Hey! I’ll be a freshman this year at UTA and I’ll be majoring in CS. Do u think that the, 13-inch Macbook air M2 chip with 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU. Will be good enough to do all the required work related coding?
As far as you know other than the hardware in computer engineering, is there much difference in the curriculums. Also do they both qualify for the same jobs?
I think there is more EE type courses but for job prospects they are different but I’m sure you can get a job in similar types of jobs. Or software engineer etc..
I'm doing calc 1 at TCC and it all depends on how good your algebra and trig is. if those are solid then you're all good. For me i have a c in calc 1 right now because i blew off college algebra. So it depends on how much time you have for it and how good your math foundation is.
Hi! With CSE 1320 it states MATH1421 which is preparation for calculus is a necessary corequisite? is this true despite one having already completed MATH 1426? thank you
Hi Mark, I just too a look at the 2022-2023 chart and it would seem that MATH 1426 must have the pre-req or equivalent credit to take concurrent or after. so I would believe that the constraint has been satisfied based on the description provided. Hope that helps if not ask an advisor. Have a good day!
@@jonathanbanda7596 thank you! Great videos on C. If you don’t mind I ask, what is your biggest tip on getting a good grade in classes like physics 1&2, as well as calc 2? I am in calc 1 rn and limits have been easy but I want to keep that up once derivatives and integrals are introduced. Any tips on that as well?
@@Mark-bb4ks best advise I would give for the introductory Math/Physics classes is to try to not overlap one another when schedule planning. That aside go to the office hours/ exam preps given by the TA or professor they almost always go over similar problems that will be on exams, but above all that and what’s makes or breaks you is when your done studying put and extra hour. Hope that helps and good luck!!
Any relatively new laptop should suffice unless you are going to train models. I recommend a MacBook but that’s personal preference. Also keep in mind you will be using it daily so go for something that brings you joy.
How hard is cse 3302(programming languages). I’m thinking of taking it with operating systems, calc 3 and intro to software engineering. Is it as programming intensive as cse 1325?
Hi Heet, 3302 is super easy only 2-3 programming assignments that should take less than an hour each. You shouldn’t have a problem with that class but if I were you and haven’t taken databases you should swap it out with either operating systems or intro to SE because calc 3 is pretty and the other courses are about equal in difficulty.
@@HeetPatelHP databases is easier than both. Operating systems is probably the hardest out of the bunch because intro SE depends on your team if you have good partners than it’s easy if not then it’s just more workload.
@@jonathanbanda7596 thanks for your input. I am thinking of replacing 3302 in fall to COMS2302. Would my spring workload be fine: CSE3380(Lin algebra), CSE 3315(Theo), (CSE3302 or ECON2305) and IE3301(Probability). Would I be fine taking the math version for Lin algebra?
Honestly if you are not good at math linear algebra will be hard either way you take it that goes with probability as well. Although probability isnt too bad just may seem like alot depends on your proffessor and their modality. That aside if you are good at math then you shouldnt have a problem with those classes. The only difficult if not most difficult class in the cse undergrad probably will be theoretical. Personally I believe its the most important class but many find it hard and get a bad grade. Dont let that scare you though everything looks fine the most important thing is to study and commit.
On the UTA website it's saying that I should get a intel based Macbook and not a M1 or M2 MacBook. Do you think that it matters at all?
I would go with what the latest MacBook Pro has in 2023!
Appreciate sir! Im gonna be at UTA this Fall for my cs
Exciting! Good luck 🤙
Hii imma be a senior this year in high school I’m not very good at math and I’m dyslexic would computer science be hard ?
Hi Jonathan, i am also planning to join UTA this spring for computer science. I need a bit of guidance on how to apply
Yeah whats up?

How do read the flowcharts? What do the line color mean?
Does Ut arlington provides full tution scholarship for international students?
Hi, I am planning for masters in CS for this fall, Are the studies good here somewhere I have listened that they are average.
Hi Sneha, from what I know and here the program is great!
Hey Jonathan, How hard is the class CSE 3310? CSE 3310, Operating Systems, Linear algebra, IE and comms ? Is this courseload doable???
can i apply graduate program for software engineering with ielts score 6?

I would highly recommend computer vision
Hello, I got an invite for the honors program. Should I take it?
If you can handle an extra assignment or two per class then sure why not!
im gonna apply for the spring semester but just worried ab cal 1 and 2. are they difficult?

Brother, how much will it cost for international students to study CS (bachelor)
I believe the international cost at UTA is around 40k
