    Love the videos and bought one of your cables for my Beolab 2 subwoofer, worked an absolute treat! Really fancy these little Beolab 3s but wondered how they would perform in a surround sound set up connected to an av receiver? James.

      Thanks! Yes, Beolab 3s work well in a surround sound system, especially as Side or rear speakers alongside Beolab 9s. Adding a subwoofer will really help the sound for movies, but it is not essential. If you need any further help connecting the speakers, please ask and I will be happy to help !

      Sounds Heavenly thanks Steve, one last question, I had to buy one of your cables for my Beolab 2 that had a power supply to trigger the sub on.. would the Beolab 3s need that trigger? Or would they just detect a signal and power on? James.

    Hello Steve,

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  2 года назад +2

      Hi, thanks for your kind words! Unless your TV has a headphone socket fitted, a direct cable connection to the speakers is not possible. However, you can still connect the TV optical output to the speakers by one of the options below:-
      1) Buy a B&O Core from your local B&O store (approx. £600 GBP) for remote control of the speakers via the B&O app, or
      2) Buy a B&O Connection Hub from your local B&O store (approx. £149 GBP) for remote control of the speakers via the TV remote, or
      3) Add an AV receiver for full surround sound, with volume control from the receiver remote.
      Please note that I don't sell any of the devices mentioned above, only the cables! Please let me know your preferred option and I will be pleased to advise how to get everything working.

    Hi, thanks for the video. I have recently bought a pair of Beolab 3 and Beolab 2( both used) which are yet to arrive. I currently do not have a Amp or connection interface. Can you please advice me as to what I can buy to futureproof (wireless capable if possible) my speaker set and the cables required to attain this. Hello.. Great content. But please help.
    Can I connect B&O Beolab3 speakers to Sonos Amp? Do I just purchase 8pin Din cut the ends and set the speakers to Line?
    Thank you in advance.

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  4 года назад

      Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I can help!

      If you have not yet purchased (or if you have recently purchased) the Sonos system, I would advise you to return the Connect:Amp unit and change it to a Connect unit which has audio out sockets for direct connection of Beolab speakers. Using the Connect:Amp unit also requires a special Attenuated Converter ( soundsheavenly.com/line-in-connection/33-power-amplifier-to-beolab-line-in-attenuated-convertor-kit.html ) for Connect:Amp unit, as well as the cables listed below, to reduce the amplified outputs of the Connect:Amp to safe levels for the Beolab speakers to accept.

      For either version of Sonos unit, you will then need one set of the following cables for each pair of Beolab 3 speakers to be connected:-

      soundsheavenly.com/powerlink-8-pin-din-connection/105-126-av-processor-pre-amp-sonos-to-beolab-using-the-powerlink-din-sockets-one-cable-for-two-speakers.html#/2-length-1m

      Please remember that you will also need the Attenuated Converter as well as the cables if you are using the Connect:Amp with Beolab speakers.

    hello!! I just received the cable, first of all thank you for the video, the explanations and the shipping. I placed the order from Spain and I am very happy because it arrived very well on the established days. The only thing is that I have a question, let's see if you can solve it for me, I have connected the two speakers to an LG UF950V television. The sound is perfect and there is no delay or anything with respect to the image, the only problem is that you hear a constant sound coming out of the two speakers, a typical distortion sound, you hear it at a low volume, but you hear it all the time Whether or not the television is on, simply by being on, is quite annoying. Is there a way to solve and remove this sound. Thank you very much for everything, as I say, everything else is perfect. thank you so much

      Hi, thanks for your order, I am sorry to hear about the issue. This may be caused within the tv, please can you test this by connecting the cable and speakers to a different device with a headphone jack, eg. A phone or iPod to see if the noise is still present? Please send me a message via my website and I will be happy to help further.

    Thanks

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  Год назад +2

      Hi, it is always better to use unbalanced outputs for the best sound quality here, as balanced outputs don’t have the correct signal level for use with these speakers. There is no advantage in using balanced outputs unless the speakers accept a balanced signal. Beolab speakers (except 50 and 90) need unbalanced inputs

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  4 года назад +2

      Hi,
      Yes, I can help! Basically, you have three options if you wish to use the speakers with a non-B&O TV:-
      1) Connect two Beolab speakers to the headphone socket of the TV for stereo sound, with volume control from the TV remote, or
      2) Connect the TV and all of the Beolab speakers to a Beosound music system (if you have one) for stereo sound through all speakers, with volume control from the B&O remote, or
      3) Add an external AV receiver with pre-out sockets (expect to pay from around £500 GBP in the UK) to allow all of the speakers to be connected for full surround sound with control from the receiver remote control.
      I can (of course!) provide cables for any of the above options. If you can please let me know your preferred option via the contact page at soundsheavenly.com then I will be pleased to advise on the cabling required.

    A small note: I’m in a buying mood for a beolab 2 just for the movie side of it and perhaps music (I know beolab 3 bas is sufficient enough on its own for music). Will I only require cables or do I need more equipment?

      Thanks! Getting a good quality wireless link from the Beosound 9000 to the Beolab 9 speakers is possible, but cheap solutions won't work - the only option I have found that works properly for this setup is the B&O Transmitter 1/Receiver 1 system. I suggest returning the AV Link products to the seller, as they aren't suited for your setup. The simplest option is a direct cable, or the B&O solution will be required if you want a wireless link. Does the beolab3 work with 110v and 220v? Thanks

      Please check the label on the back of the speaker carefully, this will clearly indicate the voltage that the speaker can be used on. Never plug a mains powered product into a different voltage supply unless you have checked the voltage label to ensure that it is safe and correct for the voltage you wish to use.

      @ivonikolov6386 sorry, my mistake, the Beolab 4000 video is comparing with Beolab 17. I will try to make a new video in the future with Beolab 3 and 4000 when I can hear them together

      @@ivonikolov6386 I can do 3 words - "I don't know". I haven't heard them side by side. They are similar, but I can't say which is better until I hear them together. Please let me know what you think once you have heard them both!

      Hi, yes you can! If you don't already have the cords, I stock these here (I can supply them with either B&O plugs or bare wire ends for a normal stereo): soundsheavenly.com/beovox-passive-unpowered-loudspeakers/24-1-2-pin-din-beovox-cx-speaker-cables-pair-also-for-beovox-2500-and-rondstraler.html#/5-length-5m
