Hey Ash, bought this cologne last week and I'm currently wearing it today. It smells much more smoother and fresher than Profumo. I feel like you can't go wrong with either one. Considering that a lot of people are saying that the Parfum smells like a combination of Essenza & Profumo you have the best of both worlds. In the long run Parfum will win over the majority of the fragrance community.

@@jokaasama1529 Hey guys so my bottle was actually leaking slightly after my first wear when I got home. I own the 2.5 oz bottle and it wasn't as bad as Ash's bottle. I fixed the issue by opening up the atomizer, cleaned up the leaked juice, closed it back up, and sprayed the cologne about 10 times which was unfortunate. But this did correct the leaking for me. Also I do live in a high elevation area in New Mexico so I'm not sure if that affected my bottle at all? Hopefully by the time I finish this bottle and buy a new one to replace it with this issue will be a thing of the past. Hope this helps!
Original Profumo is probably the fragrance i used most during the last years ; i think it is very versatile and has that 'smokey' vibe i really like. Also, it's a great office scent, not too much 'in your face' or strong.
Parfum is smoother and less incense than Profumo. For untrained nose its basically the same. But If you don’t have the profumo yet you may buy the parfum. But If you already have the profumo no need to get the parfum unless you want to collect the whole adg line❤

Seems like these days, Lattafa are the guys that get on clones the fastest. Armaf might've gotten a little too comfortable at the top. Look how quickly Lattafa made Asad after Sauvage Elixir came out. Compare that to the time gap between BR540 and Club De Nuit Untold
As an engineer, it's possible that Giorgio Armani over-pressurized the bottle. Since the bottle is high quality and durable, the gas can't escape by the bottle exploding, so it forces the air out through a small hole in the collar that is created from the high pressure, creating a semi permanent air pocket. Now I'm not saying this absolutely is the reason, but based on the fact that it was fine for the first bit, this is my best assumption. Though I'm sure GA has or will discover the issue, and their bottles will undergo a thorough inspection to resolve the issue
There are pressurized atomizers but unless it’s aerosol cologne is not bottled under pressure. My guess is that is was transported by plane in an unpressurized area I’ve learned my lesson doing this because almost any full bottle I’ve had on a plane now leaks around the collar
So I’ve been wearing my travel bottle of profondo and have fell in love. Along with having a bottle of Absolu instinct and a bottle of profondo lights on the way…. The ADG DNA is slowly winning me over. Hopefully when I get back home and smell Profumo again my opinion changes but I also look forward to trying the new Parfum
I love Parfumo but I don't think it's a freshie as my nose defines that. So from what I think you're saying the Parfum is slightly more freshie at least at the top and mid. Glad to hear they haven't changed it too much.
I have the same issue with my Profumo bottle. I applied 4-5 layers of nail polish at the bottom of the head and it kinda worked, it doesn't lose level, or I just want to convince myself that it worked. :)
Finally tried this yesterday! As far as the fragrance itself, I really enjoyed it. It's got a little more than just water notes going on so I don't think of it as a straight-up aquatic fragrance. For that reason, it ties with Absolu for my favourite ADG flanker. But as far as straight-up aquatics from the line, I would still opt for the EDP

Profumo and blue de Chanel parfums are two of my favorite fragrances ever. Unfortunately my wife hates them both. Says it smells like something an old man would wear. I love the uniqueness of both. I feel as if she’ll like this one better from how you describe it
Man, Profumo is my signature fragrance. Have to force myself not to wear it and instead wear one of my others. What I want to suggest, as I've done is I bought a can of butane lighter refill and blew it through just the gold cap; blew it from outside and inside the spray hole. Thanks, Ash.

@@edrinm4889 There are many atomizers for colonge for travel purposes. You can transfer the parfum liquid (juice) into the atomizer. They come in many sizes and designs. It great to avoid using the bottle and wasting precious juice 😬
Just got a bottle shipped in from the UK. Had better luck with the atomizer lol. I would describe it as a fresher take on profumo. Anybody that says it doesn't smell like profumo is wildin. I'm not a huge fan of profumo because it smells too mature but this parfum is more versatile

I bought a bottle of sauvage edp about a year ago from Macy's store and was leaking in the same way right away I took it back and the new one was just fine. Like you said it probably got through quality control.
My bottle came in and it was leaking similarly. I noticed that this is refillable bottle so I unscrewed it, cleaned the liquid from the bottle and atomizer, and retightened. It doesn't seem to leak? Just really annoying. Wondering whether I should return/exchange.
@xmunitalp : I'm not sure seeing it's a refillable bottle. I never had a refillable bottle, so I'm not sure what I would do. If you fixed it and it doesn't seem to leak, I would probably keep it.

Bought this today and you are right. It does have sort of a green opening which is much different from Profumo. Once it dries down it does become very similar. Profumo was always one of my favorites. But I do believe I like this a bit more due to the opening.

Guerlain are always reformulating. They're not as popular with the intenet so no one cares when they do. FYI Guerlain print the Formula Code on their boxes.
Amazing that we are getting clones that are getting better and better with bottle design, and presentation and then we have this...Kinda hard to justify the price difference when they are giving us less and less and clones are getting better and better up to and including the quality of scent all at an affordable price. These mainstream brands need to up their game especially when they are asking for more while trying to distance their customers from their previous formulation (EDT, EDP) by making them weaker to make their stronger concentration offerings more appealing...
My solution to the leaking problem is to purchase at a quality store and open it and test it out right after you pay. The retail store will replace or refund on the spot even if you don’t like the smell as they can do that easily. Yes absolutely it costs more but hey I like that ability and sometimes you just have to pay 💰 a premium for luxury.
Code Parfum has a magnetic cap and it’s cheaper than the new AdG which has a cheaper presentation. I guess Armani is milking their customers because the AdG line is more popular.

i have the small bottle and that one does not leak. The smell is the same with both ( i have them both), but the profumo is much stronger and lasts longer.

Such a head shaking moment that a big established brand like that has trouble making quality bottles after so many years. That's the kind of thing a quality assurance department should've caught. I mean, it's not like they release new bottle types every week.
I have been looking forward to this release. But I have recently discovered Daniel Josier and also Patek Maison and am loving their scents. May move this back some.

I got myself several backup flacons as well. But after I took a sniff on the current batch I already returned a flacon. The scent is gone after 1-2 hours, not worth 80 bucks or even more. I love the scent but there are much stronger summer fragrances for much less money. This scent is definitely overhyped
Yeah leaking bottle is a deal breaker. If it were a $20 fragrance, that would be okay, but a premium fragrance shouldn't have that problem. Leaking bottle also means more oxidation and the fragrance will deteriorate faster. Hard pass.

I don’t get it my Profumo when I first got it around January would last for 12+ hours, but I’ve been saving the juice and resprayed the other day and now I could barely smell it after 2 hours. Idk if it’s the heat
I was in a bus trip same old ladies couldn't take the smell so I needed to change more than 10 seats and I don't use a lot of it just 1 spray on the hand and 1 on the chest. To be honest after 1 hour I can't feel the perfume at all
Some old people are really grumpy when it comes to smells. Some people are very sensitive too. I’d only use 1 spray on a bus. Wind or air conditioning might have carried it directly to them the whole ride too.
Nothing really to do with ADG here, but I just got a bottle of Khamah last week and the atomizer barely pumps out any juice. I’m assuming it’s broken. I don’t want to bother having to return this and it just makes me not want to use it. So annoying.

I have the leaking issue with my Ysl Y Le parfum as well, though it doesn't appear to be leaking as badly as yours as my spray finger usually gets wet from right under the atomizer but it ends there. I wonder if these companies are utilizing the same bottle manufacturer?
Why they bother to discontinue profumo and then bring out something so close to it? Like there is usually a reason for discontinuation but if it wasn't selling they wouldn't replace it with a twin in a broken bottle surely,
Not sure if you've had the new ADG Profumo that has white lettering on the bottle instead of the silver originals but the newer versions seemed greener & w/ less incense. I also had a friend who ordered ADG Profumo in the last year during a sale & it arrived leaky around the top. Seems like if you have Profumo that has the white lettering its probably redundant to get the ADG Parfum
My 75ml bottle in the UK market isn’t leaking. However, the collar piece has a really jagged finish to it around the atomiser, weird. EDIT: Punctuation

Profumo was my favorite masculine scent but I have two backups and an almost full bottle in use. Lifetime supply as I have other fragrances

Try holding your thumb over the little hole the fragrance comes out off and pump it 5/10 times my bottle was the same and now it works fine.

I got it before it got released, same issue, the perfum leaks but it is an amazing fresh parfum that the scent really lasts and smells ❤❤❤

2 sprays on my skin and it’s been 10 hrs and I still get whiffs.

bought the new YSL EDP intense & it too leaks on occasion. way too much to spend for cologne that leaks. thanks for the review.

I'm really glad Profondo isn't going anywhere because that's the one that tickles my pickle. The original ADG is overwhelming to me.

My aqua di gio perfumo leaked all the time as well under its collar on the top. I could see it leak all the time

Hows it compare to the EDP? And also is the drydown like old Profumo incense heavy or reformulated Profumo patchouli bomb
i have the small bottle and that one does not leak.
The smell is the same with both ( i have them both), but the profumo is much stronger and lasts longer.
Does your bottle have a magnetic cap? if not, the batch you got they discontinued quietly and re-launched again in 2024. New ones comes with magnetic caps and the re-formulated the scent - smells like Profumo again.
Acqua di gio parfum is absolutely my favorite it very long lasting
Such a head shaking moment that a big established brand like that has trouble making quality bottles after so many years. That's the kind of thing a quality assurance department should've caught. I mean, it's not like they release new bottle types every week.
L’Oréal unfortunately, their brands seem to have this issue. Viktor and Rolf for instance is a L’Oréal brand, same fault.
@The Loam I know YSL uses them too so I guess that will be something else to watch for
They're cutting cost on every aspect. Box, bottle, sprayer and ingredients used. It's over.

Thanks for your reviews. When I receive a licking under the spray fragrance, I fix them with a very little coat of clear epoxy.
My bottle leaked from the top as well. I tried fighting the top more and so far it seems ok, but I’ll see how it goes the next few days.

Some people didn’t because they thought that the bottled released before the pandemic was over were better. Learn my lesson from Aventus. ‘Get it now even though it may not be like what it used to be because it might get worse’

I got myself several backup flacons as well. But after I took a sniff on the current batch I already returned a flacon. The scent is gone after 1-2 hours, not worth 80 bucks or even more. I love the scent but there are much stronger summer fragrances for much less money. This scent is definitely overhyped

Once your bottle starts leaking from the top ( atomizer ) you can forget about it. It will flow till ..

Yeah leaking bottle is a deal breaker. If it were a $20 fragrance, that would be okay, but a premium fragrance shouldn't have that problem. Leaking bottle also means more oxidation and the fragrance will deteriorate faster. Hard pass.

The atomizer sphere is defective, that's why it's jacket when pressed...my mancera Sicily atomizer is also jacked

I was in a bus trip same old ladies couldn't take the smell so I needed to change more than 10 seats and I don't use a lot of it just 1 spray on the hand and 1 on the chest. To be honest after 1 hour I can't feel the perfume at all
Some old people are really grumpy when it comes to smells. Some people are very sensitive too. I’d only use 1 spray on a bus. Wind or air conditioning might have carried it directly to them the whole ride too.

Nothing really to do with ADG here, but I just got a bottle of Khamah last week and the atomizer barely pumps out any juice. I’m assuming it’s broken. I don’t want to bother having to return this and it just makes me not want to use it.
So annoying.
Ai tried a sample of this and loved it so much that a bough a large bottle. The dry down is so lovely I can’t stop sniffing my arm lol

My Ferrari Radiant bergamot bottle leaks like crazy since I got it in. So does a bottle of Azzaro Chrome Extreme that I have but not as bad 😅
Im glad that these fragrances that leak that destroy the bottle because its so chemically destructive, im glad that they are perfectly safe to spray on our skin.

Drydown is amazing, it's very appealing. However, i was very disappointed in the performances, it was really bad.

I have the leaking issue with my Ysl Y Le parfum as well, though it doesn't appear to be leaking as badly as yours as my spray finger usually gets wet from right under the atomizer but it ends there. I wonder if these companies are utilizing the same bottle manufacturer?

Why they bother to discontinue profumo and then bring out something so close to it? Like there is usually a reason for discontinuation but if it wasn't selling they wouldn't replace it with a twin in a broken bottle surely,

Not sure if you've had the new ADG Profumo that has white lettering on the bottle instead of the silver originals but the newer versions seemed greener & w/ less incense. I also had a friend who ordered ADG Profumo in the last year during a sale & it arrived leaky around the top. Seems like if you have Profumo that has the white lettering its probably redundant to get the ADG Parfum

I saw it and smelled it at Dillard's 3 days ago. Smells great! And I'm not a big fan of the OG ADG.
My 75ml bottle in the UK market isn’t leaking. However, the collar piece has a really jagged finish to it around the atomiser, weird.
