I have lots of questions regarding the prelude.
Can you swap a H23A DOHC Vtec engine into a 2001 prelude?
Which is a better transmission the automatic or manual?
How much hp can you get from porting the intake manifold?
Can you also port the cylinder and intake manifold where they seat properly?
What are the pros and cons of porting a cylinder head and intake manifold?
Will the ported component create more engine noise? Is the difference in porting noticeable when accelerating?
    I greatly appreciate your response.

Yes you should be able to swap a H23A in an 01 Lude.
I have to say manual all the way.
I don't know on the hp gains because I have never dynoed the motor.
I don't think it makes any more engine noise.
You absolutely can port match the head to the intake to aid in flow. I didn't because I didn't want to remove my head from the motor to port it.
Think that porting the intake is a good idea on modded motors.
Thanks for your questions I hope I answered them all.

    Well made project 💪🏽
Quick question, where did you find those spacers for the intake? I’m looking for just one Lol
I bought a dummy intake $50 and it didn’t have the spacer.
    Thanks

Is there somewhere you learned the 3 butterfly plate stack? I have a 12:1 H22 with stage 3 BC cams but stuck with a stock throttle body; I know adding more volume will help significantly, I just don’t know *how* much to add...

    • @FullThrottlePerformanceMike

I dont have any exact science behind the 3 plates. I was just looking at it from an old school small block stand point tunnel ram intake. The more volume the better. Like most things in life its trail and error. I hope to have this thing up and running this spring and see how the intake preforms.

When you blocked off the egr and iat did you have to take those sensors out of the tune or does that not affect anything computer wise... I'm using a h23a non vtec in a dirt track car and I don't need all the "extras"

I haven't got the car running yet. I'm still trying to restore the car I hope to have to running end of the summer. I know the EGR doesn't effect anything from my last H23.

I have to many projects of my own to take on outside work. It's not terribly difficult it just takes time. If you try it yourself and have any questions, ask I'm more than willing to help.
