My brother-in-law backed the kickstarter and it all is super good quality. The big players handbook is just a bit difficult to navigate because it has so much lore info. And YES so much word salad to where it was hard for me to stay interested and fish for the rules. Unfortunately my brother-in-law only bought it for the art and has never read the rules, but i am interested in trying the system.

@@drinksanddice6428 i would also like to give it a try! I thought i was being a bit harsh on the writing since I'm not really a writer but it looks like I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Hell no. When the Kickstarter was running, I made a meme that was that scene of Starlord finding out Ego killed his mom with the caption "I funded Avatar Legions." It's literally a game funded by one of the biggest media megacorporations and yet you people gave them over $9.5m. The rules are recycled from Masks (which in itself recycles heavily from Apocalypses World). A lot of the illustrations (The most expensive part of RPG design aside from printing and shipping) are just screenshots from the show. One of the backer rewards was literally a plastic puck with a lotus printed on it. That was the 5 MILLION dollar stretch goal and only included in pledges of $75 or more. This game's Kickstarter revealed Avatar fans to be like the kind of people who donate to televangelists.

@@youcantbeatk7006 wow I didn't realize all that, I figured I'd give the starter set a try but definitely was expecting a bit more in terms of mechanics for sure.
