    Keep those fabulous old movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood coming, many of them were true masterpieces like The Hunchback of Notre Dame 1939, along with many others! 1939 was a banner year with great award winning films! Younger people need to realize this really wasn't that long ago and it was quite modern back then! Note those modern chrome chairs by the pool and those sexy backless evening gowns or ones with spaghetti straps or one shouldered gowns! Dolly Tree, a British costume designer was the first to create those sexy modern gowns and influenced me to become a professional fashion illustrator in the late 1960s and 70s in NYC! My late parents were married in 1939 and the home movies of their wedding showed the big old cars. My late father was tall dark and handsome and had movie star looks and wore an all white suit on his wedding day. Mom looked beautiful and all her bridesmaids wore turquoise gowns, with big picture hats! The color turquoise was all the rage back then even into the 1950s with pink kitchens and pink appliances! Thanks for showing this fun movie..so enjoyable! Will check out all the cast members!

    This was a perfect movie as its a predecessor of the Rock Hudson and Doris Day movies with similar plots Also Warren Hull was not only very handsome but could act well also. Even I fell in love with Henry by the end of the movie lol. I give this a solid gold 10. Shame on Hollywood for not making Warren Hull and the female lead more famous with more well written scripts and hype. Im hlad these movies are here for us to learn more of old movies, the forgotten actors and genuine entertainment.❤

      i agree, but how anyone could not have seen them already is beyond me. - oh, maybe millenials. poor things, they have no idea how fun it was to have to watch commercials LOL. But we did have to wait a week to see tv shows, and movies were on when they were on! i think it was Million Dollar Movie (NYC) which used to show the same movie all week (M-F) - i would sometimes stay up til midnight to watch it. it must have been on fridays. then there was Chiller Theater - that was fun. (Actually, the scariest scene i ever, ever saw was the old witch in Snow White - scared the heck outta me. i loved the Night of the Living Dead :} They stopped making good scary movies after The Exorcist, which scared the hell outta me. - i saw a couple of them and never watched one again. they were really frightening. the only one i liked was the one in the hotel with Jack Nicholson (and Steven King hated that it really was nothing like the book - thank heavens, because i saw Carrie and i hated it; it just plain mean - have never read a single book of his.)

    OMGoodness - beginning looks like the style of Metropolis - Art Deco. The episodes of Poirot from
    England have an intro with this style :}

      The "Monogram" film company's animated logo looked rather crude and dated for 1937.

      The bridegroom to be may have been a weasel, but the bride isn't exactly a winner. She has no consideration for her lawyer as a person. He did her a favor while she acts like it's just a part of being a good lawyer.

    42:14 If you look at the reflection on the side of the car, you can see the tripod for the camera.
    It looks like they tried to camouflage it with some sort of draping.
