Sam Cooke was The voice way back before it was even thought about it as far as the singing show. Ingenious about turning your back on somebody while they're singing to get a feel for them. Great singer in my opinion of all time. Heck there would be no Journey that had all the hit songs if wasn't for Sam. That was Steve Perry's idol and they were both born on January 22nd. The first induction ceremony I believe. they inducted some true greats that year. Pity they didn't induct Neil sedaka and Connie francis then and an absolute scandal that they have both still not been inducted. Who ever runs the hall should be sacked. From Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.
You right about that Neil Sedaka and so many others like Luther Vandross Joe Tex Donny Hathaway Roberta Flack Minnie Riperton deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
