  • While doing a test run of a livestream for my #minipaintchallenge, I recorded the time lapse for this oil painting.
I wanted to do an easy painting of a bow like you would find on a present. I kept it easy so I could pay more attention to other things like:
    - the audio quality of the stream
    - checking for messages in the chat
    - getting b-roll to use for Shorts and Reels
    - recording the time lapse while streaming
I'm glad the painting turned out just the way I expected and I was able to stream the whole process.
Here's more info about the Mini Pain Challenge I mentioned earlier:
Every week (starting Dec. 6, 2023) I will post a reference photo and sketch on Tuesday (@ 10am PST). Then I will go live on my RUclips channel Wednesday’s (@ 10-1pm PST) to walk you through my process. Cut out a 3x3 inch piece of paper or grab some mini canvases, sketch the prompt and join in on the LIVE chat!
⭐ Do a rough sketch of the reference photo beforehand.
⭐ Gather your paint supplies. (Oil, Acrylic, Watercolour, Digital, Paint Sticks…)
⭐ Join the RUclips live stream or paint on your own time.
⭐ Post your painting on Instagram or Facebook
    ⭐ Use the hashtag #minipaintchallenge
⭐ Tag me @meganjosolart so I can show your art some love!
I will be painting all these prompts in oil paint but feel free to use any medium of your choice. I’m so excited to see all your mini paintings and can’t wait to show you what I have planned! Feel free to just come say hi or ask any questions on the LIVE streams too.
You can follow me on my Instagram & Facebook page if you want to see daily painting updates, stories, reels, and posts.
