IVF has been a brutal process for me personally, and I commend you for setting these boundaries in your personal life and online. I made the mistake of letting a few people in “in real time” … I miscarried at 7 weeks. All I wanted to do was avoid people, but I had to “break the news” multiple times. Really proud of you both for choosing the more private route. You’re in control of who is part of this journey with you, and if you change your mind and want to keep it 100% personal that is your prerogative - put yourself first throughout the process. I wish I could go back in time and do it that way but I know what to do for my second FET, whenever that may be.
As far as body image goes, I will say you NEVER know how your body is going to react throughout pregnancy. A close friend lost weight during her first trimester due to HG, whereas I gained 10 pounds the week after my MC. There is no saying what will happen. Hold onto what you can control (diet, exercise, etc.) and your body WILL adjust back to a status quo. That is at least what I’m telling myself as I’m navigating this current change in my body.

The pcos spiral is so relatable to me! Because recently I’ve gained a lot of weight, & my period got out of wack & I was thinking back like when did this happen and why? It’s really a mindfck & looking at old pics hurts 😢

I loved the “body issues” part. I was at my heaviest before pregnancy. I was so self conscious and worried about the weight gain. Little did I know I was going to have hyperemesis gravidarum, condition in pregnancy of extreme vomiting and nausea, I struggled all pregnancy to gain weight. It was awful. I worried so much about being overweight for nothing. It actually helped me to have been overweight because even with the weight loss in pregnancy I wasn’t just skin and bones.

I always felt the same with other people's sweaters covered in cat hair 😂 but now when a sweater of mine has dog hair on it (she's white), Idc anymore 😂😂
The fat phobic book sounds dumb 😢😢 and I've been feeling the same way you do about weight. It's like like tho I exercise regularly, there is no difference.

For the Litter Robot, before buying the more expensive litter, try delaying the cycling to make sure the litter clumps properly. :) Hope that helps!
we have it delayed, my cats are just huge and have big pee clumps lol! good tip tho

I love karin slaughter!! im the opposite I can't put her books down !! n im not a horror reader at all. false witness broke me I bawled my eyes out highly highly recommend!! I binged all her standalones last year n now im making my way through her Will Trent series! every time I finish a book in the series, I try other books like Frieda McFadden n they are sooo horrible to me compared to the absolute elite thrillers that KS writes! she is ruining me for other authors lol also listening to her via audio is the superior experience imo. her audiobook narrator is incredible with various American accents!!

Chandler, please read the book Anti-Diet by Christy Harrison. You DON'T have to think about/worry about your weight all the time. Christy is a registered dietitian who just had a baby using an anti-diet approach to health and well-being, so she might have some insight for you and help calm your nerves. You are a wonderful person and are doing your best and that is all that matters.
i've listened to her podcast, it's great :)
I hated/deeply resented my mom (till this day!) for making me get out bed before I was ready lol just saying 👀!
