This inmate speaks so clearly and intelligently, that I hope she is in for a minor non violent crime and if so.... I hope can get out lead a productive life.

I don't think it was so much that the jury believed Casey's lawyer. I also don't believe they bought into Casey's lies or were too ignorant to see the truth about her. It was more so the fact that the prosecution team neglected to prove what actually happened. Prosecutors were weak and never proved their case. They left so much reasonable doubt on the table! It's a LOT to ask a group of people (the jury) to vote to kill another human (sentence them to death) for an unproven crime. Until you're faced with that decision I'm sure it's difficult for us to fully grasp.

Yes Annie. You got it right. Generally speaking, people who end up in jail and pretty ignorant. Ignorant enough to do things that they know will get them in trouble. Ignorant enough to start taking drugs that they know to be addictive. Ignorant enough to think they aren't accountable for their actions. Therefore, is --generally speaking - unusual to see a prisoner speaking so eloquently. This woman is exceptional. Additionally, "ignorant" refers to the amount of knowledge or awareness a person has. This was county jail they were both held in at the time right? I noticed a question how was it in prison w/ Casey - similar to that question. Casey Anthony was never sentenced for this case , she would need to be found guilty, sentenced than shipped off to a state prison . Jail is jail surprised the jury really let this case go.... sad . My prayers go out to all the loved ones whom lost this beautiful little girl that would now be a teenager. Sad

This country has more inmates than the population of Germany...one can conclude that a very big portion of them are normal people. I've witnessed time and time again people of higher social status doing hard drugs and just being all around crooked .
Glitter Nails not everyone, probably not even most folks who end up in jail are bad people. You can go to jail for non payment of parking tickets. So, essentially you can be out into jail for being poor. Are you one of those folks who thinks being poor makes you a bad person. Before you go squawking that parking in the wrong place is a crime... Well, when you work in a city that has only 2hr parking, sometimes you cant leave work to feed the meter for another 2 hrs.
You cannot always trust what the jail says. They are interested in covering their own a@@es. My ex husband was starved and beaten in jail, which they denied. Later after multiple witnesses came forward that worked at the jail but felt it was inhumane treatment they finally believed him and then he sued them. It was much more complicated and drawn out than that and a total nightmare.
