Shawn & Mel, I worked for a large plaintiffs law firm in Charleston, SC right and a half years. One of our senior partners was celebrating his 25th year with the firm and hosted a private party. He hired KC & the Sunshine Band To play at this private party. The theme was the 70s, of course and everyone dressed up accordingly. It was cool that it was a private party because we were like right up there at the stage. You guys most definitely would’ve enjoyed that! Luv y’all
Omggggg that is so awesome LadyGator. That’s a once and a life time event. So happy you were able to see them live. We love you too and hope you’re having an amazing day ❤️❤️
I have always been a rock fan but back in the 70s when KC & the Sunshine Band came along I began to really enjoy and love their music. Always puts you in a happy mood, even today< So so glad you both are really enjoying some of that 70s music.
I got to see them perform in the late 70's and they did not disappoint. Full of energy the entire show! I was one of the lucky ones to witness this great band! Welcome aboard the 70's train! SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE RIDE!
Back in the mid 70's you basically had 2 camps of music fans. Those who followed Rock, Southern Rock and Classic Rock and those who followed Disco, R&B and Funk. I was definitely in the former camp. But watching the 2 of you react to now five K C & The Sunshine Band songs, I have developed a far greater appreciation for their music. I want to thank you both for opening my eyes and reminding me how much fun we did have in the 70's. Cos we DID!! Cheers, RNB
WELL said! I was definitely in the Disco/Funk/Rap/R&B/Soul camp, back in the day - however, I've also always loved (and still do...) listening to Country/Folk/Jazz/New Age/Rock and Classical music, as well. To me, all kinds of music is what oxygen is to others - an absolute necessity.

You guys are listening to ALL the great music from the late 60s and early 70s I had the privilege to get to see these groups perform in concert. Try some rock and roll music like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Journey, Guns and Roses from the 70s and 80s. If you want some greats try Chuck Berry, BB King, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes from the 50s that era was AMAZING. Then you got the BEE GEES from the Disco Era. Anyone of their songs is remarkable. Go for it ‼️‼️‼️
I was in H.S. during the KC heyday and it seemed like he was on the radio 24/7. I remember the HS cheerleaders with banners up for the football team with "That's the way we like it .. huh, huh, I like it" written colorfully. I'm 62 now and this music takes me back to 16 years old for a minute.
I love how you guys continue to go deeper into a group you like. So many other reactors will do 1 or 2 songs from a amazing band/artist and then stop when there are so many more great songs from them. Thank you
