picture from 1979 in the booklet for his Aero album. It was a thrill and he became the influence for the electronic music I create today (Hydrokarbon). I would love to collaborate with him on a few ideas I have. It would be a dream come true.

This is 2020, so many things have changed, no flying cars yet but his music still sounds futuristic....

The guy who made the Norwgian Jarre Fanclub in Norway in the 90's his name is Glenn and when I come in contact with him on Facebook in the 20's I asked him if he had some JMJ concert I didn't had for example JMJ Hong Kong and Place De La Concorde and he said yes. I asked him what he wanted as return for the DVD discs I got from him and that was music magazines.

Какой чистый бархатный аналоговый звук!!! Как будто современная бас-линия видна...Звук очень похож на звучание современных синтезов. А это, всего лишь 1978 год (когда этот трек и появился)!!!

C'est du playback ! Les synthés ne sont pas branchés et la plupart ne lui appartiennent pas mais sont prêtés par l'importateur de chez Korg .
Les génies de la music est le groupe " Kraftwerk " c'est eux qui ont inventé la musique électronique 😊

Me encanta la música de Jarre, pero sus presentaciones en vivo siempre han sido playback, salvo algunos agregados que se tocan sobre la pista original.
En París la defense tocó el Arpa Láser en vivo pero le falló y sonó como las weas y en el VHS se oía perfecta, el destination docklands fue casi un 90%playback. Aún así me quedo con ésos conciertos porque ahora es solo un dj no más.
Que es un genio, no cabe la menor duda y escucho su música a diario. Así como a tangerine dream, vangelis, Kraftwerk, y últimamente he descubierto a un polaco llamado Madis que le sigue los pasos a jarre. Saludos desde Chile.

This is not playback... It's real footage of him playing live, but for reasons I can't understand, someone edited the studio album track into it instead of the real live sound.
Playback , most of synths are not powered .

@@KalmanBorbely he goes to great effort to hit that snare drum sampler (or whatever it is) with his left hand as if trying to show that he's definitely playing it live, then for some reason when he needs to play something else with his left hand, the snare hit carries on playing. That was the main thing for me that makes me think it's playback.
As much as I am a big fan...... this is just pure playback. what he is playing doesn't match what you are hearing. It's not that it sounds like the record....it is the record...... Just think about it......for the most recent performances he used another 3 keyboard players (that was TRUE live playing), and for the most part he does the VCS3 noises and plays some of the melodies.
