Side track played at my wedding in 2000 ! Didn’t realize John was the sound man. Awesome band, Great memories! 🇵🇹
The most special guest you've had so far! 😁
You guys can noticed the transition on how red we all get from the beginning of the podcast to the end 😂
Hello guys, very great podcast! Question, if you can ask John Fontes being from Bridgeport, what ever happened to that Portuguese band called Red-Star from Bridgeport. I remember them having a female singer and a couple of brothers in the band! Thanks again, be well!
Here is a kicker, John is not from Bridgeport. Born and raised in Naugatuck, currently residing in Prospect.
Red Star , I believe ended before I started going to Bridgeport, early 1990’s however, I do believe that some of the Red Star members did play in other bands, but not 100% positive.
Steve, the keyboard player and the two American brothers in sidetrack did not play the gigs and Virginia and never played for free for the folklore anniversary festivals, it was the other musicians, Kevin Moniz, Larry Moniz, and Marco Demoura…… and BOD was also Larry Moniz, Marco Demoura Junior Dasilva and Pete Sedaris… no one ever talks about the azorians!!!!! Lol the best gig that sidetrack ever played was in Bridgeport Tres Montano festival…. just saying
