This is amazing! Over 60 years ago now my Dad and Uncle would set up a great train and city landscape for Christmas at our house. Every year it would get bigger and my Mom would get more annoyed! 🤣 I'm a sucker for anything like this attraction ... thanks Shawn and Charlotte for the trip to my past! Loved it!
My wife and I just came back from Miniatur Wunderland and we were blown away. Have to say you could spend days and days and days and not get everything. My wife's favorite area was the Rio de Janeiro area, no surprise since she is from Brazil. But I enjoyed every area. Great place, and everyone is so friendly when you ask questions.
Just come back from a trip to MWL. Nothing does it justice, there is so much detail that cameras can't capture. All I can say is "Go There!" Opening hours are great too, we got there are 10 am and left at 10:30pm and it was staying open to "around" 1am!! The time flew by and my usually bored 13 yr old had to be dragged out after over 12 hours but we needed to catch a train or else I think we would have been there until it shut.
In just two words - absolutely awesome. This is what you call a REAL model railway, and as such, I think my own model railway layouts tend to pale in comparison just a wee bit!😃
Can I just say I thought miniature village OK you guys always make things so interesting but I have to say I have never seen anything like that it us amazing there is no way you could see all there is without going back again I loved the night time part and I agree the fair and the airport were amazing and the price is great too thank you so much seen your journey will see you tomorrow thank you loved it xx
The airport !! Taking off and landing , I could watch that over and over 🤣 certainly an amazing place , this is what happens when men are let loose with funding and space to do what they arent allowed to do at home ...I doubt this will ever be bettered elsewhere , fantastic
Great Vlog indeed ! I have been here before and it’s amazing . As a model railway buff myself this place is worth every Euro entrance fee ! You should definitely make a little model fun fair in your Theme Park Museum! Looking forward to the USA trip on the other channel 🇺🇸
Such an awesome place, your video has really made me want to go back! For anyone planning to go, the behind the scenes tour is amazing - you see how the airport and cars work, as well as exclusive scenes only visible from the back of the layout. Tours are available in English as well
I totally 👍 💯 percent hmm no actually a million percent love these mini quirky miniature wonderlands these are totally mesmerising satisfying relaxing extraordinary, I love all the colour backdrop schemes lighting the incredible detail colours sightseeing sound effects the entire package of these gorgeous beautiful interactive attractions makes us appreciate the wonderful people that dedicate their time effort that goes into creating these fascinating artwork. You both remind me of our tv show Spanish Benidorm bargain loving brits in the sun, great vlog both of you and yes I must admit the theme park and airports are my favourite as well wow we’ve got a lot of interests in common 😆
Hello Shawn and Charlotte, you managed to write a very nice video travel report about the miniature wonderland in Hamburg. As we say ourselves, 3 hours is not enough to see the most important scenes, let alone all the scenes. Next time you come to Hamburg I would recommend that you focus on some very specific button pushers and look for them around the facility. At the edge of the complex in Switzerland on the lower level there is the Lindt chocolate factory, which is mostly besieged by children, we should definitely try the button pusher. In Venice on the right you can press a button to make the gondolas sway in the waves, a fantastic image for a video and on the left you can collapse a house and be surprised which event is the trigger. I've been to Miniature Wonderland thirty times now and haven't managed to pick up all the button pushers. There are now over 250 in the entire exhibition. Enjoy your next visit.
Amazing - German hard work, attention to detail - love the Airport and Theme park , very good Merchandise (judging by Video) and well worth the all day entry fee ( all day if I went ) - Hope we see France and UK land eventually - Vorsprung durch Technik
Great Video! The small scenes in the glass boxes show a small section of Berlin from the Middle Ages to the present day. In the video, for example, you can see the Berlin Wall and the destruction of the city in the Second World War.
This place looks phenomenal! The airport & fun fair scenes are my favourite. I love how the scenes change from day to night - it changes the whole thing.
Excellent video Charlotte and Shawn from Miniatur Wunderland located in Hamburg, Germany. This amazing attraction is home to the largest model railway in the world with 1,120 digitally controlled trains and more than 10,000 wagons. In this vlog, we take you for a full tour of this spectacular miniature wonderland! keep the good videos coming on the channel, Charlotte and Shawn.
You missed something with the big cloud hanging on the mountain face. Always when it goes dark a push button will be set available to push. Pushing the button shows the real deal with the cloud, namely thunder and lightning 🌩️
The concert at 36:30 is Helene Fischer. The concert is a replica of a concert in Berlin. This is to collect donations for charity. You can buy "tickets" and then "you" will be seated in the stadium as a viewer. 41:32 shows the distroyed Berlin after WW2.
41:38 that was not a fire that did that, that's Berlin after WW2. This sections shows the history of a small place in the center of Berlin over decades.
8:28 I think that's a regional Baden-Württemberg train (could be used in other DB Regional areas, but that color scheme has to be Baden-Württemberg; then again I only spent a weekend at Europa Park and only passed through on a coach so I could be wrong)
You can tell this is a different country , because if it was England ; They would have to have a perspex glass up ; so you couldn't put your hand on the models .
Many of the fairground models shown here are kits sold by Faller (search for Faller Kermis). I used to own a few of these…they’re certainly fun to build and run from a small motor. As you mentioned it, Top Scan is one of the more expensive ones, unfortunately. Of the one’s I had, the Mondial Shake and Musik Express were probably my favourite. Maybe one of these would make a nice addition to your shed?
That wouldn't of been a fire destroyed the part of Hamburg in the display! The RAF and USAF basically flattened Hamburg during WW2 as it is a main port
I focused on the statistics. -twice as many figures as trees. -only 5x the inventory of rolling stock compared to my stash -surprised by the ratio of turnouts vs signals.
Have you guys ever considered going on a cruise? I never thought I’d like one but I tried one last year and LOVED it. I think royal Caribbean would be a great fit for you as it’s a very fun atmosphere with lots to do
Good morning Shawn and Charlotte, Great video , what did you think of Hamburg? I just returned from a break there, I enjoyed it but I wouldn't be in a hurry to return, lots of graffiti, beggers homeless and some parts of the port stink of sewage 🤮
Smell of sewage comes from the tide. The port is also not built as a tourist attraction. It is the largest in Germany and the 3rd largest in Europe. At the fish market it also smells, after fish.
@@arnodobler1096 Hi Arno , I actually enjoyed the port going on the Ferry back and forth , the port has turned into a tourist attraction with the fish restaurants, cafes, bars, shops at Landungsbrucken , it just a shame that some parts smell and there are lots of beggers.
@@davidGPS95 Hi David, yes of course he became a tourist attraction, where there are tourists there are also beggers. The North Sea has a very high tide. Therefore also the largest Wadden Sea in the world. It stinks more at low tide, of course.
A wonderful tour through our installation! 🥰❤ Glad you liked it! 😊
Thank you! We had a fantastic time!

That place is fantastic! I was so wrong to assume it might be boring.
I'm glad there's a place for all those craftspeople to show off their skills in such a fun way. Kudos.

This is one the most amazing things I've ever seen!
It’s incredible
In Monaco you will see the next epic thing. Real formula 1 racing. There are working on it since 8 years. That will be as spectacular as the airport 🥰
That was an excellent tour of this wonderful place. Haven't been there myself unfortunately. Thanks and greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

Haha, I had this video on in the background and thought Shawn said it was built 23,000 years ago! That was my mistake. Great video. X

They have built it gradually over the past 23 years!
