I lost my 3DS somewhere. It happened about 5 years ago. A year and a half later, I got the 3DS XL but after 2 years the screen was damaged. Now I’m trying to save for a 2DS XL.
Same, mine's lost years ago after i moved from my grandparent's house to my parent's. My brother and sister had each too, and now my brother's gameboy is the last one left with no charger. I'm sad right now have to play it with emulator :( and i also lost my nintendo ds, last time i remember was that i putted it on top of my grandparent's wardrobe inside a box. And that's when i lost it after T_T surprisingly i saw my gameboy inside my brother's bag (my sister was the first who saw it and she told me), i asked him why he didn't tell me and he said it can't be played cause there's no charger, then after we moved to my grandparent's house again, he lost it 😢
yes sometimes, but some systems like the game cube look sub par compared to emulating especially on a lcd tv.(not that i don't ever play on my game cube)

A few months ago my little nephew (2 years old) got a hold on my so precious GameBoy Color and he kinda tore it to pieces. I was devastated thinking I wouldn't be able to play my Gameboy color games anymore but then your video came down like a light from the sky and I learned that I can still play them in my GBA SP. My heart is overjoyed and I thank you for enlightening me.
My favorite Gameboy is the Advance SP. Fun fact- It took Nintendo so long to get a back light to their hand held game system, because Sega owned the copyrights to that. Nintendo bought out Sega.

I still have one! The battery life for this thing is UNREAL! Havent charged it for years, and it still boots up! Granted, i havent been playing it but to still hold battery on idle for years is crazy.

In my opinion, the GBA SP is the superior Game Boy model because like the original GBA, the GBA SP (Frontlit and backlit models) plays original Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games. The original GBA model sucks because it has no backlit screen and the Game Boy Micro sucks because it is tiny and it only plays GBA games and not original Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. In my honest opinion, the Game Boy Micro killed the Game Boy line because of it's tiny size.
Your video reminded me of when I bought my Platinum Game Boy Advance SP on 2004. My GBA had a dead pixel despite the fact that it was new and that I bought it on an official Nintendo Store; still, it brought me countless hours of fun :)

Gameboy Advance SP was the very first console I'd ever gotten to own! That was the best Christmas ever, my mom got me a blue one back when these things first came out! I loved that thing so, so much, and it's probably still my favorite too.
The screen was not lit from the back but from the front, which gives the games a washed out look. The newer backlit versions look much better color wise.
I got my wife a brand new original Gameboy for our anniversary last year. It had never been played. Everything was mint condition. Nothing missing. A co-worker's sibling won it in some cereal promotion contest from way back when and gave it to my coworker. It sat there for years and years in their house until I traded him for it.

Playing my various Game Boy games lately again. I used to play the old GB games when the original Game Boy started in 1989, but sort of phased out of the handheld devices during the 1990's (never got to experience the Game Boy Color era), just sticking with the main consoles. In recent years, been chasing both previously used GBA and GBA SP (backlit version model AGS-101) that still came with their boxes & papers. Bought a Game Boy Pocket (black) still sealed in its box off Ebay in late 2010. It was exciting to unbox an old device that was still brand new many years later.
I think the best portable option for playing GBA games is just to use a modded PSP, since it has a lot bigger screen an buttons an a regular headphone jack
Just looking at it reminds me how older consoles were so much easier to carry around, and as well how fun it was as lots of companies focused the only console that supported their games before the era of NDS and PSP came (and now with wider variety of consoles) and also how it was very simple for a small sized console. I still remember how a lot of kids back in my days would always carry one and it was endless fun. Truly nostalgia (and I still currently hold onto my good ol' Pearl blue SP from 10+ years ago hahaha, still runs very well now).
I got my Game Boy Advance SP AGS-101 for my 8th birthday back in 2010. I still have it today, however, it has a little trouble reading games and freezes sometimes. It has been my buddy for the past 7 years, and I have no plans to get rid of it!
The console have private place in our heart. No matter the graphic was, but the happiness and joy nintendo deliver to us when we are child. So much memories with this little box :)

What I've noticed you could do is get the emulator and the game and buy a Bluetooth controller and control the game that way. You get the convenience and you get the tactile feedback

I don't remember what year, I wanna say like 2003/04 I got this!! I remember because of this color. I was literally about five years old. My parents returned it within a month or so. I don't remember why. This memory is like one among the few you remember as a child. I was in the car when my dad gave that gameboy to me, and I remember charging it in my living room. The game I had was Disney princesses. Such a strange, specific memory but so much nostalgia brought along with it!!
As a kid I would've traded an arm and leg for any game boy. I never had one until 2009😭 but it was fun when I played with my friends. Now I can get any game system I want. It's funny now because the games aren't nearly as pleasurable for me to play as when I was a child and not having access to games and devices. I had my first Playstation which was a ps2 untill 2011 and that was a great experience too. Miss those days
This looks like the exact gameboy i had when i was 3. My uncle -that I hate- was the one who gave me the gameboy -but still- i love it. It was already broken, and now it's gone. My stupid sister left it somewhere and now it's nowhere to be found. I just realized how valuable the gameboy was. i'm just here mourning don't mind me.

The brightness button doesnt change the brightness, it actually turns off the backlights completely. The reason it still looked so good is because of all your fancy lighting.
The Gameboy was and is my first and favourite gaming system. I used to own the original 1989 Gameboy. spent 8 years squatting under a wall light squinting at that green and black screen. I now own a Gameboy SP and still playing the same games from 25+ years ago. Still great fun today. though I will admit I play more android games these days than Gameboy.
oh my god. i remember having this same exact gameboy when i was young, me and my mom LOVED playing disney games on it. specifically a beauty and the beast game, which i could hardly remember. unfortunately, being an oblivious kid that i was, bought it in the bathtub and dragged it underwater. quite a dumb move i did... the nostalgia was strong in this one!

Oh man. I scoured the house for any loose change when the SP came out. I had to have it. The SP was revolutionary for me. So many late night hours playing gameboy games on the SP thanks to the back-light. Not to mention a true rechargeable battery.
I became a really-really happy owner of a Tribal Edition Gameboy Advance SP 2 years ago, and still love to play Super Mario, Excitebike or Zelda on it ❤ Nothing can be a better present for yourself when you complete all of your subject on university 😂 (not a new one, but I didn't cared at that moment, just enjoyed it 😅)
I love Nintendo! unfortunately I missed out as a kid and only a few years ago started being able to afford my own consoles. started with the 3DS and I haven't left home without it in years! I can't believe I haven't even played 1/4 of the 3DS games on my list.
The Game Boy advance SP by far is my favorite game boy growing up. When I had the very first game boy and always had to buy four AA batteries it was hard because I was a kid and my parents had to fork out the money and they didn’t always want to. And then at night I couldn’t play because there is no backlight and to turn on the light while driving my dad always tell me to turn it off so he could see better. SP was freaking awesome and a game changer. By the time the ds line came out, I was the one driving or out of high school and not taking trips with the family.

Ignited ds lite,dsi and 3ds are still rly portable(not their xl counterparts) while psp and vita are just huge for pockets

That was the main reason why I brought the SP model, rechargeable battery+play old gameboy games.
I don't remember what year, I wanna say like 2003/04 I got this!! I remember because of this color. I was literally about five years old. My parents returned it within a month or so. I don't remember why. This memory is like one among the few you remember as a child. I was in the car when my dad gave that gameboy to me, and I remember charging it in my living room. The game I had was Disney princesses. Such a strange, specific memory but so much nostalgia brought along with it!!
I have this exact one and I got it back in 2006 for my birthday and I still play it to this day!
As a kid I would've traded an arm and leg for any game boy. I never had one until 2009😭 but it was fun when I played with my friends. Now I can get any game system I want. It's funny now because the games aren't nearly as pleasurable for me to play as when I was a child and not having access to games and devices. I had my first Playstation which was a ps2 untill 2011 and that was a great experience too. Miss those days
This looks like the exact gameboy i had when i was 3. My uncle -that I hate- was the one who gave me the gameboy -but still- i love it. It was already broken, and now it's gone. My stupid sister left it somewhere and now it's nowhere to be found. I just realized how valuable the gameboy was.

i really miss my younger years. i have one piece of Gameboy advance back year 2005. I put battery in which was incompatible and didn't work from thereon... see, that is how much i could remember. during those days, when u have that kind of special stuff, you're a big deal amongst your childhood friends. Now, i want tohave this Gameboy advance SP AGS101

Ugh good times I remember I used to beg my parents to get me one, then they finally got it for me and I was so happy. I had a dark blue colour one. The first game I got was Nintendogs haha.
I bought one at Goodwill with no charger for 20 bucks and was so surprised it turned on with the green light on. Nintendo makes some reliable game systems!
This video actually made cry inside because when I was I kid I would play donkey Kong country and power rangers dino thunder and accidentally play hello kitty because I was a kid. And I still remember playing in the dark trying to adjust the brightness with the middle button. My gameboy was never found and I keep telling myself "I hope who ever has it currently, I hope they have a good time." I am going through nostalgia

Ahh the nostalgia, this was my first handheld I owned back at 2003 when I was 5. I remember playing Sonic Advance, Super Mario Bros 3, Spongebob, etc on this. This is the best handheld console, bar none.
I was about to search up GBA AGS 101s on Ebay, when I decided to check the serial of one I bought a few years ago for 30$. Turns out its exactly the same as the one in the video. :) Awesome.
The brightness button doesnt change the brightness, it actually turns off the backlights completely. The reason it still looked so good is because of all your fancy lighting.
The Gameboy was and is my first and favourite gaming system. I used to own the original 1989 Gameboy. spent 8 years squatting under a wall light squinting at that green and black screen. I now own a Gameboy SP and still playing the same games from 25+ years ago. Still great fun today. though I will admit I play more android games these days than Gameboy.
oh my god. i remember having this same exact gameboy when i was young, me and my mom LOVED playing disney games on it. specifically a beauty and the beast game, which i could hardly remember. unfortunately, being an oblivious kid that i was, bought it in the bathtub and dragged it underwater. quite a dumb move i did... the nostalgia was strong in this one!
I was 17 when this came out and I remember trading in my large Advance system and games for Mario Golf Advance Tour and an SP AGS-001. Wish I got the 101 now, but my gameboy days ended with the 001

I have 2 Pearl blue AGS 101's and a Pearl pink one, they all still work great and I love them.
This just took me down memory lane, my dad used to buy all my family members that were kids gameboy SPs for their birthdays, they were like $80 or something, these were good ol times in gaming before the nuisances of publishing companies trying to take every penny you have

Oh man. I scoured the house for any loose change when the SP came out. I had to have it. The SP was revolutionary for me. So many late night hours playing gameboy games on the SP thanks to the back-light. Not to mention a true rechargeable battery.
I became a really-really happy owner of a Tribal Edition Gameboy Advance SP 2 years ago, and still love to play Super Mario, Excitebike or Zelda on it ❤ Nothing can be a better present for yourself when you complete all of your subject on university 😂 (not a new one, but I didn't cared at that moment, just enjoyed it 😅)

I love Nintendo! unfortunately I missed out as a kid and only a few years ago started being able to afford my own consoles. started with the 3DS and I haven't left home without it in years! I can't believe I haven't even played 1/4 of the 3DS games on my list.

The Game Boy advance SP by far is my favorite game boy growing up. When I had the very first game boy and always had to buy four AA batteries it was hard because I was a kid and my parents had to fork out the money and they didn’t always want to. And then at night I couldn’t play because there is no backlight and to turn on the light while driving my dad always tell me to turn it off so he could see better. SP was freaking awesome and a game changer. By the time the ds line came out, I was the one driving or out of high school and not taking trips with the family.
