Its impressive how she racked up quite an army of haters just from over 7 minutes of screen time.
I mean, the show never tried to act on her potential relatability or weaknesses like, let’s say, antagonists as static as Boscha or Kiki. When she’s in power, she’s a tyrant as we saw with her destroying Willow and Amity’s friendship because “muh social status.” And then she’s just a selfish coward when she’s an underling like with Belos and the Collector trying to get all cozy with them to stay out of any killzones.
She’s earned those 7 minutes of becoming notoriously hated, even if she got the simps..
And nobody will never love her.
Literally the only good thing I can say about her is that at least she's not homophobic.

Odalia is the DEFINITION of a perfectionist. She wants everyone and everything to be perfect and go her way even going out of her way to make H3ll for her kids.
In my opinion, I find her as an amalgamation of three of the most hated villains who are perfectionists in cinema history: Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter), The High Evolutionary (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Captain Vidal (Pan's Labyrinth).
What about White Diamond from Steven Universe
Her and Manfred von Karma are prime examples of perfectionists

The show never bothered to elaborate what led Odalia to be the narcissistic social Darwinist she is today. Proof how irredeemably evil she is. My guess is she became mad with power after obtaining much wealth and affluence from her and Alador’s business since they founded Blight Industries.

I am probably not the only person who thought this, but when Odalia said no at first to Luz being Amity's girlfriend, and because I never saw the text before, I immediately got upset and a little bit mad at Odalia, and then when I learned that she was actually okay with Amity still having a girlfriend who was not Luz, I was like okay that makes me less upset, but i'm still mad at Odalia for being the worst person and worst mother ever. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

I really like it when cartoons/games tackle such subjects and Owl House is definitely an example of this. They’re basically telling us that they’re aren’t a lot of lucky people out there in a way for children to understand. You might all hate her. But I’m glad that they’re teaching us that villains do exist but they’re not kings, queens or demons

My guess is even Belos was disgusted that Odalia was willing to sell out her own species for profit. That or Raine seemed like a more sympathetic shield to keep the heroes from harming Belos.
Raine is a significantly more powerful witch and was also a puppet. Also, it’s easier to fool people in the body of someone who seems more trustworthy

Odalia was literally a mean and selfish control freak.
Odalia literally expelled Amity's friends for her own selfish reasons.
She also "controlled" Alador for a while. I could tell he _REALLY_ didn't want to get involved with Odalia's business in "Escaping Expulsion" because he was playing with Bump's Palisman's tail and chasing a butterfly more than he was listening to Odalia.
She also didn't want Amity to date Luz, despite Luz being Amity's girlfriend at that point, all because Luz was wanted for opposing Belos.
She also didn't want Amity hanging out with Willow because she thought Willow was "too weak."

I like this, because the writers surely think "This is very subversive. The mother is the evil and auritarian one and the father exists to be her true support. Not like in previous stories." Because I remember "Snow White" very well and the great motherhood that was told there. Or in "Pinocchio", or in "Cinderella". And with "Bambi" begins a LONG trend that to this day of having a deceased relative (mothers, mostly). Today, in the popular scheme, something similar is happening with VivziePop, who uses his demonic productions to talk about his father, but at least Walter turned the fantasy into something audiovisual. While Vivanne did more of the same (I mention Vivianne, because at least her superiors fool us into the illusion that she's in control of something in her series).
