      @waifuracer6516 5 лет назад +1

      The DSG auto is good, because its dual clutch and it has flappy paddles on the steering wheel, however the older torque converter auto is a pile of shit. But yeah, I would prefer manual as well, however I dont hate auto gearboxes that are actually good, and lets be real, DSG kicks ass when its reprogrammed. It is a good gearbox, and its just as fun as manual.

    Dude you're killin' it! So it's a stock S4 huh? Just the upgraded breaks?
    I have a B5 2.8 quattro now and in a few months I'm either gonna get a S4 B6 or a 93 RX-7. I've always loved rotory's but I think I love quattro more lol. The cars cost about the same but I'd only get the RX -7 and put the 3 rotor engine in. Decisions decisions :(

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  10 лет назад

      Thanks mate! Jup, just a stock S4 with Rs4 brakes. That makes a good difference though! After a few laps still no fading.
      Just depends on what you want, rotory engines are nice as well! Good luck!

    • @gfactor559
      @gfactor559 10 лет назад +1

      I wound up getting an 07 S4. I love this car! Massive difference from my 180hp B5 to 340hp B7 hahaha! I've had the car since the end if February or so. The build quality on this car is top notch. It's 7 years old and about 68,000 miles and it's just as tight as if it was new. I really need to get new tires for it though. I'll either get the P0's or the Michelin equivalent (I forget what they are called). My buddy just got the Michelin's on his M3 and they are bad ass....I'll probably get those towards the end of the year.

    • @gfactor559
      @gfactor559 10 лет назад

      What kinda tires do u have? Any upgrades on your car yet besides the breaks? oh and how much did u spend on them? There's a auto dismantling yard that strictly deals with German cars 4 hours from me...they have a set of RS4 front breaks. they want $2,500 for them!! that seems overpriced to me, what do u think? I've also seen people use the front breaks off the Porsche SUV. seems like they bolt right on but I'm not positive

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  10 лет назад +1

      Yo man, it's definitely a nice car! I sold the S4 though, it's made its way for an Rs5. Also killer car! Love it. The Rs4 brakes are bolt on, Porsche SUV are not. I've looked into this and it's better to spend a bit more money on the Rs4 brakes. I paid about 2000$ for them including suspension. Well spent money though for performance and looks! The Pirelli P0's I like the most, definitely well spent money. Good luck and enjoy your S4!

    • @gfactor559
      @gfactor559 10 лет назад

      I was just sitting in a new RS5 at the dealership on Friday. Bad ass car for sure! I will say this much though....the recarro seats in the S4's are way better! so u paid 2k for breaks and suspension....that's a good deal. The place here wants 2500 JUST for the front breaks! seems like a rip off to me

    nice driving!! i have same model,understeers a bitch,i did a round-about test,it just wants to go nose first off the road. my question is how much would esp slow you down compared to having the stability at high speed ??? do you rate esp??

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  9 лет назад

      Thanks! I always drive without driving aids, they definitely slow you down and make the car less predictable! The car is much easier to ride without esp because you can feel more what it's going to do when sliding around..

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  9 лет назад

      michael mcmike
      Hi Michael,
      I'm not sure if it will make the car any better and if it's worth it.. it fully depends on what you expect and need from the car. Personally I wouldn't really bother because it will only boost the engine by like 10bhp which is not enough for my likes anyway. But if you are going to do it, let me know what you think!

    • @MycketTuff
      @MycketTuff 6 лет назад

      @@jaronyuriyh7931 Taking corners too hot will always cause oversteer. Trying to balance that shit out with AWD while you give it full throttle and have thrown weight around is what it is.. no matter the car. Torsen seem to love having a lightweight engine up front to compensate, like the good old tiny inline 5 that helps with the weight distribution.
      For the ring I'd much rather go with a Porsche. Even if I love Audi, they're better at dragracing and casual fun on a sunny day. Porsche is for racing.

    • @jaronyuriyh7931
      @jaronyuriyh7931 6 лет назад +1

      V I’d say otherwise? Too fast around corners would almost always cause understeer. Although audi isn’t as fun as porsche for sure, esp stock a/s models. But Audi has its own fun as well, you get to manipulate when and how to oversteer and understeer. Turn of esp for sure, it would make your car unpredictable when you trynna do this

    • @mbekker5368
      @mbekker5368  4 года назад +1

      Just don't push the front too much, you have to adapt your driving to suit the strong points of the car. Stick some good sticky tires underneath her like Pirelli P-zero's so the front is ok to handle. It's what I had at the time. But only good for 8000km's 😆
