In Omi's defense, Dojo was burning down property and eating people. If you were in his shoes, you'd be a bad person not to use extra Wu to stop his reign of terror.
For lack of a better word, this showdown is quite epic. High stakes, great music, cool challenge, and the fact that these two are allies, one who Omi has to save from himself. Awesome showdown, probably my favorite. Gong e Tempai!
@@pforgottonsoul there is no rule as far as I know of that forbids the use unwagered wu in a showdown. I haven't watched this series in it's entirety, but I've never heard that rule if it even is one.
It does seem like it but there have been episodes that characters used Shen Gong Wu they didn't wager or they use their opponent's Shen Gong Wu during the showdown. There was an episode that pointed this problem out when the monks had to challenge Wuya when she possessed Raimundo and she used Shen Gong Wu that she didn't wager. She respond by saying "You are fighting evil, what do you expect?" It seemed like there are no rules against this and Dojo has the rulebook on Xiaolin Showdowns.
Guess I must have overlooked it too while I watched the whole series but I am guessing Xiaolin Showdowns rules are just made on the go. Most of the time they only use the Wu wagered since they only carry one with them and Shen Yi Bu Dare if more than one. However, there were no rules about using Shengan Wu that are not wagered during Xiaolin Showdowns as that is not in the rule book either. The monks and Jack were introduced to this not knowing the rules which Wu Ya knows about. So when she used a Wu that was not wagered, everyone else found out about it. Usually they would never use unwagered Wu because of unknown reasons but it depends on the situation.
bigfatcarp93 Wuya used the Shroud of Shadows during her showdown against the monks which wasn't wagered either when she was betting on the Mantis Flip Coin, Helmet of Jong, and Third Arm Sash.
Ian Murphy His second showdown, was against Wuya after she got her body back and partnered with Chase Young in the 3rd season, the showdown was; Xiaolin Pinball. I think it was for a bag of fake Wu.
@@chimaeraartsWatch the episode where the Xiaolin Showdown featured the monks facing their worst fears. Kimiko couldn't hide much when she used the Shroud.
The only thing that annoys me with this showdown is that Omi uses 2 other shien gon wu that he didn't wager and he got away with it. He didn't even call for a shengy boo dare with the shroud of shadows or reversing mirror. I call cheating on Omi!
there's a loophole, you can use other Shien Gon Wu unless stated. the reason they use only the one is because it's the only one they got on hand or wagered. Wuya used more than what was waged previously and thus the loophole was found.
Why is it the shroud of shadows always seems to change size. I mean, it can sometimes be small enough to fit one person and other times, it gets bigger like in this episode.
thegamewin100 well it’s not just during this showdown, another example would be when kimiko used it during that team sumo match and it was only as long as her arm.
Jared Hamilton well its a cartoon and the writing isn’t the best remember the episode where omi stays small after using the changing chopsticks yet the first time Jack gets the he can turn small and turn back easily yea the cartoon has a-lot of plot holes I’m guessing shen gong wu are just magic or the shroud of shadows can stretch
I always forgot Omi had to resort to cheating in this showdown, was quite necessary but also showed that there were a lot of exploits of a showdown that just relied heavily on honoring the established rules.
Couldn't they have used the Ring of the Nine Dragons and reversing mirror to make Omi 9 times stronger ? Or just the ring to make Dojo weaker ? Another option was using the Emperor Scorpion to command the Sapphire Dragon to pretrify him and return him to normal at the end of the day, but I don't remember if they had it at this point.
KINGD353 no you can use any we you have on hand like how Wuya did when she took over raimundo's body. The problem is that most of the time people only have the wu they're wagering to use.
They didn't know that rule, also that only works if the dragon doesn't have a criminal record. If this Dojo is considered a separate entity, it has the crime of destroying Atlantis beforehand.
In Omi's defense, Dojo was burning down property and eating people. If you were in his shoes, you'd be a bad person not to use extra Wu to stop his reign of terror.
Which one, the reversing mirror or the shroud of shadows? Because they wagered changing chopsticks and fist of tebigong
Well he could also call for shen gi bu dare but maybe for dojo sake it was better not to
Even when he's a giant, two-headed monster. Dojo is adorable as hell.
For lack of a better word, this showdown is quite epic. High stakes, great music, cool challenge, and the fact that these two are allies, one who Omi has to save from himself. Awesome showdown, probably my favorite. Gong e Tempai!
Omi kinda cheated though, he only waged the changing chopsticks but he was shown using the the reversing mirror and shroud of shadows as well.

@@hunterikobold9993 well they berated wuya for doing the exact same thing in a different showdown.
Out of all the showdowns, this one probably has my favorite music :D
That seemed like cheating that Omi used three Shen Gong Wu instead of one.

The one time Omi used a figure of speech correctly

Okay, uh... isn't Omi cheating by using the Reversing Mirror and Shroud of Shadows? Neither were wagered...
bigfatcarp93 I forgot about that
Well considering the circumstances there wasn't much choice.
bigfatcarp93
Wuya used the Shroud of Shadows during her showdown against the monks which wasn't wagered either when she was betting on the Mantis Flip Coin, Helmet of Jong, and Third Arm Sash.
You can used non-wagered ones unless otherwise stated in the game's rules, but most tend to use only the one they wagered.
bigfatcarp93 Omi is a legend and he wins fair and square
This show was seriously years ahead of its time!
Omi vs 2 Headed Dragon Dojo, this has got to be the best Xiaolin Showdown ever.

Cool creative animation and excellent voice work for this episode
Also DB references everywhere lmao
2:26 looked like Aku for a while

I never that Omi would face against Al from Al’s toy barn for half price toys.
Who are Newman & Al?

Not mine.
So how did the shroud of shadows cover the building with the door open then it was closed the second dojo got trapped?
The shroud of shadows can any size fits all
I was thinking dojo probably cost it to lose when he slammed into it. Or just animation error

Didn't a future rule say that a dragon can be wagered if they have no criminal record
To be fair, Dojo didn't really have time to look at the rule book.
