Hello my friend, many thanks for watching my video's. I used two books, which both gave me the route and details about the area, such as it's tales and history, both subject's that I love to include in my walks. The first book is, Recreational Path Guide; The Dales Way', by Anthony Burton, published by Aurum Press. The second book is Dales Way, by Paul Hannon published by Hillside Publications. a lovely pocket size book full of line drawings. Coming soon the first part of my walk, Along the Dales Highway, walking through the high country of the Yorkshire Dales.
Hi Libby, I am pleased that you liked the video. I filmed it on a Canon video camera which used DV tapes, unfortunately I don't have the camera now so I can't remember the model. I filmed the walk without a tripod because it was lightweight, and although this walk was done in 2005 I think that technical advances now with selfi sticks and DSLR'S would make a better quality production. xx
Hi Dan, I walked the Dales Way in the first week of July, I find that the weather is quite good at this time of the year, plus there is the advantage of not to many people so accomodation is a lot cheaper and easier to find.
Thankyou so much for sharing your walk i really enjoyed it
Hi Paul, thankyou. I hope that you have watched part two as well.
What guide book are you using? Thank you, lovely videos!

Hi, great video, may I ask what you filmed this on? :))

Thanks for the video, much appreciated! If you don't mind me asking, what month did you do the Dales Way? You never can tell with the weather!
