It's everywhere. If there is competition, people will start becoming toxic. Even if it is a casual game, some people are just competitive. It's the same in basketball and other sports.

I definitely agree. I think they should add a 3rd chapter to all the agent contracts. Maybe at the end they have a primary weapon skin. Like an operator for Jett, vandal for Reyna etc. I also think they should add more free to play rewards like maybe a coin system and a shop. People will absolutely still buy the premium skins, but what are premium skins without non-premium skins?

100% agreed. First thing people would do is probably rebuild classic CS maps for a while, before they'd start experimenting with some more interesting and unique concepts. Custom maos would be freaking dope.

Legit. I can't seem to enjoy Valorant again after playing OW2. Valo feels slow and sluggish.
Personally I didn't like OW in the limited time I played I faced so many issues, Matchmaking was shit. They were putting me against people who know how to play. Too many audio clues, so much chaos, you have to walk very long if you die which you can very often because some hero's just one shots you. Not fun for me xd.
Valorant is dying because they're releasing too many power creeping agents and bad maps (Fracture, Pearl), not because of a lack of content. CS:GO has stagnated with the same 8 popular maps and yet the gamers who like the game still game.

Pearl and Fracture are actually my fav maps. I really hate Breeze and Icebox because it feels like I have to play them 80% of the time.

honestly valorant's downhill started when Chamber got into the game,the whole thing with chamber's kit is just frustrating to deal with
they tried to nerf him and the only thing they didnt changed was his ultimate which in most part his ultimate is what makes chamber broken,in fact they nerfed his trips from 2 down to 1,they reduce the trip's radius and the slow for no reason at all and they also nerfed his teleport

When I first properly got into this game I loved how they treated it, they always explain their decisions pretty thoroughly and it seemed like they were gearing up for something round the corner. But now I'm kinda wondering, are they waiting for something, or is there just not a lot left they have to show? I thought we were gonna get a little more than what we've gotten so far, like either a new mode or replay system. However I did really like the skin randomiser thing.
I would love for Valorant to have a Story/Campaign mode. Kinda like how Mortal Kombat has one. They've built up the lore so well, it'd be cool to have cut scenes and cinematics behind each of the agents. But yeah, I don't know how that would play out exactly. Just a thought. 🙌🏻
I don’t think this would turn anyone away from the game necessarily but I can’t imagine this draws in many new players. For me, and most of my friends I play with we just love to grind the ranks. I’m not sure if there’s a big crowd that would be worth riot investing money into a campaign but that’s just from me and the people I know POV

@@nolanmiller1981 A LOT of casual players would flock to this. Believe it or not, a lot of people don't like PvP experiences and solely play PvE games. There is a reason why Overwatch 2 was mainly made for a complex PvE experience (even though they had to delay that until 2023). But yes, there is a HUGE market Valorant could tap into, IF they pull this off right.

one thing valorant could do is keep unrated and comp the way they already are but make an additional playlist to unrated thats even more casual than unrated were u could use ur abilities more often in some way and switch between agents more often, or add some fun guns, or add double jump or something like that.

Imo they need to delete the 4 newly released agents, i started to stay away from the game when astra was introduced. Its not what we were promised by the devs, i came to play a tac shooter with passable abilities, but not a game of super people.
we wont have a replay mode because we would be able to see the absurd run and gunning headshots, peekers advantage, hit reg etc etc, theres no way they will show us those things for free, imagine the amount of rng headshots you would be able to upload to reddit just from a single deathmatch

They need to do something about the smurf and alt accounts. It’s such a bad problem that you almost always have a smurf in EVERY game. They just need to find something on not just rank bout of how many games are played and the timetotal of the accounts. Literally played against an account called “warm up acct” like come on

The game has felt stale for about 2 months now tbh. VCT was awesome but besides that it hasn’t been *hype*. I grind the game daily and 100% agree with what you said.
If they add a third page and another ability that you can switch out like smash 4, Jett has a smoke wall instead of updrafts, viper has a flash instead of a team support molly instead of what she has now, brim has a wall instead of his stim and so on
I want a 2v2 & 3v3 mode so bad on smaller maps.

LIke you said, there is no depth rn in Valorant. You boot up the game, you play a comp or two waiting for your homies, they come, you play a couple of games and you are done. Depending on the course of the matches that day you are either in a terrible mood or in a great mood. Either way you don't wanna play Valorant for the rest of the day anymore. Maybe even for a couple of days. There is nothing to gain by investing more hours into it. No resource to grind. No depth here. Arguably only permanent thing you *could* put your hours towards is the agent contract and frankly, they suck ass. I really hope riot would give more things to do in the game. More game modes, more rewards, more stuff to earn, thereby making it a more complete game in the truest sense
I started playing right before Harbor came out. I got ranked Gold 1 this weekend playing Omen and have been having tons of fun
I come from League of Legend and most champ there are different so I can choose which champ to use. In Valorant, other than some utility different, each agents is kind of the same. You use the same gun (except Chamber), and same mechanic for all agents.
I think one way it add varieties is to have each agent more different. Like some have more HP, some naturally walk faster than other so they can chase better. Some guns are only useable by a certain class, different type of shield, etc. I think that would make the game much more fun as to which character I would use and not just load in and start shooting.
I think what many people forget is that this game is made to be competitive almost first and foremost. The primary focus is always to have fun but in this case the fun can't come at the cost of competitive integrity. People will say oh just add new modes that have nothing to do with the competitive environment but there's just not nearly as much flexibility with a game like this. One factor to consider is the base game mechanics. Without the chaos caused by an actual match of valorant with 2 full teams the game is relatively slow and rigid. This on its own appeals to some people and it's what helps preserve competitive integrity. I'm sure there's some content they can come up with besides competitive content but it's never going to take the primary focus and so sometimes the result is just better to not have at all.
I think that posting super click baity titles and endorsing the idea or question of "Is Valorant Dying" is exactly the kind of energy that furthers a game's death a lot of times. One game is not meant to hold your attention forever if your personal focus is to have fun. Most of the time you don't play a single player game and then go "Oh wow this game is dead now" but the reality is that it might be played out for you and you move on to a new game. New players help re-invigorate games and if the majority of content they see when they look up a game is "Oh my god (this game) is dead" chances are they aren't going to be very interested in playing or trying out that game.
I also don't think that encouraging the idea of a game dying any further helps the company controlling the game itself to revitalize a game for you. These are businesses that see a project dying and unfortunately might have to move on to a new project or start devoting less resources to a game as a result. They have stockholders to appeal to and they also could care less if a game is dying because the moment they hear that their investment is no longer producing sizable income or that "it's dying"(and believe me they've made a ton of money off of Valorant) they also want the company to move on to a new project or start devoting less resources to the original game.
Game devs at the end of the day are people just like you and me and so if they feel their content was good and the response was positive they naturally want to keep making good content. Instead of talking so much about every game "dying" I think the healthier way to help your favorite games keep going are simply by pointing out what you liked and what you didn't like with your opinions and how you play the game. The moment you start saying or asking about a "game dying" it just becomes a never ending negative cycle of what we didn't like becoming "the game is dying" or "the game is dead" all because you didn't like something. This is all much more significant for channels or bloggers that hold a lot of influence (influencers).

People like to get competitive in things they enjoy, if they make it more enjoyable, they are simultaneously improving the competitive aspect indirectly by keeping the players interested longer and other things, I didn’t read the whole thing though bc it’s too long just wanted to say that
your logic fails as counter strike exists. cs is pretty much a more competitive version of the same game val is, yet has pretty much every possible game mode available on a custom server out there. slow movement and needing to stand still to shoot didnt seem to cause much of a problem. and if it was, its not like riot couldnt just alter certain aspects of the game for different modes.
and when it comes to people making videos about if a game is dying or not, this shit will happen forever. if a game exists and drops in players videos will be made. so if you dont like this sort of clickbait, dont fall for it. maybe then the video wont do well and theyll stop being made

I 100% agree...did a video about it (in german) a couple of weeks ago. Like every single valorant player is thinking the same. Its sad that they "play it safe" - because valorant could have been so much more. Maybe it will evolve but I am convinced that they will continue playing it safe.

I don't always agree with some of your opinions, you are definitely right on this one. I started Valorant end of Ep 1 and I absolutely love the game. I am actually playing it rn while I type this. I think the game is getting stale. After playing Overwatch 2 I feel like Val has nothing to do and the updates just keep feeling lazy. I hope for the games sake the devs have big things planned because I am losing interest.

@@averageplayer750 Fifa is keeping the main goal of a soccer game. There is really not much you can change besides loot boxes and whatever. Same thing for counter strike, the devs will only fix something that are seriously broken in the game. Counter strike does not really need new content because it is a classic game that everyone knows and it's great because of that.

Would be cool if we could place practice bot spawn locations as an option for customs under the cheats menu.
The game has a lot of time to grow and it’s def still growing, BUT we do need some differences in the game in general, for cosmetics and I feel as if a whole different battle pass route. Tourney system will beFUN and stressful for those real comp grinders like myself. I just feel as if they need a little bit more umph, I feel like they should put more modes whether it’s for seasonal events, surfing, etc so much stuff can be made but we still have time.🎃
The new ion vandal was such a disappointment. Ion vandal concepts have been around for some time now and yet the devs still managed to disappoint with the variants.
What they should do is what MW3 did back in the day with face off or CSGO wingman. Make small, simple, maps that are basically perfectly linear and then make a ranked 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 modes with one objective in the center to attack and defend. Or it could just be a tdm where last team standing wins the round. Either way.
I was just talking to my friends about this same subject. We all agreed that there needed to be more fun game modes so that you didn't have to go tryhard the whole time. I think that adding game modes, like holiday events from Apex or Overwatch, would be something that gains everyone's interest. I also think that having a story mode would be the BEST thing Valorant could do at this point. Everyone wants to know more about the lore of Valorant and I think that if Valorant introduced a collaborative game mode (or even singleplayer), that allowed you to play through specific Valorant missions from the lore, or the lives of the agents, having a different one every act or so, this would peak everyone's interest. If Valorant does not make a movie, I think this is a very fun, interactive, and clever way to slowly release information and lore about valorant.

Honestly the biggest thing thats killing me for val is the OVERPRICED a b i l i t i e s. I will never forget the patch where they made every agents abilities expensive, just because some players complained that the game feels too “ability based.” I’ve run into so many annoying situations where I have to continuously save or not buy the gun I want because of pricey abilities, or else my teammates will bash me for not buying an ability. I dont get why they can’t make the abilities like spike rush where you just get all your abilities. Like what hurts doing that? Your abilities refresh every round besides your ult ofc.

The devs want the game to be more gun based. There was a time when ability spam was the meta. Basically 0 skill players could get away with being termed a "good player" just by spamming abilities.
They made the abilities more expensive so the game would be more balanced. And yes there is a lot of run and gunning in valorant but that is something we just have to put up with move on.

This video is funny to me as I legit uninstalled the game yesterday. Valorant is a game I want to love but the game is so toxic that you can win a series of matches lose one match drop 30rr from that loss and it negates a winstreak easily. Smurfing is pretty high and leavers are way worse than league of legends. Legit valorant has me playing overwatch. I thought about even playing league again.
It is for me, didn't even played the new maj. Val was supposed to be a tactical shooter, now it's overwatch with a different game mode and a shitty gunplay, not for me.
What about a casual first to 5 gamemode where your team comp is random and changes every round. We have random guns why not random characters?

I really don't care for "fun" game modes, because they get super boring for me after a few games, what I want is a game mode that teaches and let's me practice in progressively harder scenarios. For example, raze satchel movements or controlling harbors wall in certain ways or even sova darts to hit certain targets in like an obstacle course. Those would be super fun for me and I would be able to learn game mechanics while having fun

I wanna see that replay feature and some UI design changes, they're trying to be basic which don't work all the time it gets boring pretty fast. New maps w bright more optimistic design, some maps looks depressing and dark. And change that rng store maybe add more options not just 4 skins for every reset time. Terms of gaming new modes maybe.
Honestly their move to franchising has killed the hype/motivation for new players to enter the scene. Granted they have secured the next year as far as economic stance is viewed, but they lost most of their uncommon/semi-pro market (Diamond, Ascendent, and Immortal ranks). The people who had a light at the end of the tunnel that kept them pushing for a maybe breakthrough onto the scene have given up. Why compete for 25 spots against people who have 10+ yrs of FPS experience especially in the tier 2 or 1 scene. I'm sure they expected this to happen but IMO they did it way too soon. They will still have high amount of players in the lower ranks for sure because that's the more casual experience, as far as ranked goes, it's either going to be streamers, casual, or pro's blowing off steam.
Valorant should add custom map/a workshop this will make it last for atleast 5 more years look at tf2 csgo basicaly every source game people still play the custom maps

Some guy yesterday was blatantly hacking. Ran around looking down at the floor but was getting nothing but headshots. He even headshotred the whole team with a single OP shot even though we weren’t even near just a skill issue I guess 🤷🏻♂️

Very true. They are in a constant safe cycle of adding a shit map that everyone hates, adding a new agent, new skins, and then a balance change, then maybe bring back an old mode that is so repetitive. They refuse to add big changes regardless of what the community wants and you said it is the same as 1 year ago but its really the same as when it came out. No really cool modes, only 1 competitive mode, no nice updates that introduce something we havent seen before, they dont have a guideline and will probably continue the exact same process throughout 2023. They also won’t let us pick maps or even ban a map or 2 which lots of people would appreciate given that no one i know likes fracture or pearl and breeze with icebox took forever to get used to maps in general could be so much better. The community is irrelevant to how the game is and it will be a problem if not changed.
This issue existed a long time with League of Legends... these guys don't listen to anyone in the community.

Sage needs a buff. I have played sage for a year now and there is many things that bother me about her. Ever since they neft her it has made her very unbalanced. Her wall is very expensive and her wall easily breaks if you don't stand on top of it right. Her heal takes too long to recharge. Sage certain wall line ups dont work anymore and its unfair. You cant do anything with that character anymore.
They shoud add coop gamemodes
The game is highly competitive. I hope Riot realizes that they need the community to stay playing the game to continue hosting the esports scene.

I think they should add:
- a third tier to agent contracts. With q decent primary weapon skin at end that's iconic to them. A vandal for phoenix, operator for jet, odin for sova. And etc
- make a earned coin system ingame with cool and fun challanges and events which you can use to buy old skins. Like, half a year after a new skin collection is added, it appears within a library. For each individual skin, you have to complete challanges with that specific weapon. It's a slow way to earn a single skin, but it's perfect for F2P players and will get them coming back. Plus, it's balanced around the idea of only getting 1 skin for a bunch of challanges. So it's time consuming and means original purchases of the collection don't feel unwarranted.
- add custom servers, and map creation modes. Maybe not the same level as overwatch custom game modes, but allow for map creation, editing of abilities and guns. Allow the ability to create, say, a proper gun game mode, or deagle one shot, hs only mode, or marshal hs only mode, or make smokes deal damage and play only omen mode. Etc.
- add new guns. I feel like we have very nearly all areas of gameplay covered by at least one type of gun. But there's still some specific play styles maybe not covered.
- maybe every few seasons, rebalanced ranked mode. If you keep the exact same ranked forever, its going to grow very boring eventually. Maybe switch up the ranks once a year to keep things fresh. I'd love if one year you could get to the top of diamond. But the next year its now your goal to get to the top of Sapphire rank?
New map is mid, new agent is mid, new UI is really hard to go through, no new big tournaments are coming up this year

the new UI is actually garbo. it's uglier (they seriously used the impact font) and less fluid with more buttons and weird navigation. everything is bigger, which on a good sized monitor makes my eyes split apart >__
Honestly don't need more game modes (nor agents, nor skins) - just need to fix the smurfs/throwers problem. It's so obvious in most cases they should just elevate certain players to "detection" status, so when they report with an extra "code" the auto-detect system will instant ban/warn the players. Just saying, it'd be a lot better for the game in the long run if you had a group of trusted players cutting through the "red tape".
Throwing is fine especially if you are on a toxic team, smurfs and hackers yeah but riot don't give a fuk.
I enjoy the game even though I'm not very good. I've heard people say I'm "throwing" but really I just suck. I'm having fun though. Shouldn't get punished for that

70% of the player base is boosted by friends, account sharing, friends boosting friends is the only real issue, then friends struggle to compete in higher ranks.

I think they should focus on adding casual fun modes. grinding ranked is really not consistently fun. I am gold and valorant was my first proper fps. I love the game but Im bored at this point

no because then people would just queue only maps they're good on, queue times would go waaaaay up, and it could get to a point where maps die completely because no one plays them.
@@miketheanimemaster10 if a map "dies naturally" it means nobody likes that map and they should either update it or add new ones that people actually like. Who cares if someone only plays bind? Why force us to play maps we dont like? For example my friends absolutely hates Breeze, even if we win he still hates playing it, why make valorant a bad experience for him?

Riot don’t give a shit. Rank in act3 of every episode is always shite. I’ve played maybe 4/5 rank games so far and only one had comms. Every other game was no comms with one person on each team doing all the work. Riot don’t care and I know this bc I got ip grabbed the other day and support didn’t care! It’s honestly hilarious!

first of all, replay system. overwatch got the replay system where u can watch ur game as an observer. even as a player POV. u can control it in free cam. it's sooo good to just watch a good game that u just played.
also, riot is too scared to make the agents strong. I think they r afraid that people will complain about utilities and receive backlash from players.
they released harbor, but i think he's too weak. becos riot is afraid of makin him too strong. but it's better to just make the agent strong or OP, and then nerf it down based on player experience. if u make it too weak, nobody plays it, and u dont know how to buff it. just like cypher, kj, phoenix, reyna, they still cant buff it enuf to matter, becos first of all, they dont have enuf data, and even if they do, they r too scared that it will b OP. so people just got bored. every match, u see the same agent over n over again. and it is a pretty slow paced game unlike OW. so people just got bored.
i still play val with my friends, but not as often as we used to. we used to play together 5 days a week. now, it's just 2 days. at most 3.. we start playing OW and other games. cos VAL just got boring

If they at least fixed death match and got rid of mmr/sbmm in it. and keep the lobby the same (no end game re play) just make deathmatch keep going. after game ends. . 2nd game starts and so on. And people can leave when they want.
