Extreme bonus points for sewing and doing a good job on the stitches. I sew as well, so I know the frustration of trying to use a home machine on projects like that. 🤣 😎

Where did you get those strong magnets? I bought magnetic tape but it has no magnetic power at all

What type of screen material did you use?

Just standard screen fabric that we found at the craft store.

This is a Waste of Neo Magnets! - Make a Simpler Screen - Cut to Size and Hot Melt Magnetic Sheet strips all the way around the boarder on the inside they don't scratch! Done and Easy to Install TOO - I thought for sure you were going to do that after the first one! ( Magnetic Sheet) like refrigerator magnet material

Do those sheets have much magnetic strength?

Those aren't strong enough. Gotta have Neo magnets for this stuff. Which they sell.

Very seasonal project. ...guys running a sewing machine..I always thought you needed a full pair of X chromosomes to run a sewing machine. I guess I was wrong. Time for ME to start watching RUclips videos of sewing because there is hope for me there. :-)

@@karincorbin2355 Suddenly thinking of the tailor in the fictional creation "Fiddler on the Roof" :-) As for a history lesson, I don't think I have ever looked into that corner of history documents where they talk about who did all the sewing over the ages. I'm sure you are right. :-) Either way I really should learn how to make those needles dance even though no male in my family that I can think of does it. .... possibly needlepoint, which probably doesn't count. Craft skills are always valuable no matter who you are. :-) ..... hee hee hee I just remembered all the sewing my Grandpa used to do. He made all kinds of stuff. Thanx for nudging my memory. I'd hate to have forgotten that. :-)

@@karincorbin2355 Upon further reflection, (yes I have been doing other things too :-) ) I am convinced that the strong sex-roll difference in the society about sewing comes from a variety of factors, but the main one is that the moms who own the sewing machines don't let their husbands or their boys get anywhere near the sewing machine. (and for good reason) In rural culture, often the wife rules the house or at least all the finished rooms and the husband calls the shots in the more external settings or at least that is how you keep the peace. In that context the sewing equipment resides whithin the mom/wife domain and is verboten unless you happen to be a daughter/niece/mom/grandma/aunt. Likewise guys tools are off limits too. This is why special pink versions of tool-sets are often sold, which also helps keep the peace. :-) The wife knows where they are and the guys won't touch them. Perhaps someone should make a camo sewing machine. :-) (silly, aint it :-) )

The sewing machine is simply a tool for joining two pieces of fabric. Why should cutting and joining fabric be any different from cutting and joining sheets of plywood? Male Taylors, Upholsterers and leatherworkers have been producing fine suits, furniture and saddles for centuries and they all operate sewing machines. LOL

@@chrisgraham2904 You are right of course. Thanx for the encouragement. I guess I really do need to master using the household tactical sewing machine. :-)

Great idea. I use magnets in many projects. Just one note: Using the small plastic-coated magnets without securing them in a binding is effective; however, a child (or pet) could easily swallow one because it looks like candy. I like your products and enjoy your videos, but please stress the importance of securing the magnets from access by children (or pets).
