What's your intake of having the Elves Vanyar Pro versus the Falath Evo? Currently have the Falath Evo now and been considering on switching over to the Vanyar for my type of rides. I feel as if 30+ miles on the Falath, my ass starts to feel it and feel like I'm cracking. Yes, I did get a bike fit from a reputable guy locally.
My friend has that exact same set up minus the integrated bar and stem, and he rides for the Philippine natuonal team, so I think rather than compare this bike to a bmw m3 in terms of performance, it should probably be compared to a F1 car. 😂 I have another friend whom I did the bike fit for (Almost exact same set up too, but on Ultegra R8020 and Magene Exar wheels), he used the almost exact same frame as that but with a 380/110 combo and I can say the 380 of the orome bar feels really similar to my 36cm handlebar on my S-Works SL6.
@@giatheman9642 Just by looks, prefer the Falath Pro, personal taste. To be honest, when I buy (needed to buy a new car, so that idea postponed a couple of months), I will focus on geometry more than looks. I am 42, not mid 20, so whatever is relaxed enough and still let me smile when I look at it.
£900 for 105 Di2 is a steal. It’s £780 (vat inc.) from the UK distributor so they are only making 15% on it to cover their costs. Definitely considering it myself among some cheaper Chinese carbon frames from well regarded manufacturers.
hello @JourdainColeman, nice review but several questions from a frenchy. Between yoeleo R11 DB and elves vanyar, which one do you prefer? obviously i believe the construction is almost the same, i mean lots of carbon, safety first. we saw that when you cut the yoleo. The seat tube looks pretty high and full of carbon , so it make sense there is no room for confort. same think for the fork . could you please give me your thoughts. I wonder if going for an orbea orca m30 is not a better idea in terms of confort at the same price
Hi! Very nice review! Can you please tell us if it is really hard to ride more than 3hours so stiff bike? Did you notice this? Whats the longest you have done it?
Love the wheelset, looks superb 👌. I also love how at 7.50 the chainset is disgusting, then a quick spin and it's spotless at 7.57......amazing! Maybe you could look at wax products and see if it keeps it looking "fresh" than standard lubes??
@@JourdainColeman My friends do the hot wax drip treatment, take the chain off, hang it up etc. No idea if that's beneficial as it seems such a faff! I just use wax from a bottle that appears better than normal lube. However you're just the man to dive deep into the subject and discover the results if it's solely a cosmetic improvement than performance or wear.
Hi there, no its not as the Evo is an aero bike and this is designed as a hill-climber. The geometry is on our website, but we are also happy to offer guidance if you email us.
You might get a lot for the money when you buy but equally you will get considerably very little when you try and sell it. That''s the reality of the used bike market for direct china bike brands which never gets discussed.
Jourdain I think I've seen you out and about on Westmount Road / Shooters Hill and also around Cudham / Biggin Hill in recent times. Didn't want to shout your name out in case you thought I was some kind of nutter.
Thanks for sharing J. Amazing video as always.
Your computer shaking around while your riding gives me anxiety 🫶

Got my attention! Let's go!
What about a bit of double sided tape under that flappy bit? Should keep it in check, is invisible and reversible.
Good idea! That should work pretty well 👍🏼
or 3D printing a non flappy cover
Seriously considering Elves for a build...
@@schrodingerthecat Is a beauty that frame, isn’t it? I would rather pick the Falath Pro, still, they are both very unique.
@@DrDiemotmaIf the area you living don’t have hill and lot of wind you don’t need vanyar

Elves frames are great, and their UK team are wonderful. Just do it

pretty sure I saw this exact bike in Velo Barn cafe down in Kent today haha, didn't see you with it though, have you sold it?
That was me… 50 miles in Kent this morning 👍🏼
@@JourdainColeman Ahahah crazy
haha nice, it caught my eye as a fellow Elves owner, you don't see them often!
I have the Falagh pro and the Evo, both great frames. Need to straighten the stem cap logo😂

hahaha... the camera magic! 👀 She needs a good scrub! I've head good things about waxing... Could be a good decision. Is that what you use?

Tilt these hoods inward mate!! 38cm ok fine but these hoods gotta go in!! Even more comfortable & more aero
0:38 "mildly aggressive geometry"
Looking at that gap between seat and handlebar, I'm afraid to ask what you would consider "very aggressive"
😂😂😂
Damn...that computer mount is like 1 mile long....that will give at some time.
Nice bike.
How does this compare to your Falath evo in terms of ride quality?
Its very flat where I live would I be better off with a falath evo? or will I not notice the aero gains as much as people say.
7.9kg with pedals and garmin attached?
Is the geometry the same as the Falath Evo?

Please straighten up the top cap so the logo is straight!
Now you have mentioned it I'll have to do it!!
That is a full on race bike.

Vintage road bike, rim brakes & down tube Shifters for the win 🤙🤙
Nope.
