IN MY HEAD, a Mini PC should be cheaper than building a custom system. I actually priced out a system, intel 12100f, mini-itx motherboard; either rx6600, rx7600, or intel arc 750; and case, fans, etc. and with the barebones parts I picked it came to about $650. Generally, the smaller the component, the more expensive it is. A mini PC from Dell being 500 USD or cheaper with a Phoenix APU might make sense, but they just...don't. Some consumers might prioritize the much smaller footprint of a mini PC such as this for integration in to a media console or a small back-office PC in a cramped small business space. @@TeamCGS2005That's not the CPU's fault, as Ryzen 7040 series officially supports DDR5-5600 memory. That's because laptops seldom (if ever) support XMP/EXPO overclocking profiles, so to get memory to work at 5600MHz on this CPU, it needs to have this frequency implemented as a JEDEC (built-in) standard. You can check the SPD data on CPU-Z. I had the same issue with my laptop with an 11th gen CPU (i5-1135G7). It supported up to DDR4-3200, but the memory it came with only worked at 3200MHz via XMP, and as the laptop doesn't support it, the memory was working at 2666MHz. I bought a new kit that advertised as working natively at 3200MHz, which it really did.
Hi. Can you make a comparison with the Minisforum NUCXI7 RTX 3070 and the Minisforum HX99G RX6600M? Which of these three mini PCs will be the most powerful for gaming and for work?
Well comparing it to the 2 laptops I have and the nuc 8, it's very quiet. But the other devices I have are either older or in the case of my i9 3070ti laptop. Super powerful and very loud to cool. This thing has a lot of room to breath.
I bought it a month ago. I'm sending back for a full refund. This was great and all, but the driver for the GPU is flawed and the machine can reboot anytime randomly (that is the issue I have).. Not ideal for a work machine. They release a new driver lastweek (so I basically got a useless plastic box until then..). And even now, my machine does randomly reboot from time to time. Unusable as it is. I asked if the issue is known. They were nice enough to be honest and tell me that they know about the flaw and they wait for a clean driver. No date. It's such a shame, this machine is awesome.
Hmm, I just tried the Horizon benchmark. Though for some reason my version is slightly older, 176. Anyway with my i7-5960X and GTX1660 Super, at same preset and resolution I get score of 16791 and average fps of 93. Higher than this system, but still the difference feels low. I wonder if the problem is my CPU because my guess is the GTX1660Super should be far more powerful than the 780M....right?
Still got that proprietary power connector. Fail. And for no reason, if the cord is pulled, it doesn't disconnect, it still pulls the case off the desk.
Is there some range of DC voltage for power input? Provided AC/DC creates 19V, but PC uses DC/DC internally. Is it only 19V (let's say plus/minus 0.2V) or is there range? I want to use automotive 24V battery to power it without additional external DC/DC board. Is it possible?
Someone needs to grow a pair and create a 4x4 with a full pcie x16 slot. I’ve been thinking about how nice building a console style system would be with a board that small.
I dont understand why so many different display output options? For a PC like this two is more than enough. That unique power port pretty much kills it though. You are right.
I can't take Beelink seriously as long as they have that ridiculous clear CMOS button on the front panel. Also one thing reviewers never really cover (because they get Windows preinstalled?) is that finding drivers for these things is very difficult.
I will say 1080p beats 720p hands down. But it's maxed out doing it. As other viewers have said. Why don't they just go with dedicated mobile GPUs like laptops? IGPUs are just not there yet.

Just one of many voices, but I personally love the idea of mini-pc's... however, I don't trust the Chinese companies when it comes to support. These may be cheaper than a Dell or Lenovo, but that is because large companies offer warranties and charge more to cover those costs. In 2020 I did purchase one during a Indiegogo campaign (Chuwi Larkbox), and despite all kinds of positive press, it turned out to be a lemon (at least mine was)... I believe it was simply heat issues in such a small package, but I was stuck with the cost for a "Worlds smallest Windows 10 Pro PC"... that wouldn't run for 5 minutes before shutting down/crashing. No 1-800 number to call, no response to emails, and no sympathy from others who just say "you get what you pay for"... I hope that these newer Mini-PCs will be more reliable, especially as they seem to be getting very popular. I think the reviewers should test support processes as part of their reviews.
Depends on your use case, for gaming it will obviously be less viable a year from now since modern games are becoming more demanding. But for everything else I'd think you'd be pretty fine, the most popular online games today are older games like CSGO, Fortnite, Apex, Siege, LoL etc and those are pretty easy to run.
Both released at the same time, the Pro model was released without the new bottom plate I don't know what you were told but I have the 7940HS without the new plate. Strange how my pro model is different than the non pro model yet your unit looks the same as non pro. I have a nice orange pro label on the front. Are you sure its 6E because the Pro I have has 6 not E. You said 6 but wrote 6E. I upgraded the drivers and got a big boost on Ratchet & Clank. Why didn't you do a side by side of the 7940HS to 7840HS of gameplay? Please start creating spreadsheets with a ranking table for the 780M. Ratchet & Clank 1080p FSR 2.1 High default with very high weather and traffic 40fps locked without any scaling and peaks up to 60fps but I locked it down to 40fps. Don't run it on low that doesn't show the beast that this is.
Thanks for another timely review... do you think adding another identical NVMe drive and running them in RAID0 will make a noticeable improvement in framerates/benchmarks? Will the BIOS in this Beelink support RAID, and could this be done easily without any third party software?

Emulation test, please! Specially on the high end emulators such as RPCS3.
If they used barrel-plug for power supply, will you try one with higher wattage and try to give it more power to the device and overclock it?
The barrel jack, how about making a barrel to standard conversion so cheaper long time if problems arise.
Loved the contents. Wish you could add temperature in the Afterburner.
Pro tip: Buy two chargers then in case one goes wrong. xD. Can't it be delivered power throught the USB 4 port?
Hello, thanks for the video, would be great to always measure the rendering capability, since I would use it for video editing. Thanks.
Any reason you never mention price? Or do I miss it each time?
Power connection is not really proprietary. Search for 1pin pogo magnetic connector. Need to know diameter & amps.
Does it have Thunderbolt 4? I was thinking of buying this and using an external GPU.
I got the GTR7 Pro, stays very cool for a small pc. Got it to replace my Nuc 8 Hades Canyon. So far I really like it.
How is the fingerprint scanner working? Very unique for a mini-PC.
Oh I don't use it. Lol just log in with a regular password like the rest of my PCs.
how loud is it?? the Beelink SER5 was awful
Well comparing it to the 2 laptops I have and the nuc 8, it's very quiet. But the other devices I have are either older or in the case of my i9 3070ti laptop. Super powerful and very loud to cool. This thing has a lot of room to breath.
what mini pc do you recommend to play cyberpunk on high settings 4k?
You can enable Ray Tracing on Forza, it only works on photo mode.
How does this perform in games versus the Mac Mini M2 ?
Why are you removing all negative comments?
Thank you for sharing, hopefully by next year, we can see a mini pc using a desktop processor.
Would like to know how this handles ps2, ps3 and switch emulation. Looking to make an emulation console with bigbox
That proprietary plug is a instant no go
Hi man,Nice wallpaper, where download, give me link please? and this would light up next to the monitor, where did you buy it? have on Aliexpress?
Is the main benefit of these, besides the form factor, over spending the same or bit more on building your own pc, the low power draw?
yeah they should have a version with a bigger fan and heatsink with 120W psu
Nice, but please do Passmark and Cinebench benchmarks too.
How does the Beelink GTR7 Pro compare with the Minisforum UM790 Pro as both mini PCs are fitted with the same AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS Processor?
"This $1000 mini PC emulates everything!!!"
😂
Is there some range of DC voltage for power input? Provided AC/DC creates 19V, but PC uses DC/DC internally. Is it only 19V (let's say plus/minus 0.2V) or is there range? I want to use automotive 24V battery to power it without additional external DC/DC board. Is it possible?
Hard to find the product. It's showing out of stock for phoenix point apu
Fantastic presentation of the product!!
Someone needs to grow a pair and create a 4x4 with a full pcie x16 slot. I’ve been thinking about how nice building a console style system would be with a board that small.
Thanks for the interesting views, what do u think the best egpu to pair with it?
I dont understand why so many different display output options? For a PC like this two is more than enough. That unique power port pretty much kills it though. You are right.
eGPU support? I'm looking to downsize from a full size atx desktop and don't want my rtx3070ti to go to waste, it's 1yr old lol
Hey, great reviews and content everytime I watch any of your videos, I was curios how does it run run Diablo 4?
Hi, you say the monitor is a pixio? It says redmagic on it though? Does redmagic make a gaming monitor?
Great video!!!
Can GTR7 Pro handle blender software?
The Fingerprint-Sensor killed me :'D Thought the power plug was already the funniest thing
It has 2 nvme, so will you add a gpu to show us hot it performs?
I can't take Beelink seriously as long as they have that ridiculous clear CMOS button on the front panel. Also one thing reviewers never really cover (because they get Windows preinstalled?) is that finding drivers for these things is very difficult.
Great device, hoping the same coming with 7600M GPU onboarded or else occulink to plug the GPD external
Is it good for Adobe apps and other editing tools like cinema4d etc
I will say 1080p beats 720p hands down. But it's maxed out doing it. As other viewers have said. Why don't they just go with dedicated mobile GPUs like laptops? IGPUs are just not there yet.
I like Beelink includes a screw for that 2nd m.2 slot. Is the 2nd m.2 slot nvme only or does it support SATA too?? Just curious.
Does anyone know how long a pc like this would last as an everyday pc? I'm curious and don't want to spend the money before I know. Thank you if you answer this. :›
What's the use case for such a build, considering ITX discrete gpu builds at similar price?
Don't run it on low that doesn't show the beast that this is.
barrel plug is perfectly good. Let's re-invent it! YEAH!!!
That orange GTR7PRO looks amazing mini pc. 😮
Thanks for another timely review... do you think adding another identical NVMe drive and running them in RAID0 will make a noticeable improvement in framerates/benchmarks? Will the BIOS in this Beelink support RAID, and could this be done easily without any third party software?
I like your reviews, can you try to review more mini pc’s in $200-250, so more people can afford to buy them. $400-500 is price of good laptop for students that want to play too.
IM struggling to find a place to buy this, website has out of stock for a while
Perfect candidate for a large passive heatsink silent mod.
could you try encoding using Handbrake VCN 1080p & 4K?
Product warranty?
Tomb Raider shadow 1080 hight and ultra, fps???
I would like to see if it supports a 100w type c charger.
It does but apparently unstable unless you set the TDP for 35W
How easy is it to pop that magnetic power connector out of the bottom plate? Could someone run a barrel connector out through that hole?
Please! Run some 3D softwares on it. Like zbrush and subtance painter. I really curious. Planning to buy this and replace my laptop
I did a test with the similar minisforum Um790 pro and get great performance in 3dsmax 2024... really amazing powerfull APU
Would love to know how these PCs handle Ubuntu with Steam.
Strong GB6 score, I know it's a 4 core but the desktop 5300G APU on Single Stage Phase Change Cooling 5.0Ghz with single rank D4 B-die at 5000c15 score 2200 single and 8200 multi
@ETAPRIME
REALLY WAITING FOR THIS REVIEW
PD 3.1 140watts GAN charger its working or not
The technology is available right now to run games at PS5 performance and quality out of a small unit, so I will wait until they decide to release it.
No barrel jack please. Time to move to type-c for every new mini pc
Can you do a video on emulation? Thanks ETA Prime!!!
is there a good way to connect a few HDD's to be able to use it as a NAS?
where is the purple mate?
I'd love something like this just to emulate up to PS2 and Game Cube.
Very interesting but it was a bit of letdown regarding the fps of Shadow of tomb raider. However, my main comment is regarding the proprietary power supply. After you removed the casing, it was not clear but it appears that the cable extends from outside and it just plugs into the motherboard. If its as simple as it seems, i reckon it would not be hard to modify it into a barrel plug type charger.
