Today a client hit me up and he wanted an arm tattoo with the last name Cuevas. I went back to this video to get some pointers and I soon realized it was the same last name. Hey bro beautiful work. Did you line with 1 drop using a 3rl to get those fine light lines before shading off of it?
So quick question bro after free handing the initial design what did you do after? Cause it just went to the design and then the video edited straight into the tattooing process. I am curious to know so that i can understand the process of somebody as good as you so i can keep that in mind when i get better down the line. Thanks bro keep up the good work!

It looks like he outlined it with a greywash color .. so when he shades it, it looks more like negative space rather than a bold outline around each letter
It looks to me like after he draws the design w/ marker, he inks in a light outline that traces the design (off camera), then washes off the marker before continuing to ink & that's where the edit picks up.
its called a “blood line” basically just dipping into water to create a line that helps guide like a stencil but when the tattoo heals it’s no longer there

Not a hater the style of tattoo I don't like shading in the whole arm and using your skin for the actual lettering that doesn't tell me or show me that you have skills you just did a lot of shady I like detailed work or that shows your real skills
