Thank you for sharing the video! It was easy to follow you and enjoyable, too. You look pretty. The way you sipped the tea/ coffee at the beginning of the video was really funny! I am looking forward to starting knitting this beautiful scarf.
Hi -- Love this pattern! I haven't done any crochet-ing since granny squares as a kid, and some little bracelets -- This is my first big project -- LOVE the pattern, and it's everything I love about crochet -- that open lacy quality that it can create, and lots of texture -- I made mine about 48 inches long, or so, and whipped it together for an infinity scarf -- I have LOTS of mistakes, but the project was thoroughly enjoyable, and I'm astonished at what a magnificent thing I was able to create! Thanks so much for your clear instructions, and this wonderful pattern that was challenging enough to keep my interest, but still pretty good for a beginner! Jenny
I'm quite proud of this little stitch combination for all the reasons you mention. I'm so pleased that you found it an enjoyable project. Send me a picture to my facebook page, mistakes and all......would love to see it!
Great tutorial. This definitely helps me when trying to follow a written pattern. This looks more complicated but definitely will give it a go. Thanks so much for your time and patience.
I used this pattern in some chunkier wool and it was great! Such a lovely stitch and easy to follow tutorial especially for a beginner like me. Thanks! Lauren
This really is a beautiful variation of a bobble stitch pattern! Love your set up - the upper class British style, including the cup of tea with milk. LOL Clear and calm instructions; tops!
This is the first time I'm ever commenting on a RUclips video :) I started learning crochet a few months ago and was desperately looking for a pattern that I can use for a scarf / shawl that would be ok for my level and would be pretty as well, and then I finally found your RUclips tutorial. I've started working on it and it's turning out to be pretty, can't wait to see the finished project :)) I love your patterns, they are absolutely pretty and unique. Thanks a lot for this clear tutorial. Keep up your wonderful work :)
So cute, thanks for sharing! I'm using this stitch to make myself an infinity scarf witha black yarn and a golden lamé yarn woven together, and it's turning out gorgeous!
Love this stitch, easy to follow and perfect for some black Alpaca I have. Cant wait to try this and I have subscribed. Excited to see your other creations.
Just about to finish my scarf with this stitch, and I love it! Your instructions were great. I would really like to get the pattern for the gloves and hat so I can make them too!
This is simply beautiful! Thank you for sharing! :) I am just a beginner with crochet but I hope to be able to learn to do this one day! Is there a link to the written instructions? I need to go very slowly with new stitches and am still learning to read patterns. Thank you! :)
Love this scarf. Would love to be able to make a matching hat in this stitch, if you looking for another tutorial idea. I think that would be great. Thanks for the video!
This is such a beautiful stitch! Thank you for showing it. Can you do a tutorial on the hat? I want to make a set for my neices before winter. I've started on one scarf and just love the way it looks.
Hi, I have two hat videos in this stitch. A Beanie hat and a Beret. Search under my channel for Pineapple Stitch Beret and you will find them. There are gloves to match too!
Would love to see a picture of how it turns out if you get time. I have made so many things in this stitch, as it really is such fun to work. The Beanie and Beret hats are my favourite. I have videos for them too on my channel should you want a matching set!
Thank you - love your work and your teaching style! Will the gloves and beret also be crochet? (you refer to knitting above and I am not quite ready for that!)
The Beret and Gloves combine crochet with a small knitted band. Don't panic about the knitting side of things as I aim to explain all in a series of videos coming very soon!
muy bonitos todos los trabajos que presentas, te felicito. Muchos de tus seguidores somos de de América latina mi sugerencia es poner subtítulos en español y tendrás más seguidores
Good afternoon I really like weaving, their designs are very cute, I would like to know how the cap, that you are using, is made in this tutorial, thanks for your help
Search for pineapple stitch beret or pineapple stitch beanie under my channel, The Casting On Couch. There you will find the videos for the matching hats.
Mark Masterson It is a beautiful stitch and fun to work. It builds really quickly compared to anything knitted. I am definitely more of a knitter than a crocheter myself. So give yourself some time and have a go! The nearest I have to this stitch in knitting is the raspberry stitch: ruclips.net/video/FipIuWIlBsE/видео.html
Hi again! I am having trouble finding this "4 ply" yarn that uses the #3 hook - all I see at the stores (US) in that size is sock yarn (asks for 3.25 hook) I am going through the yarn looking at the size hook required to find what might be what you describe... will this work? I did a "practice" with a bigger yarn and hook but the bobbles don't "pop" :( thanks!
The yarn I have used in this video also recommends a 3.25mm hook and it is a typical 4-ply yarn. I have deliberately used a smaller hook (size 3mm) than recommended. So try going down a fraction from the ball band tension and see if that improves things.
My thoughts exactly on her resemblance to Emily Watson ... At first I thought Watson was doing tutorials. Glad I stopped by and have now subscribed ... She's fantastic with her instructions and love her designs.

This is advertised as the pineapple stitch shawl tutorial but it's the bobble stitch instead. Thought you should know.
How much yarn is needed to make this scarf?
thank you alot
Love your pattern! But omg has anyone ever told you that you look exactly like Emily Watson? Like crazy doppelgänger stuff lol
