sinister9111 problem is that if it turns out to be shit to them as they say, they wasted money on it. They're saying it from their perspective and people are able to judge a game to a significant extent through videos and reviews. saying they have to actually play the game, which implies they need to get it, is like saying they have to play the game to actually like or love the game and cannot get it because of financial or other reasons.

Game unfairly got a bad rap. There were plenty of legitimate criticisms and a lot of them would’ve been solved with DLC and/or a part 2, but Bioware execs shit the bed.

Advanced Gamer So far, the only bad thing I've found in this game is the facial animations. I don't understand the hate either. Unless the haters MUST have top notch facial animations, I don't see why they would hate this game. I, however, have put a lot of time into Fallout and The elder scrolls, so I'm used to bad facial animation.

I gotta say I'm enjoying mass effect Andromeda. This is the 1st game I disagree with certain reviews that I watch. For perspective I've not played the original trilogy so maybe I'll check out the older games nxt. This game runs better than fallout 4 did on my ps4 ,and story is enough to keep me interested. Can't help but wonder how diffrent my opinion would be if I'd played Mass Effect 1-3 .
Not as good as the previous games (story wise) but is still enjoy it.

I just can't really get into the combat, but the story seems fine I like the idea of rebuilding a bunch of worlds.
This game is like traditional sci-fi stories.. caters all the needs of the few but mainstream dosn't really care so much for most features or progression..

Anthony Tosh andromeda is a really fun game from what I have played any way just to let you know the older mass effects won't give you as solid rpg elements (except for 1) but it is richer in story and characters though andromeda still does have fun characters

I'm going to comment on this video, not the game in general.
You and I have different ideas of farming. Everything you described are finite resources, you can't come back later and grab them again. To me, farming is performing the same action over and over and getting more resources each time.
So, TBH, your video did not help me at all.
The only farming for resources I've found so far (and since I'm stuck at a bugged infinite load screen on the second planet isn't much), which you didn't mention, was spending AVP on miners which lets you collect resources every 45 minutes of single-player game time. It's in the Science section, and it does have a second rank. I'm trying to get enough beryllium but it's taking me some time.
Mark Schneider Agreed. Farming means repeatable infinitely. This video is just an explanation of the normal game systems at work that allow for resource and research point collection. In no way is it a farming guide. The title misleads big time.

Holy crap! You took the very worst part of Mass Effect 1, the irritating background music, which was at default, too loud, and distracts from the conversation, and you added it to this video! LOL Well done!
There are also APEX missions you can run through the Militia HQ and the Tempest. You recruit teams with funds, send them out, see if they're successful, then collect the rewards. These rewards include credits, weapons, resources, research points, etc.
You can also run these APEX missions through an app for Android and iOS.

For anyone new to the game in 2021...download the mod for the rover that allows you to gather all the resources with one probe, and you don't have to be right on top of it.
Maybe one day, they will figure out how to make scanning for resources, actually fun. Until then, modders will come to the rescue, as they have done here.
Like in ME2. That system wasn't bad, it's that they ruined it. Too many locations to scan, and the default mechanism is to slow. Modders fixed that. One is one probe into the planet and you get all the resources. Another simply speeds up the mechanism, and gives you more fuel and probes, so you don't waste time going back to get more probes and fuel. I would have preferred that all resources of each type be scanned for, and gathered with one probe for each resources. In other words, instead of 10 to 15 spots to send a probe...just one for Eezo, etc..., one location to probe for each resource...such that the most probes you send to a planet is 4.
In this game, you drive enough. I don't want to play "hot or cold" with the rover to find resources. Instead, I would have preferred sending out a big pulse, which would tell me where rocks worth mining are. Then let me go mine them with a mini game, like in Star Citizen. So far, that is the most fun, immersive scanning and mining system I've seen in a game.

this is a bit of a silly question but is there any camera settings? the footage I've seen from exploring the big open world maps the camera seems to be quite far from your character but then other footage it's quite close to your character? any feedback would be appreciated, thank you

I think this is the best ME game , exploration map size wise.
The planets have such diverse looks to them and the areas to explore are diverse.

Personally I have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with this game so far. Lol, that is why I take everything that everyone else has to say with a grain of salt. Most of them don't have any idea what the hell they are talking about.

No problem, animations are not a problem, I really had to be looking for errors to be able to find them and the best of the game is the combat which is the best of the whole Mass Effect saga

Ok guys, I'm a little worried with this so I need to ask. From a 0-10 scale how good or bad is the story and why (try to avoid spoilers pls)?

Everyone who doesn't get the hate. 6 years ago is blind. Theres now 6+ years of footage, even current footage to see why its deserved. The game even in this current day is unfinished and has loads of bugs. Still its fun and worthwhile and i find it enjoyable, however its just a mess at times. 40 mins in and i got 12 clips of bugs. From npcs in the ground, kett just flying off, cant save near doors or in most parts of missions, no regeneration on life support, characters shifting weirdly into animation position, scanning not working on objects, waypoints that dont lead where there supposed to, quests sharing the same names yet being in two different categories (only one tracks and shows the actual objective) numerous terrain issues like invisible terrain unless scanner is open, enemies in walls, turrets being invincible, NPCs not being able to talk to them when a prompt is available to do so, still some facial issues but most of it is decent, some delay in loading cutscenes and NPCs in diologe, framerate drops, small amount of lag at very specific times, definitely balancing issues at NG+ and lots more. Theres a plethora of little issues and problems. But its playable and enjoyable and deserving of the negative feedback and distain. Just look at what it was years ago, fair amount has been "fixed" but overall it was just a Hotfix before they abandoned it. Its a shame.
I'm really enjoying my time with the game. Is it perfect? Not at all, but it's nothing that makes the game unplayable. I came into with the same mind frame I did with ME1

I agree with many comments here. This is a great game which doesn't deserve all the hate it got. Yes It's not at the level of ME2 and 3 but it's still a very good game. The little problems with facial animations don't break the game which is solid and works perfectly. So I don't understand the hate. Other games with the same problems didn't receive the same treatment: the few animations in Skyrim are awful and it has many other faults like awful graphics but it works perfectly and people love it. Kingdom Come deliverance: I like the idea of a medieval game without magic but the animations and graphics aren't great in that game and it's almost unplayable because the combat system is terrible and it's even very difficult to ride a horse but nobody buried it. I'm starting to think some people hate Bioware games for some reason: Dragon Age Inquisition had some awful reactions too and it's a great game that works perfectly.

Ron Simons They were hiring animators straight out of college because they wanted a more diverse group of people on their team. A lot of people have been calling bioware "SJWware" because of this.
I haven't heard of this before! If true, Bioware should have made this very clear so we as buyers would know the graphics was subpar. Thank you for this info.

Say what you want about Andromeda but you have to agree that there is that one thing that ME:A got absolutely right... It proved that Fallout 4 isn't as bad as we all though it was.
Fallout 4 wasn't bad. Settlement system was great, finally good combat and the voice acting was superb. It's a good game, just not a good Fallout game.

This really isnt a farming video. See Destny Loot Cave 1.0 for an example.
Another video that misses the point. We can see to pick stuff up. How do you craft stuff. Why doesent the weapons you craft show up in your load out. Important details like that.
