Tour Pro shoots UNBELIEVABLE score with just a 6-IRON!

- We challenged Dan Bradbury to see what score he could shoot around the formidable 7,600-yard Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates armed with just one club of his choice.
Presenting the second DP World Tour One Club Round.
After Andy Sullivan shot a +6, 78, around the Belfry last year with a 5-iron, Bradbury was next to take on the test of skill, strategy and patience. We challenged him to choose just one club from his bag and play a full 18 holes to see how low he could go around the host venue of the DP World Tour Championship.
Bradbury opted for a 6-iron as his chosen club for the day and targeted shooting a +10 82 around the notoriously difficult course. How would he fare?

Lovely work Dan - you have new fans in Aus. My son and I play a lot of 1, 2 or 3 club rounds and it's helped us enormously. If I ever fall out of love with a club, I just play it in a 1 club round and the love returns, strangely. We've even played with just a 60 deg!
My son, aged 13 dropped from 8.6 to 3.9 in 6 weeks and a lot of that we put down to our many limited club rounds. You really learn to play a range of strokes and be confident doing so.

I can only encourage all weekend worriers to take one club on the course on a regular basis. It's fun, you play faster and generally more consistent. I do this at least once a week and I can play to my handicap (8) regularly with several single clubs. Even with a fairway wood.

Amazing round of golf
I used to do this with friends when I was having an off day and they were having a decent day and got mouthy. I was a 1 hdcp and they were mostly 80’s shooters. I’d drop off the bag and come back with 6 iron at the turn and place a bet. Short course with 3 bunkers total so it wasn’t that hard to shoot 2 or 3 over. Plus they’d always fall apart on their own just trying to break 80. Good times.
