- My thought/ review on the RCX 3" slash cut exhaust slip ons. Ive put 2000 miles on these and here is my thoughts.
Does these slip ons really help make the scout sound that much better?

Sweet pipes! We're gonna have to get you inducted in the Indian Motorcycle Nation soon! 👍
Dazzle Яebel Rides that would be amazing! I love the channels you have on there and to be part of the group would be an honor!!
Adventures of the bearded Bobber cool. Just get a 60 second clip sorted for me and we'll make it so 👍
Thank you will do!!
Ended up getting these because of your video, they sound great in person!
Right on!! Ya I was a huge fan of these!
Love the pipes man. Great sound that match the look of the amazing Bobber. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the compliment and for watching!!
Ya first thing I had to do to the bike. So happy having her opened up.
This has to be one of the best sounding slip on I have ever heard! Serious.
These and the Vance and Hines sound fantastic for slip ons!
Sounds awesome! My Roland Sands should be here next week! Can't wait to do the install vid!
Okie Addiction right on man! Looking forward to seeing that.
Love the sound of the exhaust. I put Bassani on mine, bike really sounds bad ass without the stock pipes
Sean Miller thank you. ya just some
Normal slip ons really open this bike up.
Sounds good- I put a set of RCX’s on my rogue 60, I set off car alarms sometimes now, but at cruising speed it has a satisfying low rumble- I’m having Indian put their performance intake and tune next week at my 500 mile checkup- thanks for the video, also I ordered mine from West End Motorsports for about $300, took a week to ship to Cali- can’t beat the price
Right on. Ya definitely can’t beat that!
RCX slipons made my Scout sound like the way it should have sounded from the start...much improved!
Agree 100% I put these on as soon as I hit 500 mile service lol
She sounds AWESOME!!!! Great looking bike as well.
Filthy Frenchfry thanks ya she is mean. I need to get some ear plugs before I take a long trip with her. It’s not bad for me in my helmet but for 4 hours I’ll just take it safe lol.
That bobber is lookin good, bud! #support came here from jiggymoto! Subbed!
Right on man thank you! Ya love this movement bringing everyone together!
Hi From NZ. Well made video, ive been looking at various exhaust options for scout bobber iv e yet to buy, [ stock are out of the question!] a cheap and very light option is Radiant shorty GP, only just over $100! and sound really great, deep note. [perhaps a little too noisy for some] the other is the "Dirtybird 2-1" which look fantastic and like the way they tuck up over engine and no possibilty of ever scraping on hard cornering. but a lot more $$. The Vance & Hines also look great, and i like they have the option of removable baffles in case you want to quiet down,[like on a long trip to avoid the headaches] there are so many mods id like to make to a stock bobber to get it 'Right' for me.
dan 11 ya I had been looking at exhaust the whole time before I bought mine. I found meatballs video and just fell in love with these. I liked the trask slip ons also. I do like the dirty bird it looks mean and I’ve heard much louder than mine.
My seat is on its way. That was my other thing I wanted to change. Finally I’ll be doing that. I’ll make a video for that install as well. Hella stoked garage has been making some good install videos. He changed the handle bars, seat and headlight so far. He is doing his exhaust soon. A good channel to check out for installs. Jay fast also does cool install stuff. He has the Vance n hines grenades on his bike.
Man the bike sounds great to me. Greetings from South Australia.
MR TPR thank you so much. Gotta
Love this stuff bringing people together from all over the world.
Sounds excellent bro
Thanks man. I’m very happy with them. These and the Vance and Hines slash cut slip ons were the look I liked the best
Just caught you half dead riders challenge mate, nice channel & content! subbed 👌🏻
Awesome thanks man! This movement has been awesome for finding good creators.
Great review! Do you wear any kind of earplugs with this exhaust?
I don’t but I know others do and they said they definitely needed them. I normally wear a full face so I don’t notice it as much but it doesn’t bother me either way.
Thank you!
cool my front break got recall just got back from the dealership to fix it,,my front brake level goes all the way to grip before engage after 1,000 miles...so check your rear brake and front brake lever if it goes all the way...
love the exhaust mine i switch Vance Hines 3"
Herbert DaSilva ya I went to the dealer even though mine were fine and had them to the recall brake bleed. I’m at 2900 miles and they’re still golden. Thank you! It’s stuff like that which makes me happy Indian is making sure to take care of the second they hear about.
Great video, man. I hope I'm not offending when I ask what you weigh and if you've made suspension mods. I'm about to buy a Scout and I'm 6'1" and 380. Want to see if you are in that ballpark and what your thoughts are. The exhaust sounds great and it's up at the top of my list thanks to this vid.
Thank you! I’m 5’7” 320 and I did add the fox/indian shocks after 15k sounds miles and it was a game changer from stock. I’m about to do legendary front fork cartridge as well but now I’m at 20k miles.
Sounds great just a question did you upgrade the air filter too in order to get more horse power if you did which one would you recommend
When I did this video I had not gotten one yet. But now I do have the s&s intake and a tune from fuel moto. The bike definitely opened up!! I like it a lot
@@TheBeardedBobber thx I bet it opened up 🤣🤣👍👍
Your bike looks & sounds great brother! Stay safe.......Ride hard or stay home😎
Jim Germata thank you so much man!!!
sounds nice!
Thank you!
Subbed ya, great video. 👍 bike sounds great.
JIGGYMOTO thank you! I’m gonna check you stuff out right now!!
Im going to buy an Indian Bobber this year myself. Im a rather large gent at 375lb and would like to ask your opinion about the stock suspension front and rear. Did u upgrade? I am concerned with ridability issues concerning bottoming out the bike due to its already low and aggressive stance. Was it necessary or are you happy with stock configurations?
John Delgado I’m happy with it. Speed bumps I watch out for but that’s it as for bottoming out. I weigh 335 right now and I daily drive it with the stock suspension. They do have an upgrade at the shocks from Indian for extra money of course but I would ride it first for a bit and see how you feel. I’m gonna go on a long trip soon and the only thing I would like to change it the seat. It’s a little hard for long trips.
The seat right away and the exhaust after break in for me. Im interested in K-tech's springless bullit shocks or maybe the 444's. Let me know how you feel about the long road trip and thx.
John Delgado will do. Ya my video this weekend is about the bobber as a daily driver. I’ve put 4000 miles on the bike now on stock suspension and seat.
I’ll let you know and hopefully I’ll be making a video for it too.
Just subscribed ! Looking forward to seeing what you will do next! Might give me ideas 💡
Ricky Deleon right on man! Thank you! Hopefully I can help. I’m always looking for ideas too hahaha
Adventures of the bearded Bobber yeah man I'm running everything stock as of now but looking forward to either investing in an intake or pipes idk .. this is My First bike apart from my grom 😂
Ricky Deleon the slips are nice cause you don’t have to do a fuel map but intake you do. Intake will be next for me hopefully soon.
Cheers 🍻 mate from Down Under..very nice Indian brother 🤙 & yes the pipes do it Wonder's 🇦🇺✌️
Smitty Independent, Freedom thanks man! Ya I couldn’t wait to get these on her.
I'm stuck between these and the Basannis. I'm leaning towards these. $250 cheaper, and made in my state.
Nice! It's meatball rebels fault that I bought the rc components also..lol..His bobber sounded amazing on his videos. These pipes make it sound mean in person!
Ya, I saw that video and I was like oh hell ya!!! I love the look and now I try not to start it in the middle of the night because I actually like my roommates lol. Ya next I need the new air intake and fuel map
Adventures of the bearded Bobber I'm going with the Indian intake and flash next month myself.nothing to crazy.
ya Ive been debating on which way to go. Ive heard a lot of good about the trask so I'm gonna do a little more research and figure it all out lol
Sure I will take the blame again, haha! I have a S&S air cleaner and Power Vision CX from Fuel Moto you guys need also.
Meatball Rebel that’s next lol
I have the same bike.. Any issues with finding nutrel or it sticking?
Cosmo Wolverine 68 i did when I first got the bike but that stopped. Every once in awhile it’ll wanna stay in neutral when I park it.
#support. damn i need to do a better job with thumbnails. You set the bar with that. What do you use to record audio?
Mad Hatterz lol thank you! I use the squid mic connected to my GoPro hero6. I’m debating about getting a separate audio recorded but not sure yet.
Sounds good
Stan Williams thank you!
any remapping required with the slip ons?
With just slip ons no. I did have some popping but it’s not required. Once I did my intake I tuned it
I need the site whdre you bought them cant find them on amazon
www.shoprccomponents.com/rcx-slip-on-mufflers/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwh_eFBhDZARIsALHjIKcCBs0Ig_8FWc8zZgZsOoAOGRwX2fN-oOUCIG7HV5QBNWWYQbjHe8MaApKvEALw_wcB
I got them right from the source.
Sounds great bro. I see what you mean about the different color black, that's too bad. Would look a lot better if you could paint match.
Kazutopia 808 it’s not too bad in person. I don’t even notice really. I may have it powder coated later on to match but it can wait. I love the sound so it works haha.
Sounds great. Are you on the forum?
Im on one but Im not really great with forums. Im on the Bobber owner page for facebook.
are there any baffles at all in those slip ons?
XboobtubeX not really. There is a very small side wall on the inside but not much.
Are they too loud on your ears while on the highway? I also leave early for work something but need something besides the stock exhaust. V&H were too much for me. Thanks!
These would be similar to the Vance and Hines of the Vance and Hines don’t have the quiet baffles in them.
On the highway I liked them but that’s just me.
Are these super loud like V&H?
Yes they are. A lot like the v&h without baffles
Yeah man.. I just got my scout 60 last month. At 450 miles and have my RCX excalibur ceramic black slip ons ordered.
Jonathan Novak awesome!!! These bikes sound so good opened up.
I was originally going to get crushed Mavericks but a guy rolled by me before I got my bike with the RCX slips on and DAYUM!! I was impressed.
Keep up the vids bruh👍
Jonathan Novak that’s awesome. Talk about timing!!
Thank you man!!
If I did a new air intake, and exhaust all together, would I have to get it dyno’d? Any help is welcome, I’m looking into getting one in the next couple months.
Yea you would wanna get it tuned for both. Just slip ons and you don’t but especially the intake bringing in a lot more air you’ll need the tune
@@TheBeardedBobber and what about just exhaust? One step at a time haha. Thank you for your help.
Just slip ons no tune but a full exhaust you want a tune.
@@TheBeardedBobber thanks man. I appreciate it.
You’re very welcome!! It’s a blast of a bike
I switch my exhaust around 1200 miles..Vance and Hines 3” with silencer baffle on and still loud but got good rumble 😅
Still scared to start it early 4am wen I go to work don’t what my neighbors wake up😅
Herbert DaSilva exactly!! Some nights I just want to go for a midnight right so I’m going to have to take my ladies Vulcan haha
How long does it take to switch out the baffles on the V&H, Herbert?
Can you share the link where those exhausts can be purchased?
www.shoprccomponents.com/rcx-slip-on-mufflers/rcx-3-0-slip-on-mufflers-hd-indian-victory/rcx-3-0-slip-on-mufflers-indian-scout/
Where did you buy this from love that sound not too loud but perfect
www.shoprccomponents.com/rcx-3-0-muffler-slash-cut-indian-scout/ in person they pretty loud but I love it
@@TheBeardedBobber it only show 2017 I am looking for 2018
Amrish Kumar they still fit. That’s the way I ordered it
@@TheBeardedBobber is it louder than V&H ?
Amrish Kumar I wouldn’t think too much louder if so. I haven’t heard them in person though.
Same pipes Mr. Bearded. LOVE them. Also Meatball's fault. Welcome to IMN! My only complaint, and its minor, the paint does not match, and they are slightly off center from the pipes. That's just my OCD kicking in!
Joe Davis agree I’ve come to live with it lol the sound makes all the world of difference
But do they sound good....... 🤣
Meatball Rebel I can’t get enough of the way they sound. My neighbors might have a different opinion but that’s too bad. The guy that works next to my shop definitely hates when I show my friends how good it sounds.
Meatball Rebel sweet, sweet, music to my ears.....plus a slight ringing after about 20 min.....Honest honey, if I heard you, you know I would of answered.😆
🤣🤣🤣
Best California legal exhaust anyone? I could just buy whatever i want on eBay, but Whats a good CA legal option?
So unfortunately I don’t know any fully legal systems. I know even indians 2-1 exhaust has gotten tickets in Huntington Beach. Some cops can be real mean. I’ve seen super loud exhaust not even get a ticket while pulled over. Weird times lol
@@TheBeardedBobber very true. Im thinking of just doing a baffle delete on the stock, but that would leave me with no fall back if pulled over, needing to purchase another set of stock exhaust lol. Might as well get some slipon’s but don’t want to be to obvious, and piss my neighbors off as well🤣
@@alex95187 Did you ever find find any? Have you looked into any European made slip-ons? They seem to have strict sound regulations over there.
how tall are you bro?
I am 5’7”
@@TheBeardedBobber im 5'9" 230-240 lbs with an xl sized head. Do you think i would look too big on a scout bobber? I had a rebel 500 but i felt too cramped on it, then right now i have a honda cb650r but i want to go back to a cruiser but this time i want belt driven one. Thanks for the reply man!
@@iRlazyGoat I don’t think you would be. I like mine more now with mini apes but they have the new chief coming out as well and that thing should be great. I would definitely go sit on them and get a demo ride if possible
Like video theirs a exhust system called dirty bird check it out I think it's much liter it's 2 into 1
frogman jack ya I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that one. I just like the two pipe more.
I like the 2-1 pipes on the hard bags bikes.
My scout came with these.. they are super loud. Everyone hates me!
Haha these were my first mod. I was super excited for these. I’m sure my neighbors hate me too. My roommates did when I would leave for a ride at 5-6am
Bike looks good I like the little seat for the girlfriend one get one with backrest
frogman jack ya my daughter rides on the back every once in awhile. My next bike will have a backrest but it’ll be a touring bike.
I don’t have neighbors live in the country but my cats might not like a louder exhaust
That’s definitely something to think about.
Bad ass mustang
Carlos Reado thank you. You’re the first person To say anything lol
@@TheBeardedBobber : I use to own a 08gt manual vista blue
Carlos Reado mine is a 67 coupe and we put a 302 in it.
Nice, enjoy all of it!!
