    This was probably one of the best videos I’ve seen for a simple motivator with FLYing. Like FlyLady says, you are not behind, just jump in where you’re at! Thanks so much!

    Don’t put it down...put it away is a life saving habit to master and a gift to your children to mold into their lives.

    By the way, i think anyone who is a successful fly baby has had multiple starts. I'm on my 5th start and it seems to be sticking this time, mainly because i watch Diane in Denmark and you every day and that I've actually written the routines down and out one up on the kitchen, one inside the cupboard where I store my perfume, so i see it every day and one in my planner. And this time, i do not beat myself up if I'm not perfect. Xxx

    I needed this video this morning when I couldn't get to what I usually do this morning. But it's ok. We are human and not robots. And you're right, the house looks cleaner even with just the am/ pm routines in place right now.

    I've learned to take care of my boyfriend's pet peeve(s) and my pet peeve(s) first and anything else is the cherry on top. So for him it's no dirty dishes and for me is a clean floor.

    I love this video so much! You can tell you've been in a place of frustration yet you're choosing and encouraging others to stay positive and let the burden fall off your shoulders. Seriously appreciate you being honest like this and showing an example of what it's like to improve when things aren't perfect 🙂 you are awesome ❤

    Thanks for the encouragement! The last few days have been rough and most of my routines have fallen to pieces! (Seems like that’s how it goes) I didn’t even open my control journal today. I just walked through my house to lock the doors and I looked around and thought I’m failing at this. Challenge accepted!

      @TheSecretSlob  6 лет назад +4

      I hear you! Its so hard to not be hard on ourselves. Keep at it, one thing I am really seeing is that doing the routines day after day, they get easier since the day before sets up the next day. Just gotta stick with it!

    Hi Steph, I clicked on this cos it's something I struggle with. Iv recently left a job so I need to create routines regardless and actually iv been good with dressed to shoes, which is amazingly effective..I love the"THAT CUPBOARD" btw..It sounds like something out of sienfeld 😅😀. .I really loved how you spoke of how much your husband's feedback helped you and it is profound ..I often find any feedback from caring people profound just cos they see things we don't think of..what a relief this can be..And thank you for sharing this with us here!! So you do what you can...and Start...just start...even for short increments to get things moving ..Enjoying watching you CHILL CHRISTMAS this year. .I celebrate hanuka but also love making festive treats with flavours of Xmas and just really love this time of year ..Such a good move steph, You are a great teacher and friend. .Love Lia😊

    Go ahead and vacuum the toddlers will sleep through it after a while. I really think its avmistake to tiptoe around sleeping babies. They can hear before they are born and I assume you vacuumed then.

    I am wondering what you listen to while you clean and declutter if anything. Do you find it better to listen to music, youtube videos, tv, or do you find it works better for you for it to be quiet during your cleaning time? I'm trying to figure out what works best for me, but need help! So, I thought I would see what you have found out for yourself or does it even seem to matter?

    • @TheSecretSlob
      @TheSecretSlob  5 лет назад +1

      I often clean in the quiet since my kids are sleeping. We crank the tunes after dinner though and have a clean up dance party :) :)

    • @melissaschaub1275
      @melissaschaub1275 5 лет назад

      Having a night routine dance party sounds great! I want to listen to something in the mornings, but I have noticed recently, since I am home by myself, it slows me down to have sound. I should clean in quiet when I'm by myself. When family is home in the evenings, I work faster no matter how much sound there is because I want to hurry up and be able to play with them afterwards!

      I was a mess before I was a Mom.. if anything, I was worse because I only had to live with myself. Glad to have you here and good luck with your journey :) We can do it!

  • @cack121
    @cack121 5 лет назад +1

    The very best thing I ever did for myself was NOT toss my clothes from the dryer into a basket. As you can see, they tend to sit and then they get all wrinkled. I folded them directly from the dryer into a basket. I have been doing this since I became a homemaker (40 yrs now) raised 7 children and have never once had a pile of unfolded clothes. It is a game changer if you start doing that. PROMISE
