- I decided to extend the original video again. You’re welcome.
I took to the comments of the previous version and took a few selections while also adding some more characters from classic and modern pieces of media, and even some memes. So… go nuts.

All the pain zuko went through:
-wasn't his father's favourite
-his sister wants him dead
-gained a forever scar for speaking out against his father
-banished from home to search for the avatar. His father knew the avatar didn't exist anymore, so he banished him to find somebody who no longer exists
-wasn't forgiven by his uncle for betraying him, although he tried his hardest to make up for it
-no matter how hard he tried to make lightning, it kept on exploding
-had to leave behind someone he loved so he could try and befriend the avatar
-wasn't accepted by the gang when he tried to join
-accidentally burned toph's feet, making the gang hate him more
-accidentally revealed that he sent an assassin after the avatar
-Once he does join, katara threatens him. Saying that if he makes her think that he will attack aang, she will end him.
-got eletricuted by Azula. (The reason he got eletricuted is because: she was aiming the lightning at katara, so he jumped in the way, saving her)
He deserves better, man.

- He nearly died a million times over the course of RE 2 4 and 6
He had to talk to a monarch in Re 4.
That alone is enough for one man to deal with in his life.
The literal pain Plants Vs Zombies wallnut went through cannot be compared to any other character.

Legit no one showed up for his birthday, lost his date who was a pop star(who is phineus and candaces mother), lost his spot to go to the space, literally got hit by a giant thing of tinfoil nad made it magnetic and tinband aluminum aint magnetic, literally got his entire dimension invaded, mad3 a memeory eraser inator, was abused his father, is by far a genius when it comes to instors, literally helped stop an every shrinkening timeloop, and became a hero.

Here's another (spoiler warningfor Demon Slayer): Gyutaro (no last name given). His mother tired to kill him numerous times before and after he was born and he remembers all of it. He was born in a place where beauty measured your value, 1797 Japan's Entertainment District. People shunned him and threw rocks at him because he was ugly. Worthless, sad sack, coward. All names he's been called. Then came his sister, Ume. She was his pride and joy. Their mother died of syphilis and named Ume after the syphilis before she died. He protected and cared for her. One day he wasn't around to protect her. When he came back, he discovered his sister barely alive and severely burnt. She stabbed a samurai in the eye for insulting her brother. After being given nothing in life, he begged for the gods to not collect from him. He and his sister were found and turned into a demon by the at the time Uppermoon 6.

Talking about parents hating you. Faramir from lord of the rings had his father disregard him, consider him worse than a spare and psychologically and emotionally abused him every time he got the chance.

Despite that, he was a decent man, that succeeded where his brother tragically failed. Though, his father's emotional abuse led him to lead a basically suicidal charge to attempt and stop an invasion to his home city. That, need I remind you, has been under constant orc attacks for years. So we just add the basic war PTSD package there.
Y'know you could argue that Abby, the main "bad guy" from the Last of Us 2 suffered more than Ellie. First off she was basically born and raised in an apocalypse. Then she was a part of the Firefly's so she was basically a part of a terrorist group and probably saw a lot of battles and people she knew die. Then a large part of her group was murdered by Joel including her dad and their leader. Thus losing the hope of a cure which was the only thing keeping her group together. Then her boyfriend broke up with her and got with her friend. Then after getting her revenge on the man who killed her father and sparing Ellie she got to watch all her friends die one by one. Then she had to fight a horrifying abomination by herself in the pitch black darkness of the hospital. Then she got to watch the leader of her new group die and then she got to watch her new friend who she had gone through so much to safe get absolutely riddled with bullets right in front of her. Then she got to go back to home base only to find her ex, her old friend and her unborn baby, and her dog dead. Then after going to get her revenge and SPARING ELLIE AGAIN even though the last time she did that all her friends died she finally gets some hope of finding some members of the Firefly's only for her to then be captured and essentially tortured and starved for several weeks to maybe even months. Then after all of that she has to have a final duel with Ellie when she's already starving and weak...i'm probably going to get hate for this but I don't really care: I enjoyed playing as Abby more than Ellie and I honestly liked Abby more than Ellie. Ellie threw everything she had away just for the fleeting chance of revenge where as Abby let Ellie go even after Ellie killed everyone she loved.

Yeah even a case case can be made for William afton/springtrap in the case for physical pain as horrible actions aside and it being deserved having metal cut into you and being springlocked and left dying but also not in a dark room for 30 years with the robotics or the suit going through your body to make you more robot is painful.

Being killed and then revived over and over again in a constant loop of eternal suffering only to be treated as the strongest character in the game, then getting ran over by speed runners with 7 beds. The physical and mental pain that dragon has been through is more agonizing that almost anything

Why people think that just because a character gone through pain it justified a bad writing? Pain is a part of character and the source of motivation.

Agent 8 from splatoon. She:
-was born and forced to stay underground or very far away
-was hypnotized, and her only source of help was someone she may have seen as a traitor of her own kind, and a member of a species she was trained to fight and possibly kill
-lost her memory
-was forced to take on several lethal challenges
-died several times completing said challenges, only to be revived to try again
-almost got brainwashed again
-almost blended alive, with no respawn pad
-forced to fight the hero of the species she was trained to kill, but learned to love, not once but twice
-had the fate of the world suddenly thrust upon her twice
-had to integrate and fit in with people who were raised to fear her species
-saw possible friends get brainwashed
-had to learn to trust somebody who used to be part of the group trying to re-brainwash her
And in the end was bought back in a mediocre second dlc
For a suggestion, maybe Powder from Arcane (A Netflix show). Lost Vander, Silco (Her two father figures), Mylo, Claggor (Her best friends), feels like she lost Violet (Her sister, and she hasn't lost her), and she lost her parents. Went through lots of emotional pain that turned into mental pain, which caused her to go insane.
It fills my soul seeing Mike from until Dawn getting recognition.

I'm surprised that Rosaria was the only Genshin character who made the cut... Most of the (playable) cast fits in this.(Not all tho, Albedo/Lisa/Thoma and some others don't) honorable mention to the entire population of Khaenri'ah + Dainslief. Oh, and Ruu, Jeht, the guy behind Mondstadt Cathedral with his lyre, and Subject Two. They deserve mentions even if they're NPCs/showed up once or twice and never came back.

Captain rex -by the end of the clone wars, he had lost almost everyone he cared about through a variety of means, but mainly since they either died or are somewhere else now(e.g. echo)
Ellie does go through some shit, but for the entire first game she gets her ass saved and has no real trauma going into the second. And almost everything that traumatizes or hurts her effects someone else more.

I can think of 3 Quintillion people that suffered more than her: Literally anyone from the Imperium of Man. Hell, even the entire setting.
- The God Emperor had half his sons betray him, now living in a constant state of eternal torture and suffering. Escaping would literally mean the death of the galaxy.
- Anyone Aeldari. They have to live with the fact that they birthed Slaanesh, and if they're irresponsible they could be consumed by it.
- Literally any Human. There's a reason the life expectancy in a hive city is 30 years.
- The Astartes were all taken from their homes as a mere child, and put through excruciatingly painful training and genetic enhancement procedures.
- Any Chaos Primarch. Angron was forced into slavery in a blood arena as a literal baby, Mortarion suffered at the hands of Xenos tyrants for his entire life before being forced into chaos support via torture by Nurgle, Magnus was hated by his fellow primarchs and even the God Emperor for his psyker abilities (Psykers are a whole other can of worms,) and Perturabo was betrayed by his best friend and stabbed with a chaos blade.
- The Imperial Guard. Would you want to be given a flashlight and thrown at 30 ft tall bugs with swords for arms?

7. Has completely lost his memory of his family until his fight against the Meta Liberation Army.

I like how you included him getting shot, but not him losing half a hand to re destro or the several month long process of preparing his body to handle all for one which was nothing but pain for him.

ok how did I see Roxas but not Sora or Riku? Sora has literally committed suicide and died two other times and has seen all his friends straight up die in front of him. And Riku has been possessed and had to live through being one of if not the only one on earth who could remember Sora for a year and has also died to protect Sora only to be revived and see Sora die yet again less than a day later.

Church died multiple times thought he was a ghost a fragment of an AI based off a old man who died. The AI was fragmented so there was around 10 of them they were all harvested for military use Epsilon also church was the last one the most run down and had the best death scene there we go I think I might have proved them wronged also Church is seeable in this.

not sure what the girl in the post went thru but i don't think its as bad as what Angela from project moon's games went thru (being forced to percieve time around 10000x slower, repeat the same 50 days until she followed a script that had her constantly neglect hundreds of lives and the wishes of her collegues, literally being illegal as a concept (being an AI that resembles a human is super illegal in the world of the games), then having to face off against said collegues due to differing opinions about the outcome of the plan of her creator, list goes on)
