Reading briefly about it, it's hard to say whether Invincible's author really swindled the artist, or whether the artists knew what he was agreeing to and now realises he's backed out of a lot of potential money. Regardless, it seems Amazon confirmed season 2 was coming in 2023. Although there's no date yet.

In the comics, it was mentioned that the reason the Sequids (the facehugger things) weren't exterminated back when they invaded centuries ago is because the Martians started using them as laborers. Think pack mules and work horses. So the Martian leaders basically decided it was easier to kill all non-shapeshifters that visit the planet then exterminate most of their laborers and do shit themselves.
You're right, Nolan is good at manipulating, but that was some low level manipualtion with the pressured "do you trust me?". It wouldn't work on someone like her. Heck it wouldn't work on most people unless they want to trust you that bad. You might get the "I trust you" in the moment, but once she gives it two more seconds of thought after, she won't again. That being said, it looked like he just needed to hear it, he even said it, and that part I feel like was the truth. xD
amber is perfectly written as a narcissist. I don't know if that was the intention, but she is. Her character doesn't suddenly change. She has been a narcissist the whole time, but it's not to obvious when things are going her way. It's always interesting to me how many people see narcissistic traits and behaviours as empowering or "girl boss", but I think it's due to a lack of good example of actually well written strong female characters in modern media.

Also Darkblood being banished to hell might also come into play as the creator said a few times that he would want to expand on the story of the comics, "I had this idea of the heroes going to hell at one point, I mean that's something that happens in superhero comics, they go to like hell or something to save someone or stop something." is basically what the creator said.

The mars barely has any atmosphere, so while the dust storms LOOK really big and scary, theyre actually so weak that dust is pretty much the only thing they can move on the planet. Also, a phone would probably work just fine on Mars, there would just be no signal or internet connection. While its cold, the atmosphere is too thin to transfer heat as effectively as our own does. Thats why you wont immediately freeze if you get exposed to the vacuum of space, there is nowhere for the heat to go.

Take that information and combine it with Mark being a hybrid to figure out what his real mission was and why Nolan chose to do what he did at the end of episode 1.
Spoiler: The low population of the Viltrumites has nothing to do with what is shown in Season 1, even after wiping out half the population they easily had hundreds of thousands, maybe a few million alive.
