I also have the same pack, bought it new in 2012. I still use it now and it’s taken some serious knocking. It’s been perfect for my role, where my gear has to be super organized for speed. I can get to everything in seconds without the need to unpack from the top like most packs would force me to do. The only problem I’ve had to date was the material inside the top pocket had a fight with some Velcro and lost big time. It got shredded to pieces and basically the pocket just became another way into the sack. In fairness to Camelbak, they offered to send me a new pack, but not a trizip as they don’t make them anymore. I declined, I’d rather have a slightly damaged trizip than a new camelback model. I ended up just having the inside top pocket repaired with a canvas material, which works better than the original soft black stuff. Fairly expensive when I bought it new, but with 8 years solid use, it’s turned out to be pretty cheap.

I bought the same pack back in 2015 used on Ebay for $150. It's been my range and gym bag. It's a great bag for what it is but with a 35lbs load it starts to get uncomfortable. I just purchased a molle II medium ruck still in the plastic for $180. Waiting for it to come in the mail off ebay. I know that some units get them for deployments but not going to wait around for that.

Does WD-40 help with the zipper problem?

IDK. I never tried it. But it sure couldn’t hurt to try. I also heard there are silicone sprays that are good for zippers.

WD-40 isn't a real lubricant and it will evaporate. Synthetic sewing machine oil or graphite powder is probably a better option.
