Out of anakin, dooku and obi wan I say obi wan is the one that least deserved all the suffering. Even his upbringing was good, being born in a wealthy family and being a spoiled son. Palpatine always got what he wanted until the end and never went through hardships. Then his counsciousness and soul was destroyed, never to suffer again.
I'm going to put him on a poll. Alongside him will be Maul, Ahsoka, Luke, Leia, R2D2, Finn, Asajj Ventress, and Captain Rex. Top four winners will be entered into a second poll.
I would say that maul over all had the most pain taken away from his family trained painfully in the darkside by palpatine then being cut in half and have to live as a torso only staying alive through his rage being forgotten by his master and having his brother die right in front of him he never truly knew happiness😢😢
Oh right, mental pain. If it was physical pain, I’d say Anakin. He burned in lava, survived, then was forced into a suit that was painful to wear. Then for mental to add to that, he has to live with his guilt and self hate. Then there’s his nightmares, combined with his pain, making him unable to get any good sleep. Then if we consider the sequels to be canon, he then has to watch his children get destroyed in terms of character, see the new republic fall, and see his only actual grandson fall to the dark side, only to then have a pretender take up the name of Skywalker. Palpatine would’ve been fine. They were rich before and came from the diplomatic planet of Naboo, known for valuing democracy to extent where people can actually change the Naboo constitution. Plus if they spread the word that Rey saved everyone and killed the resurrected Palpatine, she would’ve been known as a hero to those not fooled by Empire/First Order propaganda. In fact, since Rey is technically Palpatine’s daughter, the Empire could perhaps see her have the birthright to be the next empress. However, I think I remember hearing somewhere that it would’ve been the job of the Empirical Senate to decide who the next Emperor to be. But that same senate was disbanded by Palpatine way before he died for the first time anyway. Palpatine pretty much disrespected Bane’s vision of the Sith anyway, as the Apprentice should eventually challenge the Master and earn their place as the next Sith Lord. If the Master never dies, then the apprentice can’t rise up and pass down the knowledge and continue the Bane lineage. The reason this is important is because this has prevented generational development. If they were to selectively breed for a higher midichlorian apprentice. Then they could increase the power of the Sith with each generation. Then pass down the knowledge and ensure the Sith always grow without stagnation. If the current generation never dies and moves on to the next, stagnation is bound to happen. While skill and knowledge are important, biology is too. Therefore the physical limits would soon catch up with them. Plus due to the selfish and treacherous nature of the sith and the corruptive nature of the dark side, if one is consumed too far with it, then along with the stagnation of the too long-lived Sith Master, comes arrogance and complacency. Someone with a desire for power would never stop when they have power. They would be too greedy for stop there. They’ll always want and need more. Therefore, they will need to be motivated to grow. Grow endlessly to feed this hunger. Compared to the Sith of the old republic Era, Sidious didn’t worship the dark side as much as the sith of old did. Where are the tributes? The offerings? Once Sidious won, the rule of two would’ve no longer been necessary. Why? Because the Jedi were defeated. Yes, there would be a risk of infighting, but it’s always good to have a backup plan to ensure darkness can spread efficiently.
