I love watching you brother. My dad is deep into a battle with leukemia and I've been here in rural NC doing what I can for my parents. My therapy, a large part of it, has been axe work and chainsaw work on the land, and I can't say how much these videos have both taught me and calmed and down. Keep doing your thing friend!!

I'm a volunteer with the local council here in the UK, we had a 372XP for the bigger jobs, it had run fine when we needed it over the last 12 years. Then someone borrowed it and it seized up, no oil in the fuel mix, the council workshop could not fix it so it was decided to bin it!!!!! I said I would fix it if the council bought a cylinder and piston replacement, the fix went OK and it was back in use again. Then the idiot who seized it before borrowed it again, ran it without oil again in the mix and it messed it up again. I was given it and fixed it for myself. It runs beautifully. Such a nice saw to use.

    Grew up cutting wood.
It amazes me how my dad kept our saws ready to eat.
I was in 5th grade and had my little Homlite. It was mine because they couldn't start it.
My dad decided to burn wood when I was in the 3rd grade. Dad didn't grow up cutting wood.
He did all that without RUclips.
Anyway this reminds me so much about him.

I bought my 372xp about 5 years ago with a 24 inch bar. And a extra 28 inch bar for some of the bigger trees, great saw. My neighbor has a 385xp, one day he was helping fell some trees and he tried my 372xp on a large red oak. He said it cut as good as his 385xp . I like the 372xp because of it power and it’s a little lighter then the 385xp and the 395xp. I also have a Husky 450, and two Sthil saws a 391 and a 261. The Husky 372xp fits and feels better in my hands while using it compared to my 391 Sthil. Sthil is a great saw also I love my Sthil 261 for trimming up the tree limbs.

Merry Christmas Billy ! I Spoke with a fellow the other day on FB from a stihl group that posted his work shop, had a mint Husqvarna 8’ banner from back in the day when the 371xp first hit the market and the sales price on the banner was $365.00 American ! 🤯 lol I tried to purchase this but no dice, I wanted to send it your way as a gift but he didn’t want to get off it, you do so much big fella and wanted to give back a bit. I’ve cut for a living all my life but I stayed away from certain cuts just because I always had big machines to handle em, anyways I did a small clearing job a couple weeks back and I had a 90’ poplar, crooked stump and leaning way back towards the house, only had one way to send it and that was up hill across the drive ( narrow shot ) anyways the low side was so steep for the small machine I had ( didn’t wanna crush my money maker ) I payed close attention to your back cut first/ banging the wedges videos and applied what you showed me , happy to say I went back cut first, slipped in my wedges,
    Got em right and made
My face cut, banged away and she went exactly wear I aimed .. sir I just want to say you’ve inspired and giving me the confidence to make cuts I would never do and just use a 40,000 lb how to handle, I’m a 43 year old dog learning new tricks. 25 years making a living clearing land and I can tell you I’ve never walked into a track feeling more confident than I do now and that’s thanks to you sir. Hats off to ya and all the love and proactive vibrations from down here in North Carolina, have a happy new year and we’ll catch ya on the flip side 🤙🏻

The warm up and cool down cycles are super important and this is for every type of engines. The piston to cylinder clearance will change with temperature and is design to be optimum when operating temperature if achieved. Lubrification, pre-mix ratios are set to work best under the intended clearance. Give time for the piston to expand before demanding full power.

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to BB, Family, Crew and Fellow Watchers.
About 5 months ago I had to buy a New Saw for a milling job and my Husq 362XP just plain wore out (waiting on rebuild parts).
I bought the Husq 372XP and have been extremely pleased running 24” and 28” Husq Bars with mostly Husq “X-Cut” Chains, 90 Octane Non-Eth Gas & Husq Full Synth Oil @ 45:1.
I tend to “Brrp” the saw in the cut a few times with big wood … especially in Harder Woods (Red Oak, Locust, Maple etc.) … simply to let the chain and cut “Clear”.
I never really “Modified” anything …simply because I don’t know what I’m doing.
The 362XP is an awesome machine turning out 8 years of incredible results in nasty situations (10+ year cured on the ground 18-24”+ Black & Honey Locust … like sawing a Rock) and more …
The 372XP is HARD to think of a Good Enough Compliment for it. It started life Milling 4” x 18”+ x 10’ Ash Planks (25) for Bridging (which, using regular X-Cut Chain maybe wasn’t “Fair” but it just banged out the work) and has been Roaring ever since both Felling and Bucking.
I never thought I’d consider my 362XP “Just a Back-up” but … once I get done rebuilding it … it might get relegated to a 16 or 24 Bar and be mostly for Limbing on the Ground.
Da …. Errr … Durn Good Saws!!!

Great video sir....oil in a 2 cycle motor does act as a coolant as well as the fuel... and if there is no oil or not enough that's how you will potentially roast your saw happy new year

I only wish I could get my 372 done like that. It’s on third overhaul... was a thunder saw from PowelRiver...last overhauled at my courtenay local... that saw flat out rocks... keep up the great content Buckin...all the best to you and yours. Merry Christmas 🎄
