I liked his Podcast back when he had it and knew one day he'd show up in the spotlight again somewhere. He's got so much life & energy & Bo is definitely part of the good ole days of Old School.
Great to see this team up of two true New York legends.
And boy - that headline on the thumbnail for this interview was absolutely right on the money.
The only problem with it is that Bo Dietl is so interesting and so damn entertaining that 30 minutes is nowhere near long enough!
For example he just casually mentions that he’s been mugged 500 times and shot at over 30 times before quickly going on to the next part of his story
as if these were just Normal things that happen every day to everybody.
Any ONE of those moments could be a story for an entire segment and video all by themselves.
You could easily set up an entire series featuring this guys adventures!
Without a doubt this one is definitely one of your very best interviews Chazz….
I worked with Bo in the early 80’s on the streets of Spanish Harlem. We had many drinks together at “Rags”, located at 119st. & Park Ave. His company hired me when I first retired after 9/11. A hell of a guy & a cops cop!!!!

@@garyny4073 Absolutely. Almost on a daily basis. At times i stared into the eyes of the devil himself! Sometimes, the things we saw were almost unimaginable. One thing I learned from all my years in law enforcement was, anyone is capable of doing anything-given the right,(wrong), circumstances

Mr Bo I had the Pleasure of shaking your Hand at the ' save Columbus Day" Rally a few tears back. I remember around 2912 I was walking across Pleasant Ave and 116th and Chit Chatted with a Guy From the Niehborhood..he was sitting in front of his Brownstone, on a Folding Chair..Listening to the Yankee Game. You Guys should Buy that Bar on 119ths...it's one of a Kind. IDrank Beer in that Bar plenty. I think it's Closed. God Bless and Thank You.

That's the one good Law they passed where if a cop does something wrong and violate someone's civil liberties they can be sued, that should have been instilled in the conception of the department ,that'll prevent cops from taking advantage of people
Can't believe with all of his foresight, having a good hunch about certain things, and being a good judge of character, he still endorsed Mayor Addams. Worst mayor ever.
