    I appreciate you being very real about this issue in your videos! Your situation sounds very similar to mine. I'm 38 years old and started blood pressure meds about a month ago, currently taking 80mg of valsartan once a day. My white coat syndrome is very bad, blood pressure goes through the roof at the doctor's office. I'm doing all that I can to get my blood pressure stabilized though being more active and eating cleaner along with taking supplements. I just ordered fish oil and will be adding that to my arsenal! I have to remind myself that this is a process since I find myself getting a little impatient with my blood pressure numbers (about 152/93) but again I want to thank you for sharing your story. It truly helps to know I'm not alone in this.

    Blood pressure is the highest when you wake in the morning because your stress hormone cortisol is the highest which is normal and what wakes you in the morning.

    Having to urinate and talking will elevate your blood pressure.
    Emptying your bladder, sitting quietly, and not talking are the 3 most important variables in order to get 'accurate' blood pressure readings.
    SHAME that most nurses/doctors patently ignore the above....hmmm...wonder why a medical practice would deliberately cau$e 'fal$e high blood pre$$ure reading$ "??

      Your blood pressure monitoring equipment might not be 100% accurate. But how would any of us know if our machines are highly accurate or not? I have same issue with the machine I use. I take three readings, spaced 1-2 minutes apart, recording each and then calculate an average reading from that data. That approach seems to provide more consistency when I compare readings from day to day.

    For a few days before visiting my gp I take my own bp. Four times in one sitting. The first is always the highest then the next 3 with a few minutes interval called resting rate, are lower if slightly different readings.I then take these readings, except the first to the gp. Sometimes they work out the avarage for the day. Sometimes I'm shocked at how low the average is yet I'm still on a low dose bp medication. It's confusing because bp goes up with activity so should that be taken into account also?

  • @SharonSchmidt-rz8im

    My bp is always high at the doctors. I take my bp at home every 3 days at different times and write it down. I take that to my doc to prove I’m not high. You should be seated for 5 min before checking it too.

    Auto BP machines are a joke! I am always way high on them, at home and DR.'s office 😮
    I took my machine in to compare to manual reading at my cardiology appointment...
    My machine was 20 mm/Hg higher than the manual reading from the nurse! Both systolic and diastolic.
    There is no way to calibrate the auto system to correct for error - I stopped using mine at home

    Doctors are highly trained technicians similar to being a mechanic but to a far higher level. They are not engineers or scientists, most medical schools are looking for quick thinkers who have an incredible accurate memory who can remember and perform procedures.
    Scientists and engineers study to a higher level than medicine does.
    The problem like with cars is diagnosis, you need that engineering or scientific thinking to properly diagnose a car and you need that for diagnosing medical issues as well.
    With AI things are going to change as the requirement for this incredible memory will no longer be needed. I hope to see a shift where well known medical science findings are available to everyone not just a few who have creative doctors.

    • @rangerdanger222
      @rangerdanger222 Месяц назад

      If your heart rate is elevated your blood pressure is also likely elevated. Your hr is like the tachometer on a car and your BP is like oil pressure. If the tac is above idle the oil pressure is above minimum. If you want to compare your body to the research studies use the minim value not an arbitrary elevated value.
