Hi. I already bought it, but I have a question about GOP. What is that? When I see the definition on the google, I think: what's the differences than setting the fps? hmm... Please let me know. Thanks.
GOP (Group of Pictures) represents the interval between two consecutive keyframes (I-frames). It is a sequence of frames that typically includes one I-frame followed by a series of P-frames and/or B-frames. FPS (Frames Per Second) represents the number of frames displayed per second in a video. GOP is related to how video frames are compressed and organized, while FPS is about the number of frames displayed per second during playback. For general use, just leave the value as-is. Should you have any further questions. please contact support@videoproc.com for assistance.
@@VideoProcConverter hmm. okay2.. Thanks for the explanation. Basically, understand but not understand. :D Why user want to change this GOP? I mean, what's typical usecase of changing that? Is it able to increase the quality? or what?
@@daryladhityahenry The GOP value has little impact on quality, but it influences the video size. Set a larger or smaller value depending on the intended use of the output file. A smaller GOP size means more frequent keyframes, which can be beneficial for seeking or fast-forwarding within the video. Therefore, set a smaller GOP size if the video is going to be used for editing. On the other hand, a larger GOP size means less frequent keyframes, as B and P frames offer more efficient compression, resulting in more effective overall compression. Set a larger GOP size if minimizing file size is a priority.

1) The surprising thing is that it supports my uberbad GPU (AMD Radeon R5 240). I thought it must be some bug or something that software uses it for anything, but it does, according to SysInformer task manager. I'm not sure, tho, if it makes things faster or slower. 2) I wish it would have some rolling shutter compensation, like DeShaker for VirtualDub, because now some videos looks like gelato. Sadly even mid range DSLRs like my Canon 7D uses rolling shutter. 3) For a test video I used H265 in Matroska container without audio track (latter makes some software confused) and with quite quirky x265 settings with custom, non-typical resolution. No problems with it, nice! Does it have own codes or maybe it utilizes VfW interface? Overall without enough experience with other software, this one seems good enough for simple tasks. Rather fast, good compatibility. I did a honest review on alternative(dot)to (pending atm).
Thank you for your feedback. :) We have received your rolling shutter compensation feature request and have reported it to our develop team. We will take this into consideration in future upgrades.
