This is a great album. I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. Some of their other songs would be better examples of the overall vibe of the album imo
Love this song, it was actually my most played on Spotify this year haha. "Artificial Suicide" is more about unplugging from the constant technology like social media. "You hate the shape when you have to see an unfamiliar face on an all black screen" is a good summary of the song as a whole, I think. If you were to just delete your Twitter, Instagram, etc, it's basically committing artificial suicide. This is one of their heavier ones but there's plenty of stuff that's more melodic and whatnot that I think you guys would dig. "The Death of Peace of Mind" is my personal favorite. Great reaction!
Absolutely love Bad Omens! They opened for Godsmack earlier this year in Denver and that's how I found them. You guys need to try Like a Villain, Just Pretend and The Death of Peace and Mind. They are ridiculously talented.
The energy in this song is absolutely electrifying! A suggestion as well! Nick Thurl Mavromatis' new song is on a whole other level. You should react to his new song! 🔥
I am glad to see you get into Bad Omens, even if it is obviously not your jam; sometimes, it is more interesting to hear an unfavorable opinion than a good one, when it is politely done and decently argumented. To be fair to the band though, I don't think they ever considered themselves a "true" metalcore band and the evolution in their sound was gradual. Usually, I am drawn to a band for the harsher songs and tend to skip the softer ones, but it is the exact opposite with The death of piece of mind, because the mix of heavy and soft is very tastefully done, at least in my opinion. I hope that "Like a villain" or "Concrete jungle" are on Judson's sister list, because they give a much better idea of Noah's vocal range, which it is probably the most interesting thing about Bad Omens.
Would love to see some Be'lakor! They're one of my favorite bands of all time, up there with TBDM (though different styles). Songs I'd suggest as starters: -Countless Skies -In Parting -An Ember's Arc -Much More Was Lost Those second 2 are part of concept albums that tell stories. An Ember's Arc is the start of a story for its album, so there's no needed context other than "it continues from there". Much More Was Lost is the last song of its album, so just for context the people that the kids come across in their adventures in that song are references to victims of tragic lives in the other songs. It's about the kids losing their innocence and blissful ignorance of the sadness of the world so to speak. The album as a whole is a collection of tragic stories of people living around a mountain over time.
I've been enjoying going thru your channel the past few days after discovering it w/ your "Orion" video. Really good stuff you got here. I'd like to suggest a couple songs I think would be interesting and might work here. First, "Endarkenment" by Anaal Nathrakh and second, "Drone Corpse Aviator" by Archspire. Both, I think would have an appeal to a classically trained musician while still being incredibly challenging, punishing metal tracks. Regardless, keep up the good work and good luck!
What's up guys. Hey Richard, have you heard of Harper? She did a cover of this song, would love for you to check it out. My new favorite channel. Then we can dive into some of her stuff.
This song is gorgeous. This is the first time I'm hearing it, and your voice is stunning. How about changing the game with October Ends' "Dark"? Nick Thurl would be your biggest fan! 💪
Hi guys. Since Judson seemed a little disappointed by Devin Townsend's lack of guitar virtuosity during Deadhead, perhaps you could check out the song "Deconstruction" by the Devin Townsend Project, from the album of the same name. It is Devin at his most chaotic and intense and I think both of you might get a kick out of it.
Really like Bad Omens and am a recent fan. I listen to a lot of electronic/noise rock. A Death Of Piece Of Mind would be a much better song for you two...
Would Bring Me The Horizon be an example of the kind of band you’re talking about departing from their early metalcore roots? 😂 I would recommend their 2013 and 2015 albums if i didn’t think you’d turn your noses up to it.
I'd love for you guys to react to some Bring Me The Horizon, Chelsea Smile is an oldie but a goodie, and seeing how different they are now is jarring, but I'd also love for yall to react to something off their newest album too. I love yalls content, keep up the good work!
This is the last song on the album and also the heaviest... also my least favorite even though I can't say exactly why. It's just not as interesting as the rest of the album.... just a big heavy finisher I guess. I was obsessed with this album last year and it's pretty great from start to finish. WHEN YOU DO "LIKE A VILLAIN" make sure to do "What It Cost" together with it, it's a shorter interlude kind of track that leads into Like a Villain both musically and lyrically. Also regarding the discussion - from interviews I've seen with Noah he felt like he really opened up vocally on this album and seemed pretty proud of it and like he was "trapped" on past albums to just do screaming and not expand into singing territory much, so this is his "finding his voice" album. I think of it as "The Weeknd meets metalcore" lol... poppy catchy metalcore? But it's pretty well done IMO and the album as a whole is a nice work of art. Also some of these songs he wrote on freakin Twitch live streams with fan contributions to lyrics and stuff, how cool is that?
I kinda liked that but wouldn't choose to listen to it again. There were bits of Clown Core in there and I bet they're good fun live, but it did leave me cold overall.
Got 2 bands for yall... MUDERDOLS slit my wrist..suicidal tendencies waking the dead..ST should be on the BIG 4..(and the BIG FAT NOODLE KNOWS ABOUT big yall 😬 ) because anthrax sucks... St never get the props they deserve
Deff not my cup of earl grey either 👎... The music is 90s ish industrial to me... And if i want that i will put on ministry...and the singer is just yelling over it..to me its just all been done before and done better from bands in the past
This is a great album. I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. Some of their other songs would be better examples of the overall vibe of the album imo
Saw them live a few months ago, they put on an amazing live performance. Everyone goes crazy in the pit during this song

Love this Song and band....Great pick

Always great to be introduced to a new band. Love the format also, long time viewer 💚🤙
Thank you! 🤘

Bad Omens is all over the spectrum on the last album. Definitely need MOAR
I adore this band, listen to them all the time ❤👏👏👏

Yes, both of those songs are. Thank you for the feedback. Excited to hear more! 🤘
@@Greatmeasuresaww man, no title track?
Bring me the horizon… Where metalcore peaks… Have you guys done them?? Sleepwalking!!
That's not peak metalcore.. that was their best album though!!
They are a great example of modern metalcore, at least the last album.
Would love to see some Be'lakor! They're one of my favorite bands of all time, up there with TBDM (though different styles). Songs I'd suggest as starters:

Richard you need the CRADLE OF FILTH tshirt with the nun on the front..i wont tell yah whats on the back 😂
Guys, you have to do some Dance Gavin Dance. I think Judson would love them.

This music gives me serious energy! I'll leave you with a request. You have to react to October Ends' new song, it's mind-blowing!
itz a beautiful noise
This song is gorgeous. This is the first time I'm hearing it, and your voice is stunning.
How about changing the game with October Ends' "Dark"? Nick Thurl would be your biggest fan! 💪
You guys definitely need to do some Bring me the Horizon if going down this path!

How bout some GWAR? Immortal corrupter?👍
loved ttheir a super lot. top musical content. 🔥🔥🔥Btw seriously you need to reacto to Damaged by October Ends
(pianist practices his stank face)
Was wondering have you heard of October Ends? Their new song is fire! You should react to it
Could of picked so many other songs over this one. Such an amazing band.
Really like Bad Omens and am a recent fan. I listen to a lot of electronic/noise rock. A Death Of Piece Of Mind would be a much better song for you two...
Show him Necrophagist - The Stillborn One
Should we put Judson on some “Wildfire” by Periphery? 👀
richie is such a boomer
Need to check out Ghost-Life Eternal
next...Kim Dracula please..

I would probably put them in that category but I have no problem checking out something from that era. Any song in particular?
@@Greatmeasuresshadow moses is one of their most known songs, and for me se best one
I mean, even the evolution between Count Your Blessings/Pray For Plagues (2006) to Shadow Moses (2013) to Throne (2015) speaks volumes.
@@TrevIEnt my point exactly. I respect a band for switching things up if they feel the desire to do so and not be defined by their first albums.
@@Greatmeasures I know, you’re an open-minded dude. i’m drawn to the melodies in Doomed and Sleepwalking, but i have no idea what you’d be into.
Please make a react video with my videos!

Maybe their new stuff would be better to get into first actually, Ludens is a really good one

why do they sound so tired
You could have picked a lighter song from them
I’m getting an earful from Tasha about this one. Apparently she told me to start with a different song from Bad Omens. 😂 Oops
Just Pretend, Like a Villain, The Death of Piece of Mind
I kinda liked that but wouldn't choose to listen to it again. There were bits of Clown Core in there and I bet they're good fun live, but it did leave me cold overall.
