My brother had what we think was a Franklin Albatross. We called it "the Turtle" and considered it a disc-shaped object... The best way I found to throw it for distance was to start it upside down on hyzer between my index and middle fingers and flip it all the way over into a roller...
my aunt bought a franklin set of discs with the albatross and the way i flipped that disc when trying to throw it was comical, also the flashing on those discs was abysmal, i sold my aunt a full 3 set with an aviar, uplink, and diamond and her game improved plus no cuts on her fingers!
Can confirm as a former daredevil team member, they do change the name of the disc based on the plastic. Some of the team tried to ask for a change with the latest disc but that didn’t happen 😅 some good discs, but wildly inconsistent haha
those elevation discs are bangin, you have to throw them funky though. I bought one to play catch with and learned its more of a frisbee throw than a dg throw. Super fun to toss back and forth! (and great for sketch approaches when you NEED the disc to hit and sit quick). Also innova pro plastic varies wildly (in my experience) based on the disc, some feel like star and some feel like dx, most are somewhere in between.
So on whole 17 that pose that you made right after you threw literally looked like you were trying to do. Jim Carrey's the Grinch that part where he's like "oooh ahhhh....THATS IT IM NOT GOING!" It had me rolling
Anthony, this should become a thing. Jesse and you should do a pick a disc blind box challenge. Both have boxes, but the other person picks your disc to throw off tee.
Always fun seeing younger/newer players encounter discs like the Lightning that were designed/named when the range of speed and stability was much narrower than today. Also fun to see them realize that DX is the truth.
manta needs more attention! i bag them in gstar and they're absolute money, but they're usually a limited release. my first one was actually a mystery disc when i first started playing, and it's the disc that taught me to throw hyzer flips
LOL "Runy." Im guessing that is Run-1on the Interceptor. I have a first run Koi and they hand write on the back that it is the 1st run. Great video, very fun to watch!
The SE Teebird stickiness is dye or something from the plastic coming out. My SE Teebird have the same thing. Actually all my pro/ce from that era have the same issue.
Funny. The interceptor NEVER leaves my bag. Its my spike hyzer approach, in the woods, disc. Almost like a justice but you can really count on the taco sit when lands on edge. Funny how your tee-bird is so flippy, yet my glow bird(huge dome) covers the OS spot of my fairways. Fun vid man, looks like you're running a little slower than usual. Only about 2x speed on this vid. Hope all is well with you.
I found a old dx cro but it doesn't say dx and flys just like my meteors. I also love a new dx thunderbird especially here in east NC where it's not windy
Had a dx valkyrie that sat at the bottom of a lake for like 2 years then was returned to me. When I finally got it back, it flew like that albatross 😆 Fun, but absolutely useless. Gave it to my father-in-law when he got into disc golf. Worked great for him while he was learning how to throw.
Gotcha@@BodanzaDiscGolf , It was awesome seeing that video series. I have been attempting to work on form but have been hesitant cause I do not know where to start. I think something with my timing, I just watched Paul Berries distance video with Ezra Aderhold. The point being my throwing arm(RHBH) is being getting reached back a bit too early or late, among the mountainous other bad form that I need to fix. I throw around 350 golf shot flat ground. Age might be on my side since I am growing(16 YO). We'll hope.
That disc with the finger ripples on the rim comes from a starter pack you get when you buy a Costco basket. The basket is as bad as the discs that come with it. Unfortunately, I have 3 sets.
Old DX is somewhere between modern DX and Pro. I think the story was that they were running out of original DX plastic around 2000 and they started experimenting with different suppliers to replace it. They ended up finding "Pro" plastic, which was similar to old DX, but more durable, and changed DX to a new cheaper plastic that is much less durable. Around 2005 someone making discs for Innova mixed 50/50 champion and pro plastic and made a fantastic blend, which was softer than champion, but more durable than pro. They were of course fired for playing around without permission, and later Innova came out with star plastic, which is/was about a 60/40 blend, and is thought to be inferior to the 50/50 blend.
also another weird question. How tall are you? I feel like I am around the same height and bodyType. Trying to replicate your form. Seems to be working!...If Yall havent seen the Bodanza and drew gibsion "mini Series" i suggest you watch.
Adam’s hollow (this one), fehringer and Lower badlands are my 3 based on where I live. If you’re closer south, west fork and villages greens? If you can get to a mountain course and it’s not crazy snowy all are great so far that I’ve tried
@@BodanzaDiscGolf have you played Prickly pines ? It’s maybe half an hour or 45 mins from where I lived and it’s super fun and technical, plays a lot like the mountain courses even though it’s closer and not in the mountains
@@BodanzaDiscGolf is there a disc golf shop here in Denver? My bag was lost in transport at the airport and I want to get a couple discs to play tomorrow
Only the mystery boxes that are cheap compared to the number of discs. Gyropalooza and a lot of disc mania boxes are pretty good but that’s because they are charging near normal retail price to give you the good shit
Already scheming the next one 😉
ever consider using some discs that you don't have enough to make new discs with to make like mini discs for keychains/christmas tree ornaments ?

Elevation interceptor is where it’s at 😎
-2 is super solid especially given the disc circumstances
That Franklin though. Oh my god I laughed so hard. As soon as I saw that thing flip all the way around. I was like go krillin go
It was cool running into you at the park this evening. Keep putting in the work and having fun!
Great meeting you too!! Let’s keep putting in the work

Bro I have a manta and I absolutely love it!
Now I want a Stingray and a Manta... and the Panther, and the... all in DX ;)
Sasquatch disc on hole 4 where the Bigfoot statue is!?!? Dude, that should have been an ace!
Anthony, this should become a thing. Jesse and you should do a pick a disc blind box challenge.

The camera shots and placement look great!

I play this course a ton. Such a great spot.

I’m only on hole 8, but it would be fun if you go over par then you get to make him a mystery box.
You might like the Innova Panther, pretty dope Control Mid from back in the day
My old cro is pretty good. Back up for I lose my meteor
I bag a Manta! 🎉🎉🎉
I like this idea!
I have a flash flight driver. 12/5/-4/1 I think.
It's actually a pretty good driver.
Their catch disc is way better though.
Old dx is kinda goated
How come 16:30 is the most beautifully composed disc golf shot ever?
Lol pretty sure that was the third run of the interceptor, ie Run 3 not runny
Hahaha that makes more sense
9:21 haha they invented the Rollo before it was cool
Would you ever go into a supermarket, blindfold yourself, agree to only buy six things, and then choose those things at random.
I didn't think so.
Is this video Drew Gibson Form proofed?
Half, they’ll get there by the end of the off-season, but still a lot to work on! 😂 I filmed this between my series with Drew and going to Lynchburg

Woah! Didn’t know any of this! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
Why wouldn’t they make the 50/50 blend rather than the 60/40 if it’s better?
I don't know what Gstar is made of, but it's probably like 60/40 the other way.@@seeballgetball937
Manta is what a Comet tries to be. Underrated mold.
I guess that means it’s the real people’s buzzz 😮
@@BodanzaDiscGolf The real people's Buzzz is the Ching Roc
Some of those are really old school

Moral of the story, Innova DX plastic good shit
Old DX maybe. I have a few and they seem to hold up much better than anything new in DX.
Yeah I’ve been super pleasantly surprised by all the old dx stuff I’ve thrown
I’ll be out in Denver the first weekend of December for my birthday and wanted to play. Do you have any courses you’d recommend?

Mystery boxes are the biggest scam it’s just discs they can’t sell or colors nobody wants
Yeh bro
Spoiler alert next time please
Meh, I've been pleasantly surprised in the past. I even got a 4 claw buzzz in one.
1. Did you watch the video?
2. Mystery boxes can be good for people want to build a bag or newbies. 8-10 new disc less than individual buys

I used to bag a Lightning disc "Roller". It never rolled for me, but it was a decently straight disc.
