You are a national treasure. Nay, international.
Can confirm... What a legend!!
Nah, a galactic treasure.
Yalcin, I’ve watched tons of tutorials, made tons of experiments with sine waves on a subby system to find out what’s this sweet spot on sub frequencies and never came out with an answer. Saying thank you is just not enough. You are the best
Thanks a ton, happy to help! 😊
F and G are probably best on club systems, lately I love kicks in F
So True, Congratulations and a big thankyouYalcin. Amazing work !
Your sidechain animation was amazing!
Dude, you are one of the Best.
If not, the Best guy on the Market right now. The way you deliver, the way you break shit down and the info you convey - is amazing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! And Hello from Brooklyn brother!
So much value in this video. I'm so impressed at your ability to condense it into 5 minutes. Just bought your sound pack too. Thanks for this!
Love your mix of just enough theory with animations to help visualize it, and how you show it in practice. Super clear and helpful! Amazing content always!
I cant thank you enough. All of your uploads are very helpful and everything is nicely explained. Really high quality stuff
I've literally just stumbled upon your channel after a few frustrating years of feeling like I'm going no where with my music and you've just wrapped up some burning questions I've had for a while now in 3 or 4 videos. You've just gained a life long subscriber man, props to you. I will be using your videos to learn and hopefully start to finish some music (for once).
I really enjoy your tutorials, the way you explain, you present,... Very helpful. And short videos, below 10/12 minutes, are perfect for watching in-between times 😊
Such an awesome video thank you for all the work that you do!
Great lesson as always and the speaker tests frequencies are pure gold 👌
Great teaching! Concise and informative. I will use this. Thank you.
By far thest tutorials for Dance producers on the web today. Thank you for all the great insights you are giving us! Started to buy your packs to acknowledge that!
I know your channel since the early time, I said to you back then that you are a real secret treasure for tutorials or something like that and recommended you to friends because of your good way of explaining.. When I see this video with your theory breaks and visualisations I'm blown away again from the quality of teaching you reached! Compliment!
Awesome, your tutorials are really helpful!
I think especially in Melodic House and Techno, a good low end mix is the most important thing to take care of! Over the last 3 months I was working hard on improving that and the results are incredible. Thanks alot for putting out this video, it helped alot in the process
Thats exactly what wee needed!
Looks simple but enough complex!
totally worth it stuff. you're the best
Cracking Vid... Really concise. I am always bouncing out but the EQ test is a fantastic shortcut - Thank you!
So glad I found your channel. Thanks for the great content as always!

Thank you so much for this one!!! This low end mixing method will really come in handy!!
I know a lot of people are having issues wit low end due to untreated rooms or bad low end response of headphones. Just wanted to give a method that negates those issues. Hope it helps all the producers strugling with low end out there.
Thanks those charts and graphics are really handy. That playdough subbass and kick animation cracked me up
You are the man ;) Love your videos
It was a pleasure listening to you.
So good. Thank you. 💁♂️
What a great idea to use a tool like the loudness meter like this!
Wa-oh with the Play-Doh example! We need more of those.
Some things are better understood without listening.

10/10 for fun but educational visuals.
love the video, I've had so many headaches trying to balance those. my kick always sounds louder... I will get that Youlean vst and start referencing from there... Thank again man. :)
And it is a great free plugin. I am sure it will help a lot with referencing and overall monitoring.

genio
God you’re a wizard. Legit my goal is to work with you someday.
that asterism outro though :o
A masterpiece of content, Yalcin. Very well thought (the explanation and the visual examples were very well constructed) and direct to the point. Thank you
ABGT'nin introsunda geçen 'Bu gerçekten , gerçekten' sözü gibi bütün problemlerime çözüm gibi video :D
Awesome info-my low end has always sounded pretty amateur, so I’ll definitely be following these tips on my next electronic track! One question though, what happens around 2:09 when you’re looking at the small dip in the reference track kick’s waveform? I couldn’t quite catch the edit you made to your own kick, or how that affected the sound
I believe the "dip" in the kick drum waveform is an EQ cut between maybe 80 and 200hz, resulting in a dip at that position because in the sweep down of the kick drum, that's about the moment in time where the kick hits those frequencies.
I always been wondering why my bass isnt always right. I started to analyse low end 150hz and to my surprise the sub and kick are about the same level. Thats my problem for the whole years. I change the dynamic of kick and sub and boom it become more life. And then i encounter with this video. Thank you for explaining more in details.
Wow! This sketches omg
Feels like it is easier to communicate when people see a visual represtations. Hope it helps 😊
@@Alice-Efe it's perfect!
Thank you so much again and again for sharing your knowledge. a question... Did you made those graphics? I would love to have them to frame them and decorate my studio :)
Gr8 tutorial as always, bro!
Q: U group the kick and bass and glue them separately. Do u group the other drum elements (claps, toms, percussions) and glue them as well?
🔥
Love this sound!!! Sidechaining all the things hurts my ears, tho. When everything dips massively around the kick, my ear starts to get fatigued really quickly - even with minimal stuff like this. I'm using Logic and stock plugins, but still find your stuff super helpful. Thanks so much for sharing!!
one method you can do is split the side chained channel into low and higher frequency (say above 120hz). then, you can just apply side chain to the low freq. this will not have th obvious pumping effect but still give room to the kick
love your tutorials more like my audio engineering curse xD
Great explanation. On which did you do the cellphone and home speaker test ? On the master ?
exactly what i have to do rn)
Great video - very helpful. Any idea why Ableton has C1 as 65hz though?
3:36 nice!
Great video and thanks for that! But I'm not too sure about 4:35. How do you know a mastered track had used that sort of limiting?
